Transcripts
this is exactly how I'd get rich in my
teens if I had to start all over again I
started this whole trying to make money
online thing when I initially started
high school but never really saw
anything grow until I was in university
so you're going to want to watch until
the end to see how I would have done it
all faster so I was watching a video
today and one of the things that the guy
was talking about multi multi7 figure
entrepreneur um he was basically
explaining what money is it's simply the
exchange of value so let's just talk
about the elephant in the room and
that's that teens just simply aren't
valuable like I hate to break it to you
but if if if that's the definition of
money right if we're talking about money
being the store of value and you have
none that kind of makes it a little bit
difficult but I also think it provides
some upsides because it kind of lets you
tap into these things that other people
wouldn't be willing to do especially
because you're a teen you see what I
mean by that is I'll I'll be completely
honest teens are pretty dumb right like
the bar is incredibly low and as long as
you take the right steps you can put
yourself way ahead of everybody else
very early on but that's the key thing
you only get that by developing yourself
I see a lot of people getting into these
getrich qu schemes or you know thinking
that these you know quick little ways of
making money is going to be sustainable
when in reality the easiest most
sustainable and honestly most fulfilling
way is by just developing yourself
becoming somebody of value and the final
thing which honestly I wish I had heard
a lot earlier was to kind of reject your
reality right especially if you're
growing up in a middle class situation
maybe even a low class situation where
you're not really surrounded by money
you don't see you know the people that
are spending thousands of dollars on
month that don't even think of money in
the same way you honestly need to break
the reality of that what you currently
know about money and kind of think about
money in this new way which we'll talk
about in a little bit but before we get
into that how do you actually make money
when you're somebody that's not valuable
and when you're a teen there is one
thing that you can leverage over pretty
much anybody else like there's really
not going to be a lot of people that
have this over you and that's the fact
that when you're a teen you have an in
incredible amount of free time where
you're doing nothing now look before
anybody leaves a comment and talks about
how you know they spend all this time at
school and how they have to study and da
listen I was high school valid dictorian
right I completely get the whole study
grind thing and trust me high school is
not as hard as you think it is right
just cuz you have to spend a couple
hours studying does not mean that it's
hard all right you have the time so
instead of playing video games or just
doing nothing with your with your time
it's time to actually make money the
first thing that you can do is door Todo
power washing it's something I've seen
get super popular and honestly it makes
sense why relatively speaking it's
something that you can charge a little
bit higher tier for you only need to
make the onetime investment of the you
know the power washing machine itself
and honestly your parents probably have
one either way so just you know ask to
borrow in something like that and it
also doesn't take a long time right like
power washing someone's driveway or
their their front uh house area doesn't
actually take that much time so it's
super lucrative if you're trying to make
quick money and if you calculate it out
compared to doing something like working
part-time at a fast food restaurant
you're coming out way ahead the second
one when you're somebody that has zero
value to bring is shoveling snow I know
this might sound a little bit goofy
right you see it as like you know the
the little side income thing that kids
always do in in these movies and TV
shows but if you actually take it
seriously and you know you actually like
you know treat it like a real job
instead of this side hustle that little
kids are doing you can actually make
some half decent money now you can't
necessarily charge as much as power
washing somebody's front yard but hey if
you're making anything above 20 bucks
and hour doing these tasks as a high
schooler then honestly you're way ahead
of anybody else that's in your age
bracket and trust me you're way ahead as
somebody with zero value but the reason
that I love this isn't because you make
so much more money relative to working
uh at a fast food restaurant it's not
the fact that you get to control your
own hours you get that taste of being an
entrepreneur it's not those things the
reason why I love it is because it gets
you into the door when it comes to door
to-door sales you see one thing that
I've learned being in this
entrepreneurship game for a little while
is that everything is built upon sales
sales is the foundation of any company
if you don't have sales then you don't
have a company it's that simple and the
faster that you can learn this
especially in something like door to
door where it is I I'll be completely
transparent it's completely ruthless
right you're going to be getting people
told no to you it's going to be
embarrassing all this sort of stuff but
if you're able to learn that early on
you're going to be way ahead when it
comes to selling High ticket later on or
when you're running your own business
things like that it's just such a good
good gateway drug into learning that
high income skill which brings me on to
the next point which is how to actually
become valuable that's all great if you
know you're somebody that like I said
brings zero value to the table but if
you're a teenager how can you actually
become somebody of value in your teens
to make a lot of money and that's by
learning a high income skill now I have
a whole video talking about high income
skills that I love I talk about what I
just said learning sales High ticket
sales selling these big packages um one
other thing that I love is video editing
right people uh are always in constant
need of video editors it's a growing
industry right now especially with the
you know current content creation
economy and it's just something that is
relatively easy to get into or there are
other high income skills like coding but
the bottom line is that you're going to
want to learn one of these high income
skills because you can charge a lot more
compared to shoveling somebody's
driveway now of all the high- income
skills the one that I recommend
especially for teenagers that want to
make money is learning High tocket sales
and there's three major reasons that
you're going to want to do this first is
that philosophically sales isn't every
aspect of your life right yes I know
we're talking about business and making
money and stuff like that but as a
teenager when you want to ask to use
your parents car to go pick up somebody
for a date when you're trying to
convince teachers to give you an extra
boost on your exam Mark or even when
you're sitting with your friends
deciding where to eat if we remove the
word sales and we instead uh put in the
word persuasion right persuasion is in
every aspect in life and it's one skill
that is fundamental and so important for
everybody to learn because it gives you
like almost like this superpower if you
can leverage it the second reason like I
alluded to earlier is that sales is the
backbone of any business like think
about this logically without sales you
don't have any money and without money
you don't have a business like if you're
trying to run a business without sales
it literally makes no sense because
you're kind of just praying and hoping
that you're going to get money handed to
you when in reality that's just not how
it works and don't just take my word for
it right like I've heard in interviews
people like Alex heroi and even Mark
cubin talk about how sales is the number
one fundamental skill but the final
reason that I think sales is the most
important thing especially if you're a
teenager is that sales lets you control
how much money you make you see when
you're a teenager and you get a
part-time job working at a fast food
restaurant you know it doesn't matter
what you do if you kind of put in all
your energy or if you know you're just
lazily getting by doesn't matter either
way you're going to get that $15 an hour
or whatever it is wherever you live
whereas sales that's not the case sales
kind of forces you to harden yourself
and become amazing at what you're doing
because guess what if you don't you're
not making money it's all commission
based right at least the best ones are
commission based and if you aren't
performing if you aren't an absolute
killer at what you're doing then you're
not going to make any money and this is
the perfect formula for people that are
ambitious and people that want to get
better people that want to grow because
everything is dependent on you so okay
you know that sales is this amazing
thing especially if you're a teenager
but how can you actually get started
well I got you first off from a people's
side right understanding kind of human
psychology all that sort of stuff the
first book that you're going to want to
read is How to Win Friends and Influence
People this will kind of Deep dive into
what I was talking about when it comes
to persuasion and just understanding how
the human mind thinks so that you can
almost get inside people's head in a way
not to mention it's just a good book in
general in understanding human nature
which is the basis of pretty much
everything in life everything is human
based next you're going to want to read
$100 million leads by Alex trosi and I
know for a fact that he's either writing
or he just finished writing the sales
book which is I think going to be green
so whenever he releases that read that
too whenever it comes out um you know
I'm going to buy that immediately so the
reason I recommend this book is because
it kind of goes one step ahead of $100
million offers which talks more about
value proposition and offer and things
like that whereas this book talks about
now how to actually Garner attention and
convert that into the outcome that
you're looking for which in our case is
making money now when it comes to actual
tactical sales tips like you know
objection handling how to actually go
through a conversation things like that
100% watch Jeremy Miner his neq
framework is goated you need to take
notes on that cuz it works but the best
thing that you can do compared to
reading all those books binging all of
Jeremy Miner's videos is just practice
trust me the person that goes through
and reads hours and watches hours of all
of that stuff is still going to lose to
the guy that has went out and done hours
of actually walking up to people
knocking on their doors and trying to
sell them something sales is one of
those things where you constantly have
to strive to get better and you
constantly have to put in the work which
is again why I think it's so good as a
teenager cuz it trains that hard work
muscle so okay now we we understand why
it's important you know how to get
started but now how can you actually go
ahead and make money with this the first
way is by looking for opportunities in
groups like Facebook groups a lot of
people especially in the Internet space
are constantly looking for closers sdrs
things like that so you can join these
groups and look for any of those
opportunities that might be out there
from some of the bigger people in the
industry you could go on Facebook you
could go on school you could go on
Instagram pretty much anywhere where a
community of people Garner or where any
of these online entrepreneurs make their
groups the second thing that you can do
which I've done before is you can cold
Outreach people on their sales teams via
LinkedIn LinkedIn is like this shortcut
into contacting the highest level people
in those organizations so if you want to
get an opportunity just hand it to you
this is the best way I'm not saying that
it's easy but if you want to for example
get in contact with the sales manager
about potentially getting a job this
will definitely be the right way so with
both of those things you're kind of
getting a job you're getting an
opportunity to sell somebody's product
and kind of learn on their dime right
but the third one which is a little bit
more risky but what I actually lean more
towards is just selling your own product
the best way that you going to get good
at sales is to Simply sell more what
better way than selling your own product
not to mention you learn so much more
about just understanding product
understanding offers understanding value
proposition understanding customers so
much it's definitely the hardest of the
three no questions asked but I can
guarantee you that you'll learn a ton
from doing this now if you enjoyed this
video you'll definitely want to check
out this similar one right here
