make sense in 2024 to skip the 16 series

and wait for the 17 even as an apple

Mega fan I've got to break down five

reasons in this video why I am very

compelled to skip the 16 this year for

the first time in a long time and just

wait for the iPhone 17 series I've got

to remove my finger from the buy button

because this I think makes more logical

sense reason number one let's be honest

the iPhone 16 is not that big of an

upgrade all things considered and I feel

like I have to put like legal disclaimer

text at the bottom saying yes I know the

iPhone 16 isn't official just yet it's

all based off of leaks and rumors and

speculation though at this point I will

say historically speaking things are

prettyy much finalized and also this is

just my opinion but even as an apple

Mega fan if I not even look at what

Google's doing with the new pixel 9

series or what Samsung's got with their

latest s20 whatever even if you just

look at the iPhone 15 as of what we know

right now the iPhone 16 isn't

significantly better in any major way

just looking on the outside the design

is basically the same with just one

minor cosmetic change with the camera

orientation on the iPhone 16 and 16 plus

yes you are getting a better processor

you'll be getting uh some slight camera

upgrades on the 16 pro and pro Max some

bigger screens there all that stuff but

generally speaking iPhone 15 iPhone 16

really doesn't move the needle all that

much in terms of must have features

especially when you consider the fact

that you'll have basically access to

every Apple intelligence feature on the

iPhone 15 Pro Series but I'll come back

to that more in just a moment I think a

lot of us Apple Fans myself included are

definitely wanting for the olden days of

bigger year over-year or every other

year upgrades when you went uh from a

four to a five or from the 7 to the 10

these were major upgrades and I think

that if Apple was going to be doing that

this year we were going to be getting

some big technological shift whether it

be uh a better screen technology like

shift from LCD over to OLED or we got

some new biometric technology like from

Touch ID to face ID or if there was some

big feature there that I thought was

super big I would obviously say that you

know caveat there that would probably be

worth upgrading for just that alone but

this year like I mentioned yeah there'll

be apple intelligence stuff that I'm

sure is reserved for the newer phones

and yes some slightly bigger screens and

camera upgrades and a new button or two

but all things considered based off of

everything we know right now the 15

versus the 16 is not really that big of

an upgrade even compared to the 14

series there's not any huge Monumental

Technology Innovation here that's

happening uh that's really I think worth

upgrading to immediately reason number

two to not upgrade to the iPhone 16 is

actually that the iPhone se4 is shaping

up to be pretty good and I know that the

iPhone 16 and the iPhone SE aren't

really in the same category but based

off of all the new leaks and rumors

these phones are a lot closer than

they've ever been before the iPhone sc4

is expected to adopt a more modern

design so it actually be ditching the

home button and the iPhone 8 style

design for something more akin to the

iPhone 14 or the iPhone 15 so that means

a 6.1in OLED display Touch ID is out

face ID is in we'd be getting the action

button we'd be getting a 48 megapixel

camera and also we'd be getting full

support allegedly according to Bloomberg

for Apple intelligence features so if

you want a really good camera

good battery life OLED display you want

Apple intelligence features the iPhone

se4 which allegedly is coming sometime

in the spring of 2025 so couple of

months from now should basically give

you a flagship iPhone experience for

probably around 500 bucks then if you

sort of keep in mind what carriers offer

in terms of discounts and promotions you

can get this phone next to nothing or

maybe like a couple of bucks a month if

you go with one of those promo plans

this is going to be a really great phone

for a really good price the only things

you're really missing are more cameras

you're probably missing um the uh

Dynamic Island which I don't think is

that big of a deal and some other

smaller things but all in all all things

considered if the iPhone sc4 lives up to

the rumors it's going to be a really

good phone and a lot of value for the

dollar reason number three is that the

iPhone 17 air is in the cards and at

play for

2025 now we're hearing right now again

take it with a major grain of salt but

the iPhone 17 series should be pack in

some more significant upgrades in terms

of design and technology and all that

stuff hopefully a smaller Dynamic Island

and better cameras but one of the big

deals for next year is going to be an

iPhone 17 air allegedly this would sit

in between the regular iPhone 17 no plus

just regular iPhone 17 next year and the

iPhone 17 Pro Series sort of like the

iPad Air it's going to give you a

different design and a more premium feel

and feature set but it wouldn't break

the B

or even have all the features that the

pro end phones would have so if you're

sort of in the camp right now that you

like a higher-end iPhone but you don't

want the pro features of the Pro price

tag iPhone 17 air might be exactly what

you're looking for and this phone should

look and feel significantly different um

at least compared to the phones we've

had for the last couple of years so

allegedly a super thin design here maybe

some new camera orientation an upgraded

selfie camera just overall a much more

significant upgrade is coming to the

iPhone in the form of the air uh slated

to launch sometime in 2025 likely the

fall with the iPhone 17 lineup so if

you're looking for a bigger iPhone

upgrade and really something that looks

different this should be it and again

it's not coming this year it's coming

next year moving to raason number four

like I mentioned just a moment ago more

broadly speaking the iPhone 17 is

expected to pack some more major

upgrades and I know again disclaimer

here we sort of hear this every year and

things change but as of right now some

leaks and rumors point to a more

significant design change for the iPhone

17 series some bigger camera upgrades

like a 24 megapixel uh front-facing

camera and also 48 megapixel cameras for

all three of the lenses in the Pro

phones for next year also the dynamic

Island should be shrinking in size or at

least the cutout uh would be shrinking

in size as more components move under

the display and also hopefully this

should be true all phones next year

would have 120 HZ promotion and probably

all always on display Tech as well so no

longer would you be capped at 60 HZ on

the lower-end iPhone 17 and of course

iPhone 17 air would get all those bells

and whistles as well so promotion across

the board probably better battery life

camera technology upgrades all that

stuff should be good and um yeah if

we're sort of looking as to what we know

right now things are a bit more exciting

with the iPhone 17 than what we're

expecting to see in a couple of weeks

now with the iPhone 16 and then reason

number five I recommend not buying the

iPhone 16 is that really if you look at

all the features the iPhone 15 Pro or

Pro Max can do almost everything at a

fraction of the price especially as

Apple super fans probably myself

included look to offload their 15 Pros

when they upgraded the iPhone 16 Pro

equivalent uh just in about a month from

now if we look at like the Apple

intelligence side again I'm sure there's

going to be some exclusive features that

Apple's going to reserve for the newer

phones but generally speaking Apple

intelligence will be fully supported on

the 15 Pro or 15 Pro Mac so if that's

what you care about you can go with a 15

Pro and be super happy also just in

terms of camera technology and screens

you're still going to get a beautiful

OLED display you'll be missing a 48

megapixel ultrawide lens but I don't

think that's a huge deal selfie camera

is expected to stay the same you'd be

missing some slight battery bumps and

maybe a slightly faster processor but I

mean come on I mean the phone that we

have now with the whatever A series chip

is in here these phones are stupid fast

as they are so I don't think that's a

big deal really all things considered I

think that if you have a 15 Pro phone

you really don't need to make the jump

if you look at the data you really don't

need those features All Things

Considered and also if you've got an

older iPhone this might be the perfect

time in about a month to jump into a 15

Pro on the secondhand Market because

chances are you can find one that has

very very minimal damage cuz people

usually um take good care of their

phones in the first year or so and also

you can probably find a pretty good

price as again many are looking to sort

of just get rid of their phone and make

room in their wallet for the new phone

um by getting some money back and maybe

not looking at the best possible deal so

definitely something to consider is

picking up a 15 Pro Used if you want

Apple intelligence features great

display great camera all that stuff

think you're getting 90 to 95% of the

iPhone 16 features without paying iPhone

16 prices so definitely something to

keep in mind those are my reasons and

I'm curious now let's turn the tables to
