Transcripts
if you're trying to decide between the
sound Pete's air 3 Deluxe HS and the
Sound Beats air 4 I would sum up the
sound Pete's air 4 in one phrase
two steps forward one step back let's go
ahead and just give you guys some of the
specs of these two headphones the air 3
Deluxe HS has Bluetooth 5.2 with ldac
5's out five hours of playback with 20
hours of Total battery life over ldac
it's got 14.2 millimeter drivers and it
has in-ear detection the sound Pete's
air 4 have Bluetooth 5.3 with Snapdragon
sound and lossless app decks over
adaptive app decks they also offer
multi-point connectivity and a nice
upgrade over the sound Pete's air
through Deluxe HS is the fact that Sam
Pete's air 4 have six and a half hours
on a single charge and 26 hours of
battery life total now comparing these
two headphones with build quality the
clear winner here is the sound Pete's
air for and honestly I would kind of say
that it's not even close if we look at
the materials the materials of the sound
Pete's air for are better it's a gloss
plastic it feels more premium in the
hand the lid of both of these headphones
snaps open very nicely but the air 4
definitely has a more satisfying click
here I'll click it for you guys
the other thing is just the attention to
detail with the sound Petes for with the
sound Pete's Air Force overall is just a
little bit better there's a nice gold
trim surrounding the charging port the
front of the case has a really cool kind
of diffused indicator light with green
yellow and red to show you guys what
your battery life is
there's a little charge there's a little
uh repair button on the front instead of
the back I prefer the overall size and
shape of the case of the air for even
though it's a little bit bigger and the
headphones themself they're almost
identical but the construction and the
design of the sound Pete's air for just
means that you're gonna have less earwax
buildup and they're going to be easier
to clean overall other than those kind
of minor tweaks the headphones
themselves are almost identical to that
of the sound Pete's air 3 Deluxe and air
three deluxe HS controls controls across
both of these headphones are basically
going to be identical uh the ability to
not remap the controls with the sound
Pete's app is going to be identical uh
the overall
like touch control layout of these two
headphones is nearly identical they're
great touch controls although I wish
sound Petes would more consistently give
us the ability to have rewind sometimes
I want to listen to the same track twice
when I'm in the gym now my quality is
odd but let's go ahead and give you guys
a mic quality comparison right now now
you're hearing me on the sound Pete's
air 4. these are brand new headphones
we're outside right now not much
background noise tell me how I sound now
you guys are hearing me on the sound
Pete's Deluxe HS this is the newer more
updated version with ldac pretty quiet
neighborhood how do I sound in my back
to back testing the air 4 have better
noise suppression which makes them sound
better if there is a lot of background
noise that said the slightly weaker
noise suppression on the Sound Beats air
3 means that if you're in a quieter
environment or in an environment with a
little bit less background noise they
actually sound a little bit better and
they make your voice kind of sound less
compressed and digital it's it's a
really really close comparison but
depending upon the environment that you
take calls in you might have better
performance with the air 4 or a better
performance with the air 3. I understand
that not all of us are taking calls and
busy coffee shops but for people that
need to have a pair of headphones that's
going to have a really consistent mic no
matter what the amount background noise
is I would call the sound Pete's air for
the winner now the next one is sound and
both of them sound really good I would
say that they sound almost identical the
inclusion of aptx lossless versus ldac
is way more complicated than just
talking about codecs
aptx lossless is not supported by most
devices in the United States and the
only devices that support Snapdragon
sound are generally Chinese market
devices or devices coming from Chinese
oems like Asus xiaomi realme redmi Oppo
and OnePlus ldac isn't necessarily the
best Kodak on the market simply because
if you want to get the best performance
out of ldac you have to go into
developer settings and tweak that and up
until a recent update that I had on the
air 3 Deluxe HS my stability of
connection on that really high bit rate
was just not very stable
Kodak talk aside these headphones sound
nearly identical and you shouldn't
really base your purchasing decision on
whether or not uh the app deck's
adaptive versus ldac is going to give
you the better quality sound
transmission rate because honestly these
headphones sound really really similar
even though one of them uses a third a
14.2 millimeter driver in the sound
Pete's air 3 Deluxe HS and air 3 Deluxe
versus the 13 millimeter driver in the
sound Pete's air 4. the tuning of them
is nearly the same you can EQ both of
them you can do a custom like a custom
EQ for your hearing preferences or your
hearing abilities within the sound
Pete's app so it's kind of a draw when
it comes to sound quality in fact that's
kind of how I would rank these
headphones overall I love the fact that
we have sound Pete's giving us the
newest chipped set in their headphones I
think that the Bluetooth 5.3 plus appdx
adaptive plus multi-point connectivity
does make them slightly better to use
than the sound Pete's air 3 Deluxe HS at
the same time I also really enjoyed
using the sound Pete's air 3 Deluxe HS
because they had the in-ear detection
meaning when I took the headphones out
of my ears they automatically pause the
music that's not here with the sound
Pete's air for and in my opinion that's
kind of the only thing that we're
missing because the sound Pete's Air
Force sound really good they perform
really good they have better battery
life than the ldac model and they have a
really good microphone with awesome
background noise suppression and overall
both of these headphones are solid
choices if you have the sound leads air
3 Deluxe or air 3 Deluxe HS definitely
not worthy of an upgrade but if you are
looking at getting the air 3 Deluxe or
air through Deluxe HS and maybe you
didn't purchase them yet or you wanted a
pair of headphones with app decks
instead of ldac for the latency and just
kind of overall user experience of it
the air 4 make an awesome pair of
headphones should I compare the sound
Pete's air 4 versus the sound Pete's air
3 Deluxe with app decks let me know in
the comment section down below and
subscribe for more videos about the
sound Pete's air 4. peace now you guys
are hearing me on the sound Pete's air 4
the newest headphones from soundpiece
I've got some simulated background noise
I think of a moderately busy cafe or
something like that also worth
mentioning I did update the firmware of
these headphones prior to testing so
comment below with how I sound now
you're hearing me on the sound Pete's
air 4.
