Andy evaluates Costa, a 4 million pound Aston Villa defender, as a potential transfer target following an injury to Matty Cash, another Villa player. He cautions that fixture runs and managerial decisions can influence a player's value, suggesting that while Costa might be a good short-term option, other factors like the transfer window and potential lineup changes should be considered. what is going on everyone my name is
Andy welcome back to another FPL video
and this one it's transfer tips for game
week 3 so I'm going to talk about some
of the popular moves people are making
in and out of their squad and give you
my opinion about whether they are decent
moves or not if you enjoyed the video
make sure to give it a like and hit that
subscribe button and if you're not sure
about what transfers to make for your
team you can check out the AI suggested
transfers tool over on fantasy football
Hub 50% off at the moment links in the
description below let me show you what
it looks like so you can almost use this
as a second opinion A lot of the time
you're going to know exactly what
transfer you want to make but if you're
not sure you can just go on to the my
team tour and click the AI transfers
button at the top and that will look
through your team and then suggest which
moves to make so for my team it actually
recommends just a bank the free transfer
it doesn't think there's a move that I
can make that is worth spending a
transfer on but it also gives
alternative options as well so Pedro
parro about to play Newcastle away and
Arsenal at home could sell him to Ruben
Diaz with West Ham away brenford at home
but if I don't want to do that but I
want to get another recommended transfer
I can just click on don't sell I want to
keep parrow and then just ask it to
recommend a new one and it might be that
it pops up a few options you're just not
sure about that probably tells you that
your team is in a pretty good place just
because it offers it as an option
doesn't mean you have to do it but like
I said it's almost like having a second
opinion so for this one it's Inu who I
don't think is going to play going
forward or at least is not that likely
to for Seena who could be a good 5.5
option but the recommended for me is to
bank my free transfer which I haven't
done but I do think that actually could
have been a pretty good move for my team
so if you want to get your suggested
transfers just click that link in the
description below there's 50% off at the
moment all right let's start with
Alexander reak he was one of the only
players in preseason that I think most
people accepted was a good option even
if you didn't start with him in your
gameweek one squads most people didn't
think that he was a terrible pick and
yet two game Weeks Later he's got one
assist and nearly 500,000 transfers out
ahead of gameweek three and he and
Newcastle haven't played particularly
well he hasn't had a huge amount of
chances and I can get the frustration to
be honest and I think if I was on wild
card this week I would consider a squad
without eak because long term the
fixtures are going to get a bit tougher
and obviously in game week three you've
got that fixture swing for Aston Villa
so someone like Ole Watkins is popular I
think havitz is a really good pick as
well and I know some people are
obviously coming into game week three
with two free transfers and they're
using eak to fund another move Cole
Palmer extremely popular and I think
wanting him in your team is perfectly
reasonable right so I get some of the
reasons people are selling eak but for
everyone else I don't think there's a
need to sell him like in that first game
against Southampton they play the
majority of it with 10 men it's worth
pointing out that Southampton were
playing pretty well up until the red
card anyway but it doesn't help not
having that extra man on the pitch so
we've only got two games to go off is
that enough to write isak off as a pick
I don't think so we know he's an
incredible player and it can quickly
turn that he starts getting those points
and I think he's got the fixtures to do
it newcast did really well against Spurs
that sent James's part last season Spurs
haven't become an amazingly great
defensive team they will give up chances
that's how they play like lots of us
have got parro but that's because of the
first two fixures in particular and his
attacking potential right so I think
Newcastle score in this game and if
they're going to do that isak's probably
going to be in and around the goals
Wolves Away have just conceded six to
Chelsea I don't think wolves are
necessarily this you know awful
defensive team or anything like that but
they will get chances in that game as
well and then if someone that owns
Robinson that may even play him in
gameweek five against Newcastle I am not
expecting a clean sheet whatsoever Again
part of the reason to IR him is because
of the attacking upside so next three
fixures I think actually look pretty
good you don't necessarily have to hold
him for all of them but I guess and look
this is always going to be the same at
the start of the season the first couple
of games there's just no rush to get rid
of him I get that it's frustrating that
he was biged up so much and he's got the
potential to deliver more and he's only
Come Away with one assist but these
things can quickly change and I he's got
the fixtures to do it so if you're going
for Watkins you're wild carding you're
going for Havoc or you're just using him
to fund another move fair enough but for
most people I would just stick with him
a little bit longer so Kai havit on the
other hand already has a goal and an
assist has gone up from 8 to 8.1 million
and has another nearly 150,000 transfers
in going into gameweek three and I think
the fixture on ahead of Arsenal looks
pretty good man city away in gameweek 5
is going to be tough I wouldn't expect
too much from my attackers in that game
but outside of that Brighton at home
this week Spurs away in four and then in
six and seven it's back-to-back home
games against Leicester and Southampton
so four of the next five are pretty good
for Arsenal attackers one thing to start
thinking about is when you might wild
card and I know it's quite early in the
season but popular Wild Card windows are
going to be gameweek four because of the
international break and then game week
six might be a good time to jump off
Salah and go to Harland for captaincy if
you're on a Salah draft but also you've
got those back-to-back home games for
Arsenal so you're probably going to want
at least a double up maybe even a triple
up so if you know when you're going to w
card that makes your transfers in and
out a little bit easier so for habits
for example if I knew for sure I was
going to Wild Card in six I might just
not bring him in because of that City
away game in five and just hope that he
doesn't do really well in three and four
but if I knew I was going to Wild Card
in game week four for example well
bringing him in for Brighton at home as
a punt before the Wild Card actually
looks pretty good if you're not if you
don't know when you're going to wild
card or you want to save it until much
later I just think he's a really nice
transfer in would I spend a free
transfer to go from eak to havitz right
now probably not because I think isak's
fixures over the next three are good but
in isolation I think havitz is a good
option to bring in and potentially to
put on your wild card as well the other
thing I like and I'm not sure this would
have made a massive difference but it's
worth just pointing out is in the first
couple of games he's played 90 minutes
right and he's played as the nine he
hasn't been playing deep or anything
like that jayus has got an injury so
there's less competition there and intia
looks like he's on the way out of arsal
the de2 not in the forest apparently has
broken down but he looks like he now
could be going to Crystal Palace I'd be
surprised if inet is still at Arsenal by
the end of this window so havit all of a
sudden has much less competition for
that number nine spot and I'm not saying
he would have you know lost his spot to
those players anyway but having that
competition go is very handy for FPL
Arsenal May well bring in another
forward we know that trar can play there
as well but it looks pretty clear at the
time recording at least that havit is
going to be the out and out number nine
for Arsenal for the majority of this
season and that just boosts his appe
appeal even more so decent option you
probably don't need to sell isak to get
him but if you want to bring him in I
like it all right let's talk about Costa
ad delovic now hopefully I've said that
name almost correctly but basically he's
the 4 million pound Defender from Aston
Villa that plays as a right back now
obviously you've got Matty Cash's
competition there but news came out
yesterday that he's going to be out for
about a month and that would probably be
about four to five game weeks and the
fixture run for Aston Villa is about to
get pretty good so Lester away this week
followed by back-to-back home games
against Everton and wolves and then IP
switch away in game week six so if you
could get a 4 million pound Defender for
that run maybe on wild card or as a
transfering to fund another move that
looks pretty good also recently unai Emy
said that that Konza is kind of
primarily going to be a center back and
that Matty cash or I guess NAD delovic
is going to play as the right back now
just one thing to say on that just
because he said it doesn't mean that it
will definitely happen right Nadel kovic
he's new to that Aston Villa team he
hasn't got a huge amount of Premier
League experience it might be that if
things don't go well in the first game
or two that he reverts back to playing
Conor as the right back and then
bringing in someone like Diego Carlos as
the center back instead so I don't think
just because Uno has said that it's a
guarantee that it happens also and I
think this is even more important the
transfer window is still open until
Friday and I would not be surprised if
Mattie cashes out that Villa go and sign
another right back so I don't think NAD
delovic is the perfect pick but perhaps
as a bit of a punt for 4 million he
could be worth looking at I still think
if I was on wild card I'd probably go
for a 4 million Defender that I could be
more confident of will keep starting
later on in the season because it's not
a position you want to be messing around
with and once you've used your wild card
obviously you don't have another one for
quite a while you don't want to be
swapping around four million Defenders
So in theory he could be a really great
option but I'd only go for him if Aston
Villa don't sign another right back
before Friday and even then I think you
do it knowing that he could lose his
place at some point with the fixture run
they've got it might be worth taking
that punt all right let's talk about e
next no returns in the first two game
weeks and that has caused over 400,000
FPL managers to sell him ahead of
gameweek three and I think we have been
a bit unlucky with him even people that
thought he was a terrible pick if
they've watched the highlights or the
Crystal Palace games they would probably
agree for the most part that we should
have had at least one return the goal
was ruled out from the free kick in game
week one which I just don't think I'll
ever forget and then in gameweek two
he's hit the bar from a shot outside the
box he's missed a one-on-one as well I
think he's shown in the first two games
why we picked him in the first place .44
non-penalty expected goals per 90 so far
.11 expected assists if he can keep up
anything close to that over the season
he will be great value for 7 million
considering he's nailed on and he should
take penalties as well so I think
there's every reason to look to keep him
but even the fixture on I don't think
he's that bad Chelsea away okay
they've won really well against walls
and I think they were pretty good
against man city as well but they've
they've conceded chances in both games
so I think there is opportunity there
for Palace even though it's not a great
fixture on paper and then you walk
straight into Leicester at home which is
great even Man United at home in five is
not bad and Everton away in six they've
not started the season great either so
they're not four fixtures that you would
hand pick apart from maybe Leicester I
also don't think it's a bad run I think
e just comes into that that camp of
players where I just don't think there's
ever going to be a rush to sell him I
think most people have probably got a
higher priority move to make if you've
got two fre transfers and nothing else
to do fair enough you could sell him but
I still think he's a great option and
maybe I'll be wrong about that but I
think he's shown enough in the first two
games to Warrant holding on to him I
also think that part of the reason he's
had so many transfers out is because
we're early on in the season there's
lots of stuff going on we're only two
weeks after picking our gameweek one
Squad there's a feeling that you've got
it wrong you've got to move on to the
player that's got the point so far you
know there's a lot of Chaos at the start
of the Season loads of transfers we've
already seen a ton of price drops I
think if this was later on let's say it
was gameweek n and he blanked in seven
and eight and he had those fixture runs
oh sorry that fixture run ahead of him I
think more people would be looking to
keep him because it's early season
there's more of a a feeling that you've
got to get rid of these players that
aren't performing and also to be fair
people still have their wild card right
so you can take more of a risk early on
because you've always got the wild card
to bail you out that's not true later on
in the season so there is a bit of a
difference right and I understand why
people are selling him but I just think
he's still a great price and I think the
next couple of fixtures are still decent
if you're on wild card and you want him
by the way he probably will drop in
price this week so you could sell him
before that happens and then Wild Card
him back in for 6.9 but I think for the
majority it's he's probably worth a keep
like I'm in a different position with my
team where I've got no free transfers so
maybe my thinking would be a little bit
different if I had two but I've not
thought for one second about selling him
I think he's great I think he's still a
good price some people have already seen
enough with yosco vardal nearly 200,000
transfers out ahead of West Ham away in
gameweek three and this is another
player that I don't really understand
why people are selling him if you're on
Wild Card fair enough because they've
got Arsenal at home in five Newcastle
away in six longer term maybe there's
going to be more concern about his
minutes and that's the reason you want
to get rid of him I kind of understand
that if you're selling him to fund
another move that you feel like you've
really got to make okay fair enough for
your team that might work but for
everyone else the next two fixures are
okay West Ham away brenford at home yes
they conceded to whip switch in gameweek
two which is not ideal but they didn't
concede a huge amount of chances right
those things can happen they got a clean
sheet against Chelsea they've got a good
chance in three and four as well I just
don't think and I'm going to say this
about a lot of players I don't think
there's a rush to to sell him and even
if you're in a position like I spoke
about with e where you've got two free
transfers and the rest of your squad is
looking great so you've got the luxury
moveing vardal if the choice is selling
here or rolling to three free transfers
I'm going into gameweek four with three
fre transfers and a lot of flexibility
and a player that should start the next
two right he's played 90 minutes in both
the first two games I'm not sure why
that would change right now there's
always something in the back of my mind
saying Man City players are never nailed
on and I don't think I would say that
about vardal for the rest of the season
but we're only talking about the next
couple of weeks and then you can assess
later on what to do ahead of Arsenal so
City defense great they've not ConEd a
huge amount of chance in the first two
games the next two fixtures are decent
as well I would much rather roll my
transfer also if you're looking at
players in and around the 6 million who
are you bringing in like Arsenal players
fair enough they got Brighton but then
they got Spurs and Man City away so it's
not that much better over the next three
weeks and Liverpool I think they've been
great so far as some of us expected
right because the fixtures are so good
they've also got man united away this
week that is a fixture they could
concede in the time you probably want a
Liverpool Defender is game we four and
five so again you could just delay that
TR answer so look as always I can look
at everyone's teams and and see exactly
why they're they're selling a player
I've only got to talk more broadly and
there might be reasons for you to do it
but for most people that seems like a
pretty easy hold to me so apart from
madai and Smith row who I spoke about in
yesterday's video no player has had more
transfers in so far this week than Danny
Welbeck just over
450,000 and he has started the season
really well goals in both of the first
two games he's on 21 points already but
this is not a play for me that I would
be bringing in I know game weeks four
and five look good ips switch at home
and Forest at home but that's after the
international break this week they've
got Arsenal away arguably the worst
fixure you're going to have all season
the chances for Brighton will be limited
they could score in that game absolutely
they're a great team but it's going to
be hard and Danny W is not going to get
a massive amount of chances in that
match I don't think it's the right call
to bring him in again maybe you're on
wild card maybe you're selling eak to
Welbeck to fund another move or whatever
it might be but your there might be a
reason to do it for most people this is
a pretty easy ignore and I wouldn't be
bringing in any Brighton players this
week also I would be slightly worried
about well Beck's long-term minutes now
scoring a goal in each of the first two
games definitely improves your chances
to keep starting in the future but when
he came off in the 78th minute it was
Xiao Pedro that moved to number nine
when they brought in Rutter and when all
of Brighton signings get up to speed
it's not a guarantee that Welbeck will
even start it's worth saying it's not
even a guarantee for Xiao Pedro either
who I do think is a decent pick as well
but I think it's more likely that Xiao
Pedro keeps starting than Welbeck you've
got Ferguson to add to the mix at some
point in that number nine position who
knows how they're going to line up in
the future I just don't think there's a
rush to bring well back in especially
with the fixure he's got this week like
we could see them line up with matoma
and Mina in the wide positions Rutter is
the 10 and Xiao Pedro is the n Xiao
Pedro is the 10 Ferguson is the n it
could be well back up there but as lots
of stuff going on at Brighton the
transfer window is not even shut yet
they might even bring more players in
and after the international break when
the managers had a bit more time to work
for with some of the players that aren't
going away on International Duty you
just don't know how he's going to line
up from four onwards so there's risk
with buying any Brighton players I would
say right now but if I had to bet money
on who's going to be getting the most
minutes afterwards so from four onwards
out of Xiao Pedro and Welbeck personally
I still believe it's Xiao Pedro plus he
on penalties as well so I I don't like
the the Danny Welbeck transfering this
feels very knee- based off the first two
game weeks and he's just got a terrible
fixture this week so I'm a little bit
surprised that Anthony Gordon's had over
150,000 transfers out already this week
mostly because he's just got a
10-pointer against Bournemouth and point
scored is not necessarily a great
indicator of who's going to score points
in the future but it is what dictates a
lot of transfers early on so usually
people will see 10 points to think well
I've got to keep him for future game
weeks and I'm not even sure where people
are going to with anony Gord I mean I
can look at the the transfers in for
midfielders so madai I guess I guess
it's madai right over 500,000 trans and
just scored a hatrick maybe people are
selling to him Rogers is obviously only
5 million he's very popular this week
Smith row scored as well and he's
cheaper I I I don't see any reason to
sell Gordon I think for 7.5 it's a good
price he always starts his minutes are
great as well and like I've spoken about
with isach the fixtures for Newcastle I
think over the next three are pretty
decent and even if you're someone that
thinks he's got this terrible away
record and so he's not worth keeping for
walls and for he's literally just scored
against Bournemouth right he's shown
that he can do it those kind of Records
about home and away form they're always
going to turn at some point so I really
like Anthony Gordon I said in preseason
you know on the deadline stream that if
I was buying a 7.5 million midfielder
I'd probably go for Gordon over J and
after gameweek one that didn't look like
a great call but actually if you look at
the points so far they're really close
because of how well Gordon did against
bour if he's on 13 and J's on 14 jota
could have probably had another return
against brenford and maybe was a bit
unlucky but I think going forward you
can guarantee Gordon will keep starting
you cannot say that about jotter and I
do like the fixures that Liverpool have
got coming up I just think Gordon's it's
not even about J I just think Gordon's a
really good pick I cannot understand why
people are selling him so quick but I
guess I've said that about every single
player that's being sold so far I do
think that
moving forward we we could see Barnes on
the left and Gordon on the right and
Murphy coming out of the team if
Newcastle don't sign another right
winger before the transfer window shuts
on
Friday but even so I think he's a good
option from that side I don't think it
really diminishes what he can do for FPL
and the fact that he always starts and
he always plays like it's such a big
benefit not having to worry about these
players and when other stuff is going on
around you like there's injuries and
suspensions that you pick up you can
just rely on Gordon to keep playing he's
never going to be one of those players
that you need to rush to to sell so
again broken record alert if the choice
is sell Anthony Gordon or roll a free
transfer I'm taking the free transfer
every time maybe you've got a a player
that you really need to bring in I don't
know I think I think Gordon's great so I
guess we've got to talk about Bruno
Fernandez no returns in the first two
game weeks over 250,000 transfers out
already this week and he's dropped from
8.5 to 8.4 million extremely frustrating
and he broke his promise to fpl managers
after game week one where he missed
those chances against Fulham I think he
put up on Instagram or something like
that sorry FPL managers I will repay you
but he didn't against Brighton in game
week 2 and now he's got Liverpool at
home in game week three I think because
of his price I understand more why
people are selling him versus like a
Gordon or an e because there's so many
cheaper players that are doing well
people just don't want to have that
money locked into Fernandez and they
want to use it to fun moves in defense
or attack wherever it might be so I get
why people are selling him I'm also a
little little bit worried that if he
blanks against Liverpool which is
entirely possible people will continue
selling selling him over the
international break but there's two
weeks off and his price could drop again
so I would not be surprised if by
gameweek four he's 8.4 million but I do
think a little bit like e he's been a
bit unfortunate to not have a single I'm
not saying he should have had like two
goals in the first game and one assist
in the second because of the chances
he's had but one return is not too much
to ask for he had two really good
chances against Fulham and look he's
maybe not the best finisher he's not
like a a Salah or Harland or whoever but
on another day he puts one of them away
and then against Brighton he's put that
chance on a plate for Garo and then xer
he's got in the way another day he has
an assist there and things suddenly look
a little bit better you write off the
fact he's playing Liverpool you look at
Southampton away in game week four I
think actually it's okay to keep but
because he hasn't had those
returns is more difficult for people to
do that so I think if you want to sell
him it's fair enough I'm not looking to
do it but for me it would be for a hit
so it's much more difficult decision to
do I'm really hoping that man united
just get a penalty against Liverpool he
gets his return and then you get to play
him against Southampton I think again
like e he's shown enough in the first
two games why people picked him in the
first place but I do acknowledge that
his price people are finding better ways
to spend that money and I think that's
fine you don't you never have to worry
about him for starts minutes and stuff
like that even though he did come off
before the 80th minute against Brighton
I don't think that's a sign of things to
come so in some ways he's quite nice to
have your team while you can just deal
with other stuff instead but at that
price I'm not I'm not loving it right
now and if I wild card I wouldn't see
myself putting him on there because
another blank against Liverpool it's
another price uh drop and okay
Southampton away is good but it is two
away games you got them and Palace then
Spurs Villa away brenford at home like
it's an okay fixture run I think
Fernandez for the most part is still
fine if you want to sell him yeah fair
enough Gordon I actually like Gordon I
would be buying him right now not
selling him J fair enough but do you
really need him before man united away
possibly not cheaper options probably
madai Smith row is where people are
going I think Fernandez is fine to keep
but I appreciate that most people won't
want to do that if you've enjoyed that
