Highlights

To truly connect with the Prophet's Seerah and Sunnah, one must know his Shama'il, including his smile and the way he spoke and carried himself.

Knowing the names and attributes of Allah helps you fall in love with Him repeatedly, making it easier to follow His commands and seek voluntary deeds.

The ultimate joy of the Akhirah is seeing Allah, which is the most precious gift He can give in Paradise.

The least of the people in Paradise will have an expansive view of their gardens, while the most noble will gaze at the face of Allah day and night.

The Prophet (PBUH) recited the verse 'Wujuhuyn yawma'idhin naadhira, ila rabbiha nadhira', which describes the radiant faces of those gazing at their Lord in Paradise.

Even the joy on the faces of people looking at food or the rivers of Jannah is immense; it pales in comparison to the joy of seeing Allah.

Those who used to engage in seclusion, conversation, and worship with Allah at night in this world will be able to see Him in the Hereafter.

The Prophet (PBUH) confirmed that everyone in Jannah will see Allah, just like people see the full moon without crowding.

On Fridays in Jannah, Allah will address the people from a valley of white musk, with the prophets sitting on chairs of light.

'Hadha yawmul mazeed'—the day of increase—refers to the day when the people of Jannah will see the face of Allah, which is the greatest gift.

When Allah says, 'They will have all they desire, and We have more for them,' the 'more' is the ability to see Allah.

The Prophet (PBUH) clarified that 'Al-nadharu ila wajhi al-Karim'—to gaze at the noble face of Allah—is the greatest reward for those who perform Ihsaan (excellence).

A voice will call out to the people of Jannah, inviting them to visit Allah. They will all respond, 'Sam’an wa taa’an,' and gather to witness His magnificence.

When Allah reveals Himself, His light will be so overwhelming that it will erase all past pains and sadness for the people of Paradise.

Every person in Jannah will have a private conversation with Allah, where He will remind them of their sins, but also how His forgiveness led them to Paradise.

Transcripts

play00:00

To really connect

play00:01

with the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam's Seerah

play00:03

and his Sunnah, you really need to know his Shama'il,

play00:07

you need to know his smile SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam

play00:09

you need to know the way that he looked,

play00:11

the way that he spoke, the way that he carried himself,

play00:14

how he was in his home, how he was in the masjid.

play00:18

Once you do that, then connecting to the Seerah,

play00:20

connecting to the Sunnah becomes so natural to you.

play00:23

Now, with Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la, to know His names

play00:26

and attributes is to keep on falling in love with Him over,

play00:30

and over, and over again.

play00:32

And that makes it so much easier to abide by His commands

play00:36

and even want to do more of the voluntary deeds

play00:39

that not only increase you in Paradise,

play00:41

but bring you closer to Him,

play00:43

which is greater than anything else Jannah can give you.

play01:00

The scholars agree

play01:01

that seeing Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la is the ultimate joy

play01:06

of the Akhirah.

play01:07

It is the most precious gift that He can give to you

play01:10

because you will not look at anything more beautiful

play01:13

than Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la.

play01:14

You'll not experience anyone more beautiful

play01:17

than Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play01:18

you'll not hear anything more beautiful than

play01:21

when Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la addresses you in Jannah.

play01:23

And in Jannah, there is no fear anymore

play01:26

of Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play01:27

in the sense that you're not scared of Him,

play01:30

you're just in awe of Him and excited to hear Him

play01:33

and meet Him every single time

play01:35

Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la gives you that gift.

play01:37

The Prophet, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, said,

play01:39

"Indeed, the least of the people

play01:42

of Paradise in rank is the one who will look at his gardens,

play01:45

his spouses, his bounties, his servants,

play01:49

and his beds for the distance of a thousand years.

play01:52

And the highest of them,

play01:53

the most noble of them with Allah is the one

play01:56

who will look at the face of Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play01:59

morning and evening."

play02:01

And the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam recited,

play02:03

"Wujuhuyn yawma'idhin naadhira

play02:06

ila rabbiha nadhira"

play02:09

"Some faces on that day shall be so radiant

play02:12

because they will be staring

play02:13

at their Lord Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la."

play02:15

Now I want you to think about this,

play02:16

when Allah says,

play02:17

"Ta'rifu fi wujuhihim nadratun naeem"

play02:19

"That you would know how happy they are

play02:22

when you just look at their faces."

play02:23

Like if you don't see anything else in Jannah,

play02:26

and you're just looking at the other people in Jannah,

play02:28

and the smiles on their faces,

play02:30

you would be able to tell that they must be looking

play02:33

at something so amazing.

play02:35

And that's if they're looking at the food of Jannah,

play02:37

and they're looking at the people of Jannah,

play02:38

and they're looking at the rivers of Jannah,

play02:40

or whatever it may be.

play02:42

Imagine how much Na'eem,

play02:44

how much joy there is on the face of a person

play02:47

who gets to see Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la day and night.

play02:52

And that is for those that reach

play02:54

the highest place of Paradise.

play02:56

And that's not random.

play02:57

Just like we said from the beginning of this,

play03:00

Abu Bakr, radiAllahu Anhu, is not called from all 8 gates

play03:03

because of anything random.

play03:05

He's called from all 8 gates

play03:06

because he embodies all of the qualities of those 8 gates.

play03:10

Likewise, these people that get to see

play03:13

Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la day and night,

play03:15

are people that used to respond to the call

play03:17

of Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la day and night in this dunya.

play03:20

They used to be in seclusion and conversation

play03:23

in Qiyam with Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play03:26

They used to worship Him as if they could see Him,

play03:30

and now they can see Him just as much.

play03:33

And this is Ihsaan, excellence.

play03:35

And the companion said to the Prophet

play03:37

SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,

play03:38

"Ya Rasulullah, but does everybody get to see

play03:41

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in Jannah?

play03:43

Like is it really Jannah if you can't see

play03:45

Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la?

play03:46

And the Prophet, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said,

play03:48

"Verily, you shall see your Lord

play03:51

just as you see the moon when it's most full

play03:54

in the darkest of the night.

play03:55

And you don't have to crowd one another in order to see Him"

play03:59

meaning everyone will be able to see

play04:01

Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la at some point in Jannah,

play04:04

and that is on the day of Jumu'ah, the day of Friday.

play04:07

And the Prophet, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, said

play04:10

that your Lord has singled out a valley in Paradise

play04:13

which has hills of white musk.

play04:15

And on Friday, Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la,

play04:17

in all of His majesty,

play04:19

will address the people of Jannah from His throne.

play04:22

And the prophets are sitting on chairs of light,

play04:25

and then, there are pulpits of light and gold

play04:27

studded with gems.

play04:28

And that is for the Siddiqoon, and the Shuhadah,

play04:31

for the people who are most truthful

play04:33

with Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la,

play04:35

and for the martyrs,

play04:36

so you've got the gathering

play04:38

and you've clearly got these distinctions,

play04:40

the prophets on their chairs of light.

play04:42

The Siddiqoon, the Shuhadah,

play04:43

the people of truth and the martyrs.

play04:46

And then the people of Al Ghuraf,

play04:48

the people of the highest rooms will come out of their rooms

play04:51

and they will sit on the hills

play04:54

and then Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la starts to address us,

play04:57

"Hadha yawmul mazeed"

play04:59

"This is the day of increase."

play05:02

And seeing the face of Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la,

play05:05

is exactly what the increase is.

play05:07

And that's why when Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la says,

play05:09

"La hum ma yashaa'oona fiha wa ladayna mazid"

play05:13

"They will have in Jannah all that they desire

play05:16

and we have more for them."

play05:18

And many of the scholars said

play05:20

this "more for them" is the ability

play05:23

to look at Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la.

play05:25

Because you will not be given anything more beloved to you

play05:28

in Jannah, than the ability to see Allah

play05:30

Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play05:31

And the Prophet, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,

play05:33

once recited the Ayah,

play05:35

"Lilladhina ahsanul husna wa ziyadah"

play05:38

"That for those who put forth excellence,

play05:42

there is an excellent reward and more."

play05:45

And the Sahabah

play05:46

asked the Prophet, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam,

play05:48

"Ya Rasul Allah, what's more?"

play05:50

"Hal jaza'ul ihsaan illa al-ihsan?"

play05:52

Right? Isn't the reward for excellence, excellence?

play05:54

Isn't Jannah all Ihsaan?

play05:57

What is the ziyadah here? What is the more?

play06:00

And the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, said,

play06:02

"Al-nadharu ila wajhi al-Karim"

play06:05

"To gaze at the noble face of Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la"

play06:08

So how does this all play out in Jannah?

play06:11

A voice is going to call out,

play06:12

"Ya Ahlul Jannah",

play06:13

"Oh people of Paradise",

play06:15

Allah will be accepting visits from the people of Paradise.

play06:20

So hurry to visit The Most Merciful.

play06:22

And the people of Paradise will say,

play06:24

"Sam'an wa taa'an"

play06:26

"We hear and we obey", just as they used to in this life.

play06:29

And then they gather there and nobody is left out.

play06:33

And by that time Allah Subh'anahu Wa Ta-A'la

play06:35

would have ordered His throne to be sent in the valley.

play06:39

And then platforms made of gold,

play06:41

and pearl, and silver, and all types of jewels are set

play06:44

for every inhabitants of Paradise.

play06:47

And the least of them,

play06:48

the Prophet, SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said,

play06:50

would sit on a sheet made of pearls,

play06:52

and everyone will think

play06:54

that they have the best seat in the house.

play06:55

Everyone will think

play06:56

that they have the best platform in the gathering.

play06:59

So once everyone is seated in the comfort of his chair,

play07:03

a voice will call out to the crowd,

play07:05

and it will say,

play07:06

Ya ahlal Jannah

play07:08

"O people of Paradise,

play07:10

you now have an appointment with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

play07:13

And His majesty wants to fulfill your reward."

play07:17

And the people of Jannah replied back to the caller,

play07:19

"What is it?

play07:21

Didn't He already brighten our faces with light?

play07:24

Didn't He already make our good deeds heavy on the scale?

play07:27

Didn't He already enter us into Paradise

play07:30

and save us from the fire of hell?"

play07:32

And while the people of Jannah are having this conversation,

play07:35

suddenly, a light radiates upon them,

play07:39

a light that brightens the entire Jannah.

play07:42

And the people of Paradise raise their heads

play07:44

to see what it is.

play07:45

And there is Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

play07:47

in all of His magnificence.

play07:50

And Allah will say to them,

play07:51

Ya ahlal Jannati salaamun alaikum

play07:56

"O people of Paradise, peace be onto you."

play07:59

And all of the people of Paradise will reply

play08:03

with the best greeting they know.

play08:05

Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam

play08:09

Tabarakta ya Dhal-jalali wal- ikram.

play08:12

"O Allah, you are peace and peace comes from you.

play08:16

Blessed are you, Your Majesty,

play08:18

who possesses all glory and honor."

play08:21

And then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala would reveal himself

play08:24

to the people of Paradise and say,

play08:26

aina ibadi alladhina atta ouni bil ghaibi wallam ya raon

play08:31

"Where are my servants who used to worship me

play08:34

even though they couldn't see me?"

play08:37

Hadha yawm ul mazeed, fas alooni

play08:40

"This is the day of increase, ask me anything you want."

play08:45

And then the people of Paradise will reply

play08:47

to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala all at once and they will say,

play08:50

un qadra deena, farda ana

play08:53

"We are pleased, O Allah, so be pleased with us."

play08:57

And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala would say,

play08:59

Ya Ahlal Jannah

play09:00

"O people of Paradise,

play09:02

If I wasn't pleased with you,

play09:04

I wouldn't have allowed you to dwell in my Paradise."

play09:07

Hadha yawm ul mazeed, fas alooni

play09:10

"This is the day of increase, so ask me anything you want."

play09:14

And then the people of Paradise will speak

play09:17

amongst each other and they reply all at once.

play09:21

Aarina wajhak

play09:22

"O Allah, show us Your face

play09:24

nanzor ilaik, so we can stare at you."

play09:26

"O Allah, show us your face so we can stare at you."

play09:31

And then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reveals His face to them.

play09:34

And His light would cover them in such a way

play09:37

that they would forget every pain,

play09:39

every sadness that they ever encountered.

play09:43

And every person would be called forth to have

play09:45

a private conversation with Allah

play09:48

and no one is going to be left out.

play09:51

And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,

play09:53

"O my servant, do you remember that day that you did such,

play09:58

and such a sin in this Dunya?"

play10:00

And the servant will say,

play10:01

"Ya Allah. Didn't you forgive me for that?"

play10:05

And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will say,

play10:07

"Of course I have,

play10:08

And it was with my forgiveness

play10:10

that you reached this level that you are in."

play10:14

And the Prophet SallAllahu 'Alaihi Wasallam

play10:15

taught us to say,

play10:16

Allahumma inni as'aluka lazzatan nazri

play10:20

idha wajhikal kareem, wa shouqa

play10:24

"O Allah, I ask you for the pleasure of staring

play10:27

at your beautiful face and the joy of meeting you."
