도망가지 못한 사람들이 있단 말이죠

자기가 그 유대인 학살 직전에

그 일촉즉발의 어떤 상황으로 돌아갈

수 있다면 내가 그 시간 그 공간에

있었을 수 있다면 지침 마다

돌아다니면서 도망치라고 했을 거

잖아요 동네를 돌아다니면서 여러분

빨리 어떻게든 도망을 가시라고

여러분들 생각해 보세요 우리가

한국에서 겪은 수많은 마음아픈 사건들

내가 만약에 그 직전에 그곳에

있었다면 빨리 뭐라도 하시라고 빨리

도망가 시라고 빨리 뭔가 움직이

시라고 할 거 아니에요 우리의 후손이

만약에 지금 우리가 사는 시간과

공간의 올 수 있다면 그 얘기를 하지

않을까 라는 생각이 들게 만들어요

그래서 이 책은 딱 고 지점을 매우

정밀하게 타게팅 하는 그런 책이구요

이 책은 분위기가 많이 달라요 이

책은 좀 훨씬 더 문학적 이고요 훨씬

더 뭐랄까요 좀더 울림을 주는 형식의

그런 책이라고 할 수 있어요 하지만

그 시급함 과 절박한 그 마음에

정도에 있어서는 전혀 어제 뒤쳐지지

않는 그런 책이구요 이 책도

마찬가지로 자신의 가족 자신의 할머니

억 자신의 조상들과 나의 어떤 아이들

여러 세대를 걸쳐서 이 지속 때는

인간의 삶과 나의 후손들이 앞으로

겪게 될 지구에서 일들 이런 것들을

매우

침착하며 서도 굉장히 마음 아프면서도

아주 진진하게 그려내고 있는 이제

그런 책이라고 할 수 있습니다 그래서

제목도 시간과 물에 대하여 라고 되어

있죠 이 책을 비롯해서 이제 가족

이야기와 또 다른 이야기들이 기후변화

책에 많이 담기는 이유는 이 책을 뒤

표지에도 이렇게 쓰여 있는데요 대다수

사람들에게 기후 변화라는 단어는 백색

잡음 으로 흩어져 버린다

기후변화 에 대해 글을 쓰는 유일한

방법은 2주제 너머로 옆으로 아래로

과거와 미래로 가는 것 개인적

이면서도 과학적인 태도로 신화적

언어를 구사하는 것이다 매우 문학적인

접근이 줘 직접적으로 이렇게 타게팅

을 해서 정밀 타격을 하는 책이

있는가 하면 이런 식으로 마음을 아주

깊이 사로 잡는 식으로 쓰는 문화계

언어도 함께 있는 것이죠 그래서

마음에 절박함 같은 것을 느낄 수

있는 주거 4 책도 소개를 드려

봤구요 기후 위기 보다 조금 더 크게

바라 봐서 이 지구를 전체적으로

조망해 보고 최근 이 수십 년 동안

지구에 무슨 일이 벌어져 왔는가를

조망해 보는 책으로 나아가 보자면

호프 사람의 책이 있습니다 랩 걸로

유명한 호프 자러 4 책인데요 나는

풍요로 왔고 지구는 달라졌다는

색이에요 제목이 또 많은 것을 설명

해 주죠

우리가 얼마나 대단한 풍요 안에서

살고 있는지를

종종 잊을 때가 있는데요 물론 이

책에서도 이야기 합니다만 그것은 세계

곳곳의 상황에 따라서 그렇지 않은

것들도 굉장히 많습니다

어쨌든 이 책의 이야기를 하고 있는

것은 기후 자체 집중하는 것보다 좀

더 넓은 것 최근 몇 십 년간 우리가

얼마나 많은 생명을 얼마나 많은

식량을 얼마나 많은 에너지를 우리를

위해서 써 왔는가 그 과정에서 우리가

얼마나 지구를 먹어치워 왔는가 에

대한 그런 그린 동시에 이 풍요의

대해서 다시 한번 생각을 해 보게

되는 그런 책이에요 이 책의 원제

자체가

show 도리어 뭘 이거든요 그러니까

더 우리는 계속 더 를 외치자 나요

더 풍요로워 야 되고 더 잘 살아야

되고 더 큰 것 더 많은거

덜 계속해서 요구하는데 그것에 대한

이야기라는 것이죠

우리가 계속해서 더 더 더 더 더 를

외치는 동안 이 지구에는 어떤 일이

일어나는가를 다시한번 돌아보는 책이고

그것을 굉장히 다양한 부분들을 다

다루고 있어요 어떤 가축을 기르는

1모 물고기를 찾는 이에 대한

이야기가 있는가 하면 뭐 농업에 대한

이야기 또 우리가 사용하는 에너지

석유 뭐 화장 연료에 대한 이야기

이런 것들을 되게 복합적으로

전반적으로 한번 쭉 훑어보는 그런

책이구요 호프 사러 는 이제 과학자

잖아요 그리고 실제로 수업시간에

2지구 물리학을 가르치는 지구

물리학자 또 토양 과학 짜기 때문에

본인이 가르치기 위해서 모았던

자료들이 있단 말이에요 거기서 시작한

책인데 그 자료들 그 숫자들이

말해주는 것 그러니까 이 책에서 후

자란 이런 얘기를 해요 자신은 실제로

일어난 일 에 대해서만 가르친다고

그 숫자들 그 자료들에 대해서

가르친다고

근데 그 자료들이 무엇을 얘기하고

있는가 우리가 점점점 더 어떤 풍요를

원하고 있는가를 다시 한번 생각해보게

하는 그런 책이라고 할 수 있어요

기후 이기라는 게 그 누구도 저도

여러분도 결코 책임을 피해갈 수 없는

어떤 주제이기 때문에 사실은 그것이

아마도 넘치고 쉽게 만들고 직면하게

쉽게 만들고 내가 뭔가 포기해야 될

것 같고 이 풍요롭고 안락한 생활을

조금 불편하게 만들어야 될 것 같고

그래서 보기 싫고 지면 하기 싫고

그럴 수 있잖아요 그 마음도 충분히

이해를 합니다 근데 그럼에도 불구하고

억이 위기를 더 이상 우리가 관심을

가지지 않고 유면 하기에는 너무 너무

많은 시간이 흐른 것 같습니다

저는 우리가 날씨다 에서 되게

통렬하게 하는 이야기가 있는데 이

문자 니 참 아팠어요 저도

저라고 무슨 막 완벽하게 뭐 실천을

하고 있는 것도 아니고 실질적으로

사실 기후변화 대응 이라는 것이

개인을 노력도 중요하지만 어떤

국가적인 대응 공동체 의 대응 국가와

국가 간의 연대 이런 것들이 너무

너무 중요하기 때문에 실질적인 제도와

방향성이 바뀌어야 되는 것이고 그

과정에서도 이렇게 해야 된다 저렇게

해야 된다 논쟁이 너무 많잖아요

그렇다 보니까 개인을 삶의 해서 저도

뭔가 완벽하게 하고 있다고 말하긴

어렵지만 그럼에도 불구하고 제가

기후변화 에 관심을 가지고 뭔가를

하려고 하고 이런 영상을 만들고 하는

것은 이 질문에 답하기 위함입니다

제가 통 11 문장이라고 말씀드렸던

것이 이 문장 인데요

우리도 우리 식대로 그런 질문을

던진다

진주만 비스 존 f 케네디 암살사건

베를린 장벽 붕괴 911 테러 처럼

역사가 우리 눈앞에서 펼쳐지는 듯한

순간들을 돌이켜 볼 때면 반사적으로

다른 이들에게 그 일이 일어났을 때

어디 있었느냐 고 묻는다

그러나 이는 성경의 하느님처럼 진짜로

그들의 몸이 어디 있었는지를 묻는 게

아니다

우리의 입장을 정하기 위해 역사적

순간과 그들의 관계에 대한 더 깊은

무언가를 묻는 것이다

환경 위기는 보편적인 경험이지만

우리가 그것의 일부를 이루고 있는

사건 처럼 느껴지진 않는다 아예

사건으로 느껴지지도 않는다 하지만

미래 세대는 틀림없이 그 날을 돌이켜

보고 우리가 어디 있었는지 궁금해 할

것이다

우리의 이기심은 어디 있었나 위기로

인해 우리는 어떤 결정을 내렸는데 가

기후변화는 인류에게 닥친 가장 큰

위기에 이다 우리가 개인으로 맞는

위기이다

결정을 내릴 때 당신은 어디에

있었는가

이 마지막 문장 결정을 내릴 때

당신은 어디에 있었는가 라는 이 문장

앞에 조금이라도 덜 부끄럽기 위해

4 저는 관심을 가지게 되는 것

같습니다

뭐 그 이유가 어떻든지 간에 나의

역사성에 대한 인식 때문이든 아니면

정말 지구는 괜찮고 문제는 우리 달아

흔히 문제의식 때문이든 어떤 이유

때문이든 지가 4기 위기의 좀 이제

관심을 가지고 다같이 뭔가 좀 생각도

해보고 의견도 모으고 할 수 있는

시기가 되었으면 하는 바람입니다 그런

시기가 되어야 하지 않나 생각하고 요

그와 과정이 쉽진 않겠죠 동생도

않을거고 하지만 아무도 아무것도

논쟁하지 않는 것보다는 그것이다 라고

저는 있습니다 이밖에도 기울이기

관련해서 읽으려고 제가 좀 쌓아놓은
