these in the center here a lot of people

are asking uh how the Air Pro fors

me or how they going to Fair against the

uh Liberty 4 andc so here we are this is

going to kick off our Gauntlet Series so

ahead and

grab one of each of these out real quick

all right if I can hold on to them I

swear all right we gonna hold them like

this so we can see the stems all right

so as you can see here both of them stem

style I think the uh the Liberty 4 NC's

are just a little longer in the stem uh

two totally different uh styles of stem

there as you can see we go around uh

almost identical molding here when it

goes into the portion that gets into

your ear here uh they're really close in

design uh especially around this side

here whereas the 4 MC's has like a oval

type entry where their speaker is

whereas the as you can see the uh for

the air pro fours have a circular uh

speaker entry there so very nice both of

them very comfortable to wear long

term uh and I haven't had an issue with

either as you can see I'm Still rocking

uh their their stock uh large ear tips

all right so what we're going to do now

is we going to go put those back in so

we'll go we'll do our comparison

sorry uh let me paint the picture for

you like I said we're in our backyard we

got noise we got air conditioners going

off we got traffic going up behind the

house over here I'm sitting at the table

right now um and of course you know we

got traffic from the Turnpike Bridge

back over this way we got a little bit

of sun it's nice ambient uh conditions

here so we what we going to do now is we

have them in Ambient sound mode and for

some reason although I try to connect to

the app it will not show me it will not

connect for some reason so I could show

you guys I had to use it via my tablet

but I did not bring it out with me but

right now I am in noise cancelling mode

I am set to the strongest version

possible uh as far as noise cancelling

goes absm I can hear everything just

fine uh nothing sounds processed I hope

you guys can hear through the microphone

as

well and so what we're going to do now

is we're going to go ahead and put these

guys in noise cancelling mode see what

they

do all right we in normal now things got

a little bit quieter this central air

unit right here got a little bit quieter

I cannot hear the traffic in the street

behind me so let's go into noise

cancelling all right noise cancelling

has been turned on and I have to

admit it really deadened the sound of

the central air unit which is right over

my shoulder here I know you guys can

hear it through the

microphone but I it's not as loud as it

is did it it knocked it down a whole

hell of a lot um which is fantastic I

did uh just for a caveat to let you know

I did switch out and go with the larger

ear tips in these earbuds so that way

I'm L I got the best sale possible for

me as far as the uh Street the noise for

traffic on the street I cannot hear that

at all like it's completely gone the the

strm the noise the traffic on the

turnpike bridge over this way which I I

cannot hear that either all I hear right

now is actually let me take that back my

uh neighbors's central air unit which I

could heard here along with mine I can't

hear that I just hear mine uh but it's

not as loud it's really really not as

loud as it was and it's this is they are

doing a fantastic job and just to let

you guys know I am not listening to any

audio uh this is uh why I'm doing this

test rather this is strictly the A&C

test uh for uh with the software in the

inside the uh headphones themselves or

earbuds themselves so this is a really

really good they doing a really really

good job uh at uh blocking out all kinds

of sound here so very very nice nicely

done so now comes the moment of truth if

if I had to rate these from 1 to 10 one

being the absolute best 10 being uh

complete uh one not sorry back at up one

being complete garbage I don't know why

I said that 10 being the absolute

best which one would I pick I would give

these

guys I I think I would give these guys a

eight I think I would I mean they really

really knocked out the uh the most of

the Ambient sound I'm a little hiss from

the central air unit but everything else

is completely gone so I'm going give

them an eight I feel comfortable giving

them an eight they doing a really really

good job at noise canceling so uh I'm

impressed so this has been thec test for

the air fund Air Pro 4S all right here

we are with the noise cancelling test

for the Liberty 4nc airbuds we are

walking around we've got traffic uh some

good Ambient sound we also got some wind

so we got a good little test bed

here and what we going to do is we going

to go ahead let me go ahead and pull my

phone

out pull the app

up you can see here we are currently in

transparency

mode but we I'm turned on wind noise

reduction to help out so what we're

going to do now is going go ahead and

we're going to flip it into into noise

cancelling mode

all right noise cancelling is officially

turned

on and along with wind noise

reduction and I have to say it got

considerably quiet now we got some more

traffic coming our way let's see what we

got okay pretty good noise cancelling on

these all right I still hear a little

bleed

in uh with the uh you know from the

Ambient sound I as far as the cars go I

cannot hear the wind at all I feel it

blowing but I can't hear

it um again I am using the larger ear

tips I did switch those

out um just so I can make sure I get a

good seal and

fit that one had a pretty big Muffler I

could barely hear that one again very

good noise

cancelling uh for these

ones I I definitely would uh give these

guys an approval and again this is

strictly noise cancelling this has

nothing to do with uh audio just

strictly the strength of thec on the

earbuds and I have to say they're doing

a pretty good

job all right so this is a this has been

thec test for the Liberty 4 NC

earbuds all right back in for the sound

test I did a coin flip off camera and

the with starting obviously with the

Liberty 4N C's we do have ldac turned on

as you can see here in the label I want

to go ahead and show you also here in my

phone ldac is turned on so we're going

to go ahead and party with that now uh

I've got a lot of comments you know

saying why don't I use my own personal

EQ settings when I do these tests and

mainly is because my EQ settings are

different per de device there's never

they're not always the same ones like

some has the v-shaped uh sound signature

that I find that with the EQ that far

gives me the best sound of that some of

them have the slant uh from right to

left slant that I

find uh better in some so uh I'm I'm

just went ahead what I decided to do is

just go ahead and use your default

settings see how they sound in their uh

just their

basic uh Bare Bones uh version yes I do

turn on ldac you know the high-risk

audio yes because they support it so I'm

I'mma give them that but right now I am

using uh signature sound core signature

sound which is b as coaster default as

you're going to get with the uh sound

core uh app actually you know what Let's

do let's do one better we're going to

create

one let's

go and and we're going

to reset all right so now there we go

got the EQ up everything zeroed out

we'll use this one here instead of going

to the preset all right so that's the

one we

have all right so we're going with

that and then we'll make sure we at our

optimal listing level all right we're

there we'll put them in noise cancelling

mode noise canceling has been turned on

there is no other features or anything

else going on so let's go ahead and get

our our music playing or get our music

up here rather should have had I'm I'm

really bad at having this stuff queued

up man I apologize you guys all right so

we GNA start with our first song Let's

that everything's working properly

bright nice and clear here the parsing

of the

lips nice Sound Stage nice and

very I really enjoy this is very nice

clean again I'm living liking the detail

of the

vocalist man these sounds these sound

fantastic right

now again Sound Stage you got the nice

and wide you got the vocal the

background vocalist on both sides so

clean all right ran over a little bit

there but that's okay um again nice

clean clear vocals you can hear the

parsing of the lips the breaths so

you're getting a lot of detail out of uh

the four NC's here really really enjoy

uh that one there I just love the

clarity overall so we're going to go

ahead and get these swapped out we'll

get the air

excuse me Air Pro 4 is up have them run

through the first song all right back in

we got the the air for I don't know

about to call Liberty for is the air for

pro Air Pro 4S are in listen at me all

right uh as far as you can tell we are

in ambient mode so we got them ready uh

ready to rock I want to quickly show you

guys first off let's go down to my EQ

settings we're using my custom zeroed

out EQ which is all zeros as you can see

just like uh I had the custom set on the

Liberty 4 and C's all right so that's

the one we're using there and then let's

go down to Bluetooth quality we are

using ldac just to show you

that and what else oh yes let's go

quickly

over just to let you know that it is

turned on in the

phone all right for these earbuds

ldak is turned on here on the phone as

well so just wanted to give yall that

Clarity and everything Sound Stage but I

have to give the win to the air air pro

4S uh they just got a little louder

naturally than the Liberty 4 NC's but

not uh not by much but I had to give it

to them because they were just a little

bit louder other than that it was a Wash

Great Sound let's go ahead and flip over

to our base test all back in we got the

Liberty 4 NC's in the air ready for the

base test let's go

oh nice Punchy

base oh I like it and it's clean here's

a Basse

drop oh handles it nicely that

Reverb oh handles it nice

nicely you got that 4 second Reverb

good all right and of course the

shimmery sound is nice and crisp

not but

balanced oh this is a great great test

song very I'm loving the base I'm loving

the clean the cleaniness of it if that's

a word the cleanliness I

crisp but kind of is like trying to over

Shadow the trying to overpower the base

on these

ones but the Bas is definitely

powerful base punch let me pull these

out real quick

quick these guys are both coming to play

this was a great head-to head all right

like I said both of them had great punch

uh the revers was night was ear rattling

on both of

them uh however on the air for pros it

seemed like the shimmering sound that's

in there seems like it was trying to

overtake the base so the lack of balance

there was definitely present in that

song um so whereas it was nice and

balanced on the 4 NC's and you got

powerful base not to mention the Reverb

uh was was ear rattling as well so the

winner of this one in my opinion will be

the Liberty 4 NC's I think due to the

balance uh between um the shimmering

sound and the base it was more level

more equal than it was on the uh air for

pros and I think although the base was

Nic and clean here it was clean here as

well but it's a little bit more had a

little bit more punch to it let's get to

our final

we'll see how crisp and clear the

instruments and uh everything comes out

on this one we got the Liberty 4nz is up

fours to it and see how they do all

it's kind of weird but these thing

sounds so clean so

crisp all right man these things sound

really really good it's so crisp High

Keys low keys on the keyboard got a nice

not as much Rumble uh on the low Keys as

I got from the Liberty 4

NC's but man the the crispness the

clarity was definitely there let's go

ahead get get this cleaned up oh

actually wait before we do

that me take these out all

right now both of them did really great

job with this song Clarity was all you

know was really good uh I I give I give

the nod

to the air for pro Air Pro fors rather

for this one they're just a little bit

more cleaner a little bit clearer than

the Liberty 4 NC's it was just so good

listening to him uh the clarity was

topnotch uh not to take anything away

from the forign seed they were a little

warmer when you in comparison but they

still had that Clarity that crispness

and the the especially when it came to

the Le saxophone and the highend keys

you got a little bit because it was a

little warmer sounding in this song that

lowend the base from the low Keys was

was nice and present and I did like that

but I have to give the win uh here to

the uh uh air for Air Pro fors they just

sound a little bit more clearer a little

bit more uh detailed and everything all

right so let's go ahead and wrap this up

pick our

winner this was a good one all right

back in this has been a great opening

episode uh of The Gauntlet series for

the aund air pro

4S and I had to admit uh they both came

to play uh their opponent in this one

the sound core Liberty 4 and C's um

again we went through all the um all the

particulars and everything like that we

went through every song one you know one

by

one and of course on top of that you got

the noise cancelling and everything else

like that all right now as far as noise

as far as uh uh the noise cancelling um

I think I will give that a wash both of

them have great noise cancelling on them

uh I'll give that you know I'll still

give I'll give that wash on both of

those I went out and tested them again

it's been a while for the noise for the

liberty 4nc so I went back out off

camera and compared it to and I give it

a wash as far as the app sound core has

the has the upper hand when it comes to

the actual app hands down all right

now as far as mics I think I'm going

give them uh even another wash on that

as as well they both sound pretty good

um again it's been a while for the

liberty 4nc so I did some testing off

camera with their mics and compareed

them and I give that a wash as well then

of course you know what it is with the

sound allog together so if you add up

all that throw it in blend it in pull it

out which one would I prefer to go I

prefer to go with um if it was just on

the the app and everything I would go

with sound core but however if you

include sound and everything I will have

to choose my winner being the the air

pro fors I think these guys have a

brighter sound

overall uh again cleaner uh detail when

it comes with that brighter natural

volume and then as far as the

instrumentals and vocals and everything

I think the Liberty 4 and C's have their

bases a little bit is more powerful than

the Liberty 4 than the air4 pros but

again that's only half of the equation I

think uh you get a better balance sound

out of the air4 pros again though do not

sleep on the Liberty 4 Pros right now

these are probably uh the best uh air

set of earbuds out uh outside of the um

Fitness earbuds that they have the x20's

um that you can get out there right now

these are really good and like I said I

you know I had to go back and do some

retesting on them for this but man they

they they show improve all the time so

definitely do not sleep on them but I

have to go with the air for pros uh Air

Pro 4S rather for the win here in

episode one so this has been a a great

head-to-head to start the gaunet series
