The downside to this is that flight tickets and stay will

be very expensive in this season. Second is the summer

season, which is not very popular, which comes in May to

August.

But this is the cheapest time to go to Dubai.

Usually, people don't go out much in Dubai, and there is AC

in all places indoors, so you won't have any such problem

And to go here, you will get flight as well as hotel stays

at a very low price. And finally comes the shoulder season,

which comes between September to October, where the weather

One last thing you have to keep in mind when planning to go

to Dubai, that in the month of Ramzan, it will be better if

you don't book in that month, because a lot of things are

closed during the day, and you are not allowed to eat or

drink outside. So

it will be better if you can skip that month for this.

So now let's talk about flights, and there is a lot of

important information to give here.

Traditionally, it was said that if you go to Sharjah

Airport from India, the flights are very cheap.

It was true at one time, because for Rs.

5,500 to 6,000, you had to take a one-way ticket from India

to Dubai, that is, to Sharjah, for Air Arabia, which is the

local carrier of Sharjah.

But in today's world, this price does not exist.

Wherever you go in that region,

Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Sharjah, the flight prices are mostly

Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000 for one-way.

If you get it for Rs.

8,000 or Rs.

9,000, then it's great, otherwise, you can go for Rs.

Apart from this, there are three major airports where you

can go.

Sharjah, which is at least 20 km from the city center, you

will have to spend a little in a taxi for Rs.

Apart from that, if your trip starts or ends from Abu

Dhabi, then the flight from there to India or the flight

from there to India can be cheaper, by chance. Like I

recently came to India from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai, so I had

Otherwise, if you get your entire trip to Dubai, then you

should book a flight from Dubai Airport.

That would be the best option.

And the flight fare can be anywhere between Rs. 22,000 to

Rs. 24,000 per long trip.

So, you will have to get a visa to go to Dubai.

And the cost of a visa generally varies between Rs.

6,500 to Rs.

If you want to go to Dubai, then you have only one option

for a visa, which is the e-visa option.

So, to apply for an e-visa, the first thing you have to do

is to go to the official government website and process the

information there.

The process is quite complicated because the website is not

user-friendly.

And sometimes, if there is a mistake in the documentation,

then you have to re-upload it.

So, for this, your trip can go into a bit of a problem if

the visa time doesn't come on time.

This is a cheap option, in which you will save almost Rs.

700 to Rs.

But it is also time-consuming because it will take you 3 to

5 days to get your visa.

When you get your visa, you just have to print out the

email and keep the copy in your phone, and you're good to

go.

Now, the second option that I would suggest to you is one

that a lot of Indians use, which is to go through a proper

channel like an agency or an agent.

Here, you will get a lot of options depending on which part

of the country you live in. If you live in a major city,

then you have the option of doing Akbar Travels or Ria

Travels offline.

Or if you want to do it online, then I would suggest you to

do it through the app.

So, do it through Atlas, which is also very good.

All you have to do is take a photo of yourself on the app

as well as put a scan copy of your passport.

And you will get around Rs. 7,100 in fees.

And believe me, I got my visa in 3 hours.

And I took the printout, and that was it.

So, your daily budget in Dubai will look something like

So, as a budget traveler, which most Indians go in this

segment, then you will get 3-star hotels anywhere between

Rs.

You will get less than this, but I will not advise you that.

This is usually breakfast-inclusive, so it is a very good

deal for you if you are traveling with two people. Apart

from this, you will get veg, non-veg, Indian food very

easily wherever you go.

The price for this can be anywhere between Rs.

300 to Rs.

500 per person per meal.

And finally, what you will need for local transportation,

the metro network and bus network are very good.

So, you can assume that you will need Rs.

400 to Rs.

600 per person for local transportation.

So, let's talk about the arrangements for Dubai's currency.

Dubai's currency is called the Dirham.

And usually, its exchange rate is around

Rs. 22.5 to Rs.

23 Indian Rupees, which is the current exchange rate. So,

if you are going to Dubai, then you can exchange Dirhams

from anywhere in India in exchange for Rupees.

It is very easily available and you can carry it as you

wish. Apart from this, if you go to all the places in

Dubai, then you can easily swipe your credit card, debit

card, and forex card without any charges.

You will get the same charges as you did with your bank,

which is generally 1 to 2% according to the markup fees.

And as far as withdrawing cash from the ATM is concerned,

then a very good news is that you don't have to pay any ATM

withdrawal charges in Dubai.

So, if your bank is charging you, then you will have to pay

the withdrawal charges.

Otherwise, if you top up your forex card, which has zero

markup and zero withdrawal fees, and you go to cash

withdrawals, then you won't have to pay any charges.

Alright, so now let's talk about where you should book your

Dubai stays and what are the options you have with price

points.

So, where you live in Dubai decides the major factors where

you can increase or decrease your budget.

Because if you are living in a downtown area or in JBR,

which is right in the middle of the city center, it will be

very expensive and it is also very upmarket.

So, if your budget is such that you can spend more than Rs.

10,000 per night for your hotel rooms, then there are two

major neighborhoods,

JBR as well as downtown.

But since a lot of people travel on a budget, then I would

suggest that you book your stays in Dehra or Burr Dubai

neighborhoods.

Dehra and Burr Dubai connectivity-wise is very good and it

is also a majorly Indian neighborhood.

So, you will get a lot of options to eat there and it will

also be very cheap.

You can get a lot of 3-star and 4-star hotels at a very

good price point.

Like the property I stayed in Dehra, the Pearl Hotel, I had

to pay a tariff of Rs.

3000 per night minus breakfast.

Apart from this, if you are going solo traveller, then

there is some good news and bad news as well because you

will get a lot of hostels in Dubai.

Hostel culture is not a big deal there because you don't

get a lot of backpacking, but that doesn't mean you won't

get a hostel.

You will get hostels in good neighborhoods, but the prices

go to be anywhere between

Rs. 1800 to Rs. 2500 per night.

You will also see cheap hostels, but I would suggest you to

avoid them because the situation there is that a lot of

people who come there to find a job on a tourist visa, the

workers who come, they usually stay at places like Rs.

700 to Rs.

600 per night which will become a little uncomfortable for

you and you may have a safety issue somewhere.

Now, your luggage can also get lost.

So, while planning a trip to Dubai, people always have this

confusion whether to do 3 nights 4 days or 4 nights 5 days.

How many days do you need for Abu Dhabi?

So, from my experience, I can tell you that if you don't

want to cover Dubai properly, then 4 nights 5 days is more

than enough.

And if you want to add Abu Dhabi, then you can do a single

day trip or you can add 2 days there.

But one more big issue that was arising in my planning for

this trip was that there are so many tourist locations in

Dubai and Abu Dhabi that where to go, when to go, what are

the prices, what is the timing,

I was very overwhelmed and confused in this.

So, I called my friends and one of them suggested me an app
