thanks again to Squarespace for
sponsoring and let's get back to the
video all righty welcome back let's dive
into to Hanging her
bundles hanging her bundles can look
like like anything they can take form in
a ton of different ways and they can be
crafted for just about any purpose as
well they are made and hung above the
areas that are relevant to the working
often hanging herb bundles tie to the
home so it's common to see them above
doorways windows on doors or above
workstations or in specific areas of
working such as the kitchen or the
bathroom as I mentioned earlier bundles
can be crafted for any intention or
purpose but it's very very common to see
them made for protection for Prosperity
or for something like enhanced magic or
power it does depend on where they are
placed first and foremost for their
spell intention of course but because
they are often placed on doorways this
is why we very often see
protection hanging art bundles are also
a very Central aspect to Green Hearth
craft it is a very primary practice in
hearth craft practices so a good one to
have in your back pocket if you are
someone who tends to follow paths that
are herbal and
[Music]
homebased now when it comes to crafting
them it's very very simple and
straightforward the materials you'll
need to craft your own hanging or bundle
uh include natural fiber twine or string
something that can bind it all together
you can also use ribbon with certain
colors if you would prefer personally I
do prefer to use something that is made
of natural fibers so that I can put it
in back into the Earth and it will
decompose fully once I'm am fully done
with the
spell you will also need a handful of
fresh or semi-dried herbs with long
stems you can work with dried herbs if
you only have access to them but I
recommend working with them in addition
to the fresher semi-dried herbs because
it is kind of difficult to tie them into
a nice bundle once they're all the way
dried often they may break and snap and
it just doesn't really work as well but
if you have some fresh or semi-dried
herbs already tied into a bundle you can
tuck the dried herbs into that as
well and of course it's important that
they have long stems so that you can tie
them together so anything that is
powdered or just flower heads or crushed
leaves it's much harder to tie those
down together into s
bundle also in most senses an herb
bundle is tied at one point and so
everything is best if it can attach
there I do occasionally weave in other
herbs and almost sew in other herbs like
um orange slices in the winter so there
are options and of course if you would
prefer to make it into some sort of
design that's very very welcome but
making sure that they all can tie
together is important so really Baseline
all you need twine and handful of herbs
of you're choosing that tie to the
intent you trying to work
with typically I like to work in groups
of three but you can work with as many
as you would like to
I also really enjoy working with
seasonal herbs and I find a hanging herb
bundle is a fantastic means of working
seasonal
magic so once you've gathered your
materials it's time to make your hanging
herb bundle and to do this it is so
simple and so straightforward really all
you do is gather each of your herbs
together into a bundle and tie them off
I usually like to go one by one with
each one imparting my intent into them
making sure that the magic that I wish
to work with them is
known and then I layer them in whatever
way feels right to me often placing the
more Woody herbs at the base of the
stack of them and the softer ones on top
if there's a combination like
that and then I just tie it off as
tightly as I can
as the herbs dry they will shrink down
so it is important that you tie it
really really tightly and really really
well or they may fall out during their
drying process and like I mentioned
earlier if you are working with some
dried herbs as well after you tie it off
you can tuck those into the herbs and
those dried herbs should stay pretty
well as the other herbs
dry once I have it all bound together I
like to another moment imparting my
intent into the whole craft before
taking it and placing it where I wish
for it to work typically I do make these
sore charms or window charms but I do
put them up in other places in my home
as
well her bundles make fantastic seasonal
charms because of their Simplicity
they're so easy to make and because they
dry through the season they kind of work
their magic in very um nice Progressive
Way I have found and so I typically like
to exchange them
seasonally so when a season comes to a
close I take down the previous herb
bundle put it into my compost so it will
go back into the Earth and then I will
go through the process again of making a
new one and placing it where the
previous one
hung herb bundles are really such a
simple but beautiful craft they look
very pleasing they look just like like
you're hanging up some dried herbs so
they are also a fairly discreet form of
magic but their Simplicity and their
beauty does not limit their power I
really do adore them and they're a type
of practice that I turn to all the time
and I truly absolutely adore them for
protective magic I use them most often
for protection magic and they work well
but they're of course not limited and
can be made for any style of magic that
you would like and any intention and
anything and feel free to get creative
with it make them your own tie them to
yourself and your practice in whatever
way feels best to
you so with that thank you so much for
watching if you can and would like to
I'd really appreciate it if you checked
out my patreon there I share art herbal
profiles book recommendations and
monthly workshops it's a ton of fun and
it's what supports this Channel and
everything I create here I also have
another Channel where I share more Vlogs
of my day-to-day life more magic
herbalism all of those good things and
it's a ton of fun if you want to check
