🛠️ Fortnite Nerfs Iron Man Combat Kit and Jetpack
In this video, the presenter discusses the recent changes made by Fortnite to the Iron Man combat kit and the War Machine hover Jets jetpack. The Fortnite status update mentioned that the jetpack now has less fuel and the Iron Man combat kit does less damage to players, with no bonus headshot damage and a requirement for more precise aim and closer distance to lock on. Despite these nerfs, the presenter still believes these items are quite good and not ruined as some community members claim. The jetpack's fuel regeneration over time mitigates the nerf, and the Iron Man gloves, although nerfed, remain a challenging item to deal with in the game. The damage was reduced from 30 to 24, the lock-on range from 50m to 40m, and the lock-on retention was reduced by 15%. The presenter suggests that these changes make the item more escapable but still effective, and advises players to be mindful of fuel levels and not to overuse the jetpack.
🎮 Strategy for Dealing with the Nerfed Iron Man Item
The second paragraph focuses on strategies for dealing with the nerfed Iron Man combat kit. The presenter suggests starting fights with an HP advantage and using double mobility items like the Sherry claws for better evasion. They mention that the lock-on range reduction helps in escaping the item's effect, and using a car can reduce the chances of getting caught off guard by the Iron Man item while also conserving jetpack fuel. The presenter concludes that despite the nerfs, the Iron Man item remains a top-tier item in the game that requires respect. They advise players not to underestimate opponents using the Iron Man gloves and to consider using mobility and cars strategically to counter them effectively.

what is Up Guys in today's video I'm
going to be talking about the recent
update or Nerf that fortnite put out to
the Iron Man combat kit and the war
machine hover Jets jetpack as always if
you guys do enjoy this video remember to
give it a like subscribe if you like to
see more and comment down below what you
think of these changes as per usual in
the fortnite community I've seen a lot
of people kind of uh acting like these
items are ruined but I think they're
still quite good what fortnite status
said about the changes is they said
we've made some balance adjust ments in
Battle Royale and zero build war
machines hover Jets now have less Fuel
and boosts when flying and the Iron Man
combat kit now does less damage to
players no longer deals bonus headshot
damage requires more precise aim and
closer distance to lock on so they Nerf
the combat kit in every way pretty much
aside from fire rate I guess or how much
it overheats or how quickly it overheats
but they Nerf the Iron Man combat kit
pretty hard I still think it's pretty
good uh and it's still something that's
difficult to deal with for the jetpack
change it now runs out of fuel faster
like this is noticeable but it's not the
end of the world especially because it's
something that regenerates over time if
jetpacks had like a single use where
like once you ran out of fuel the item
was gone or maybe you had to like bring
it to the gas stations to refuel it I
feel like that would make this Nerf much
more noticeable but it's really just
something you got to be a little bit
more mindful of when you're playing the
game and as long as you don't overuse
the jetpack and then get caught in a
situ situation where you have no fuel I
feel like it's something that's not
really going to bother you too much it's
still a very good item the Iron Man
gloves themselves as far as the changes
go the damage was reduced from 30 to 24
the lock on Range was reduced from 50 m
to 40 m there is now no headshot
multiplier as fortnite status said and
then the lock on retention was reduced
by 15% so I don't really know what this
means but my understanding of this is
like how picky the game is about where
your Crosshair is to actually activate
the lock on you need and they said you
need to be a little more precise when
aiming this is basically what it means
you need to be I guess 15% more On
Target than you previously did to
actually get the lock on effect and
activate the lock on effect I don't
think this is the biggest deal in a lot
of fights because a lot of times what
the Iron Man user wants to do is just
jetpack up and shoot down on you and if
that's happening then it's still
probably going to be pretty easy for
them to try you but in situations where
you're trying to get away from the item
or maybe you're using some ability of
your own that's possibly a situation
where this lock on retention Nerf maybe
will come into play and I feel like
that's the biggest way in which this was
changed it's just like more escapable
than it was before like I said I think
the jetpack is still very important and
very much worth using you just need to
pay a little bit more attention if you
think you're about to get into a fight
don't just full spam your jetp pack if
it's at half fuel maybe kind of take a
little bit of a break and let it regen
you just don't don't really want to be
caught using your jetpack for Mobility
to the point where the fuel is
incredibly low that way you don't have
fuel when a fight breaks out using
double Mobility like the Sherry claws
for example also makes this much easier
to deal with because you kind of have
two Mobility items rather than relying
on just the jetpack and and so you're
going to be using less fuel you know uh
the time where the fuel will go most
quickly is going to be when you're in
the air and boosting while being in the
air the entire time in those situations
it runs out incredibly fast F uh and you
need to be very mindful of those
situations when you're doing it because
if you're running out of fuel and you
don't realize going to be bad I feel
like this in a way it's like an indirect
Nerf to the Iron Man gloves if you're
just using the dashes and you're using
it to travel it still has plenty fuel
but if you're in every fight kind of jet
packing up spamming your dashes and
trying to be annoying to hit while you
just shoot down on people with the
Ironman combat kit and the auto turret
you're going to run out of fuel pretty
quick and that is why I think this
jetpack Nerf was actually a more
targeted Nerf to the Iron Man gloves
rather than a Nerf to the jetpack itself
like the jetpack did get nerfed but like
I feel like this hits the Iron Man play
style more than anything else I think
the gloves are still pretty effective
and it's something you still need to
respect when playing against if you run
into somebody using Iron Man gloves and
you just completely disrespect them
because this item got nerfed and don't
take the fight seriously kind of play it
lazily and just sit out in the open
shoot at them you're going to get melted
pretty quick by the Iron Man glove still
it it's still still a very melty item to
deal with like you can die incredibly
fast to this item it just has more
counterplay now I think um it doesn't
kill as fast but I still think it's a
top tier item in the game right now and
a lot of what I said in yesterday's
video in regards to playing against the
Iron Man combat kit still stands pretty
well like getting caught off guard or
getting third partied by somebody using
these gloves will be a pretty tough
fight and possibly one that sends you
back to the lobby if I know I'm fighting
somebody using the Iron Man gloves I do
not want that fight to start at an HP
deficit for me or neutral HP I want to
start that fight with ar tags and if I
don't get decent damage to open the
fight I just want to reset that fight
and that's another reason why having the
double Mobility is pretty good
um like the Iron Man item is just like
even with the lock on Nerf a bit it's
still an incredibly item for it's still
an incredibly easy item to use and so I
feel like in fights the opponent is
always just going to get there is with
that item you know like the cons the
floor of this item is still pretty high
like I said in yesterday's video and so
going against it on neutral HP you kind
of put yourself in a situation where
like you need to be perfect but if you
you know get an HP advantage on them and
then push and try to take advantage of
that HP Advantage I think that's going
to be the best time uh or like what
results in you having the best success
versus this item so I think the opening
damage tags are still important the lock
on Range going from 40 m or from 50 to
40 m does help when fighting it but I
feel like a lot of the fights where like
they're just kind of jetpacking above
you and shooting down you're always
within 40 m anyways I I feel like it's
not like they made it 20 where they got
to get on you you know so I feel like
people can still play mostly the same
with this item I think the time where
the range of the lock on is most helpful
to you or and the lock on retention
thing is most helpful to you if you're
playing against it is that it kind of
gives you more room to escape like the
fact that it now cuts off at 40 MERS I
feel like makes situations where you can
escape this item a little more plausible
than it was before um and so double
Mobility is my solution to this item
anytime I get into a fight that's not on
good terms for me versus a glove user I
just want to use the Sherry claw jetpack
combo get out of there maybe they chase
and then I can beam them and make it a
more favorable situation or we can reset
the fight and take it later on you just
don't want to be in a deficit versus
this item because it's so consistent
they will just eventually you know beat
you if they do have that damage
Advantage uh and then like I said
yesterday as well cars I also really
like for dealing with this item because
it makes it a little less uh like they
can't hit you with it when you're in the
car they can hit you with the uni beam
but as long as you play it right that's
not that big of a deal if someone tries
to UNI beam me I'm going to get out of
my car and beam them and then that's
going to be my HP advantage and I'm
going to press that fight and you know
get that elimination uh but just like
not getting beamed by the regular
version of it when you're in the car is
quite good I think and this is also nice
because if you're using a car to travel
around it reduces your chances of like
the Iron Man item getting a good engage
on you but it also decreases the chances
of your jetpack running out of fuel in a
bad moment because you're not just
spamming the jetpack to constantly
travel around the map so I found myself
taking advantage of cars more once the
Iron Man item was added I feel like at
the start of the season I didn't really
care about them because the jetpack was
so good but with the spawn rate Nerfs to
the jetpack and the fuel Nerfs feel like
cars present themselves as being like a
little more high value and then
also reduces the chances of just getting
caught off guard by the Iron Man thing
and I feel like that's what the Iron Man
user wants is they just want neutral HP
they jump on you they spam it and then
you're probably back in the lobby but um
that is going to be it for this video
and the changes I I think the changes
were good but the Iron Man item is still
very annoying to deal with and it's
still something that's going to be very
good so if you were upset that they
nerfed it cuz it was like the only way
you were getting wins I think you could
still use it and use it in pretty much
the exact same way you did before and
you're probably going to win a lot of
games doing so just people have more
options when playing against it
especially if they use Mobility uh let
me know what you guys think in the
comments give the video a like if you
enjoyed it subscribe if you would like
to see more and I will see you guys in
the next one thanks for watching
