Transcripts
Today, all of us work so hard to keep our skin clear
We spend both time and money to experiment with many new techniques
we try new brands that someone recommends us
we're delighted to see if the word "natural" is written on it
But still, when we look at ourselves in the mirror,
we feel - "I wish my skin didn't look so dull"
If you experience something like this too, then this video is meant for you
In this video, you will learn about 3 skincare remedies
that come directly from Mother Nature
They save both your time and money
and restore the natural glow of your skin
From face cleansers to body washes, face packs to natural spot treatment,
today we'll learn to make all these things at home
And the best part? We'll use ingredients that are already kept in your kitchen
In this video, you'll find something or the other new till the end
But before moving onto the recipes of these 3 natural skincare remedies,
I want to share with you why this video was so important to make
I used to use a lot of soaps, creams, face masks, face wash,
a lot of chemically packed products found in the market too
But as I researched about it more, I found out that using them endangers 3 lives
The first danger is to your skin
If you rub some cream on your hands right now,
your skin will remain oily for the next 30-60 mins
but will it remain oily even after 3-4 hours?
No! So where did all that cream go?
Inside your body
because your skin has millions of tiny pores on it
Whatever you apply on your skin is absorbed by these pores
and directly passed into your bloodstream
Just turn the cream around once and try reading the ingredients list
Palmitic acid
stearic acid,
*struggles to pronounce*
There are so many chemicals added to it that we can't even pronounce
Today, so many studies are showing
that these products are full of a chemical called paraben
which can cause diseases like cancer in our body
We don't want to scare you
We just want you to break free from the trap of these skincare companies
and just remember 1 golden rule
What you can't eat, you can't apply on your skin
Say it with me!
What you can't eat, you can't apply on your skin
The second danger of skin products is to the lives of these innocent animals
Every year, lakhs and lakhs of animals are tortured in the name of animal testing
The fragrance that comes when you open up your products
what do you think? Who is it tested on?
On tiny little rats
Dogs are forcibly made to taste the ingredients in the product
In the name of experiments,
life-threatening chemicals are put in the eyes of rabbits
and the foam in these products often turns dogs blind
Most commercial products are born out of this process
When we see the ads of these products, we think that they're clean and natural
But what's going on behind the scenes? They never bring it out in the open
Think about it once
What involves so much torture to create, can it ever give us beauty?
We've set out to look beautiful by making someone else suffer
It cannot happen!
So the last and the 3rd danger of these products endangers whom? Think about it
The 3rd danger is to Mother Nature
our environment
When you go to the store every month,
bring all the products you need, & dispose these bottles at the end of the month
where do you think these bottles go?
These bottles go to our landfills, our rivers
If it goes to a landfill,
do you know how long it takes for just 1 plastic bottle to be absorbed by the soil?
Around 500 years!
That means all the bottles that you have bought till now
they are still lying somewhere around the Earth
If we dump this plastic into the oceans,
then it goes into the stomach of fishes, whales and turtles
and it starts killing the beautiful marine life in our oceans
So enough is enough! We've had enough of these games of the skincare industry
If you want to save these lives with me instead of ending them,
If you want to walk with Mother Nature instead of standing against it,
then stop buying these products in the market
Switch to Satvic Skincare. And trust me - it's very easy
So what is Satvic Skincare?
It's a skincare that follows the 3 E's
The 1st E - Edible
Because our skin is our second mouth, it's very important to remember this
that what you can eat, you can apply on your skin
2nd E - Ethical,
which means use only those things which don't cause suffering to another being
3rd E - Environmental
Don't use any products that come in a plastic packaging like this
You told us what we can't eat, we can't apply on your skin
We eat dal-rice. How can we apply on our skin?
You can apply it. In fact, it's the best substitute for face wash
To make a face wash substitute, take 1 cup green moong dal
and blend it in the mixture for 1 minute, stopping & starting it periodically
Now just transfer this powder into a glass jar
and keep it in the bathroom close to the sink
Whenever you want to cleanse your face, take some powder in your hands
mix it with some water to make a paste
scrub your face with it and wash it off
After doing this, your skin will become nice and soft
the dullness in your face will disappear and your skin will start glowing
2nd option is besan powder
The moong powder that we recommended is really good for your face
and besan powder is better for your body
Take 1 cup white chickpeas
and grind it as it is
Transfer it into a glass jar
Keep it in your shower area. And while bathing, take some powder, make a paste,
and apply it on your whole body and wash it off
Only after a few days of using it, you'll notice your complexion getting clearer
If your skin is too dry, you can also mix oil instead of water with these powders
If you want to make something fancier,
then you can try the oat rose scrub for that
For that, take 1 cup whole oats, grind it, and to fill it with fragrance,
add 1/2 cup dried rose petals to it
and grind it once again
You can apply it both to your body and face
You can make any powder that you like from these options
You don't need to make it again and again
You can make enough face wash & body wash to last the whole month at once
within 5 mins!
Once you start using them, you may feel - "Oh I'm not using any soap!"
and my skin is much better than before
That's when you'll understand
how these skincare companies have conditioned us since childhood
that we definitely need to use soaps every day
that they should definitely make foam while bathing
But think about it - if you don't believe this, why will you buy their products?
I found a great replacement for my soap, but what do I do with my cream?
Today, markets are filled with face cream, foot cream, hand cream, body cream,
night cream, day cream
we get all kinds of creams!
Did you know when we didn't have these chemically loaded creams,
what did our ancestor use?
Natural oils, sourced straight from Mother Nature
The best is coconut - coconut oil
Whether it's summer or winter,
it keeps our skin hydrated
but if you have dry skin, you can also use sesame oil instead of coconut oil
It's a heavier oil and helps a lot to get rid of dryness
Come, let's move on further
Here's a bonus tip for you -
Natural spot treatment
If you ever have acne, spots, blackheads, or any problems on your skin
the best solution for it is aloe vera gel
Keep an aloe vera plant in your home
Whenever you need it, take one leaf from your plant
Open it this way and press the side with the gel like this
and then apply the side with the gel fully on your face
You have to apply it in the night before you go to sleep
Leave it on your face overnight and wash it off in the morning
When you do it for 3-4 days continuously,
you'll notice that if there any acne or pimple on your face, it'll start disappearing
Another benefit of aloe vera gel is that it works like a natural sunscreen
You can use it instead of applying sunscreen when you go outside
Now you know the substitutes for almost all the main things
soap, face wash, cream, gel
what other substitutes do you want to learn?
Tell us in the comments below
We'll try to find natural substitutes for all of them to bring to you
If you've reached till here in this video,
then we want to give you a challenge
