Transcripts
so I've got this funny round that took
place the other day I'm not showing this
to Flame my teammate or anything but I
think it's a really good teaching moment
for an issue that many many players have
in this round both enemy players took
the hookah teleporter which is
incredible for us because this means
that they have to jump out of hookah and
as you know jumping out of hookah means
that they're not going to be accurate
until they hit the ground jumping out of
hookah is very unfavorable so the cool
thing is all we have to do is hold for
them to jump out and collect our free
kills however you can see me losing my
mind at the sage in front of me who just
keeps peeking out into the open for some
reason they keep peeking angles where
they have to fight before they jump out
of hookah literally all we have to do is
let the round come to us there is no
pressure on us to do anything here had
be on a had be on
a why did they do
that just don't play Don't Peak
them oh God just don't stop
peeking enemy remain
have to jump
out sometimes you're going to have to
make a play to win the round but
sometimes all you have to do is let the
round come to you that is our first rule
of 10 to escape low ELO Let The Game
come to you patience is so important a
valerant and it's something that a
massive percentage of the community just
entirely lacks and letting the game come
to you can apply in these clutch
situations but it also just can apply at
the beginning of a round in general
don't make the mistake of rushing into
every single round like it's a race
sometimes that can work out but honestly
it's kind of like playing the lottery at
the start of each round there are tons
of variables five players on each side
up to four abilities each potential
ultimates and trip wires in various
places you could be running into a five
stack for all you know by slowing things
down and letting the game come to you
you'll gather information passively as
the round progresses this allows you to
make better more informed decisions and
move around the map much more safely
plus the longer a round goes on the more
chances your enemies have to make
mistakes think of it this way each
second players face decisions to Peak to
push to use utility the more decisions
that they make the more likely they are
to mess up so don't force yourself into
an uncomfortable engagement just because
you're too impatient to wait a few
seconds now rule number two is that you
have to play to win this might seem
obvious but many players are up here
making risky decisions just to get a few
more kills or land a cool clip playing
to win sometimes means doing things that
aren't as fun like patiently holding an
angle not peing an enemy or even letting
a potential kill get away the problem is
that many players only play to win
sometimes and not all the the time they
might play strategically in close rounds
but get careless when they have an
advantage remember you can still lose a
5v3 if you make a reckless play and die
early when you're trying to climb you
need to play to win all of the time that
doesn't mean that you can never just
YOLO swing an angle but you absolutely
should not do it with your team is
already winning the round there are
times when playing aggressively is
rewarded and that's when you can have
fun but recognize when playing passively
is the better choice it's about
understanding when you can take risks
and when you need to play safe moving on
to rule number three trust but verify
this this applies to your teammates call
outs and positioning well it's good to
trust your teammates it doesn't always
hurt to double check things yourself if
a teammate calls out they all be take a
quick look at the map count how many
people you actually see 1 2 3 4 where's
the fifth I don't know about you guys
but if I only see four people I'm going
to assume the fifth guy could be lurking
your teammates comms won't always be
ideal and there are going to be things
that you notice that they don't remember
not all players watch these videos like
you do not everyone is as smart as you
you could still trust their comms but
take the time to verify for yourself
when you can this rule is especially
important in postplant situations your
teammates might say that they're holding
something but at a quick glance at the
map you might see that they're not
covering you as well as you think in low
ELO you can't always trust your
teammates have perfect positioning trust
your teammates to an extent but always
verify and adapt your play based on what
you see at the end of the day you have
access to a ridiculous amount of
information on your mini map so don't
rely on your teammates to feed you all
of the info learn to utilize the map as
a tool and you'll never get caught
lacking again rule number four is
straightforward but crucial you have to
have good aim valerant is an FPS game at
the core and even the best strategies
can fall apart if you can't win your
gunfights every radiant player has
insane aim even if they occasionally
with now while valerant has a strong
strategic element and you can carry
yourself pretty far with the game sets
alone at the end of the day it's still
an FPS game even if you have the best
strategy in the world you can still get
one tapped by somebody with better aim
this can happen even when they're
stunned flashed or standing in a Molly
your aim needs to be as good as the
people in your rank if you want to CL
line luckily for you we have crafted an
hourlong aim master class over at
skillcap that is designed to take you
from looking like this to looking like
this in just 90 days our program has
been around since 2020 helping players
climb the ranks for nearly 4 years and
the only reason we're still around is
because our service really does work I
actually designed the aim course myself
and it covers literally everything that
you need to know about getting Godlike
game from crossair placement positioning
movement even how to play off of your
teammates it's got it all and we're so
confident that you'll start climbing
after using our site in fact that we
offer a rank Improvement guarantee
that's right if you don't climb you
don't pay I know it sounds insane but
definitely check it out you're going to
love it more on that at the end of the
video moving on to our fifth rule you
need to stick to the same agents with
over 20 agents of the game switching it
up every game could seriously hold you
back each agent has unique abilities and
play Styles and if you're constantly
learning new ones your aim and
efficiency is going to struggle
massively this doesn't mean that you
need to one trick though instead have a
small pool of agents that you're
comfortable with on each map for example
play SOA on Ascent but maybe switch to
raay on bind it's okay to switch one or
two r and pick a couple of different
agents on these Maps the key is
consistency don't roll the dice on the
agent that you pick every game I'm not
going to have five different agents I
play on a scent I'm just going to stick
to that one agent stick to the same
agents on the same maps and you'll see
Improvement much faster go number six is
be a good teammate valerant is a team
game and being toxic or having a big ego
won't get you very far egotistical
players often times cap out at
ascendants or low Immortal because they
genuinely are okay at the game the
problem is though that they end up
hitting a wall because they don't
realize as good as they are they've
still got a lot to learn if you have a
massive ego and are not fun to play with
it's going to make it much more
difficult to climb out of low ELO being
a good teammate means making good call
outs communicating well and not flaming
your teammates for having a bad game
remember even the best players only win
about 60% of their matches at best get
comfortable with losing gracefully and
focus on yourself rather than blaming
others if you lose just say GG and go
next building good teamwork habits now
will serve you better as you climb the
ranks and potentially play with better
players in the future now our seventh
rule is to exploit weaknesses your
opponents are human and hum have habits
pay attention to how they play and look
for patterns that you can punish for
example if you notice an enemy jet loves
to take aggressive Peaks you could
punish that by double Swinging with a
teammate or holding the angle with an
operator if their Cipher uses the same
trip wire spots every single round
devise a strategy to counter it by
building player profiles and
understanding common agent Tendencies
you can make game-winning plays keep in
mind that many of these Tendencies are
consistent across players of that same
agent as well for instance if the enemy
team has a phoenix be prepared for pop
flashes in common spots like Garden on
bind or aain on a sent the reason that
these players do these things a lot is
because that's what that agent is good
at The More You observe and understand
these agents and what they're good at
the more you can exploit their
weaknesses this will make you much
better at countering different play
Styles moving on to rule number eight
it's simple you need to talk in clutches
while communication is always important
it's absolutely crucial in 3 v3s 2 V2s
and other clutch situations these
moments are when a little bit of
coordination can make all of the
difference even if you don't usually
call strats communicating a clutch is
vital you need to call out your plans
available able utility you have and how
you want to set up crossfires even
simple call outs like play off my
contact swing off my flash or I have a
smoke can dramatically increase your
chances of winning the round in
matchmaking especially in low ELO you
can't expect your teammates to be on the
same page as you without communication
take responsibility for the
communication on your team be the one to
make those crucial call outs if you want
to escape low ELO you need to take the
Reign and be responsible for the game
especially in clutch moments while
coming up with the whole game plan might
be difficult coming up with a strategy
in a 2v2 is not quickly figure out where
your teammate is and how you can play
off of each other our ninth rule is
simple but effective after two losses
take a break long loss streaks can be
devastating to your rank and mentality
if you lose two games in a row it's
often best to step away for a bit this
rule might vary depending on your usual
play session length so if you only play
two to three games in a day you might
want to call it quits after one loss if
you play nine games in a day maybe you
can handle three before tilting the key
is to avoid going on tilt and racking up
unnecessary losses when you're upset or
Tilted queuing up for another game often
just comes from boredom rather than
actually having a good mindset for
playing instead take a break play
something else or find another activity
to cool off there are plenty of great
games out right now maybe try Spectre
divide Rainbow Six Siege or
Counter-Strike having a backup game can
be a great way to reset your mindset
before coming back to Valor and last but
not least rule number 10 is have fun at
the end of the day valerant is a game if
you're getting tilted or angry
especially if you're taking it out on
your teammates honestly just reflect on
what you're really doing remember to get
really good at valerant you need to love
the game if you're constantly getting
frustrated it might be worth taking a
month off or even considering if
valerant is the right game for you and
that's totally fine if it's not there
are plenty of other games out there and
as much as I love valerant I myself have
needed to take a step back for times due
to how brutal this game can actually be
the thing is though you're never going
to get insane a valerant if you don't
love it I have nearly 3,000 hours on the
game and that's because I think it's a
really awesome game I love it for what
makes the game amazing and I even have
learned to love it for its flaws as well
and if you want to climb you really have
to learn to enjoy the process of
improvement celebrate your wins and
learn from your losses positive mindset
will not only make your experience
better but it will also help you improve
faster after all you'll never put
thousands of hours into a game you don't
enjoy all right though guys before we
