Transcripts
hello everyone and welcome back so today
we are going downtown we're going to do
some uh grocery shopping we're going to
go to the big Market uh because Market
day here is on a Wednesday but we slept
in the other day so we missed it so the
first thing we're going to do is we're
going to get some gasoline because
otherwise we will have no uh we'll have
no fuel to get us to alibon which is
like a 45 minute drive from our house
well 30 to 40 minutes so that's what
we're going to do today and hopefully
we'll get some food when we're there I
mean we'll eat something because I am
hungry are you hungry yeah yeah
like 8 a.m. we woke up and we so
hungry yeah we're very hungry we haven't
eaten anything so that's so not much
today just fishes and veggies and other
stuff
okay okay so good thing there's a near
gasing station to our house yeah yeah so
bumpy bumpy
look at the weather today it's so
nice yeah so here in the Philippines
there's guys or
gasoline uh 2:50
yeah so here in the Philippines uh it's
very different from the UK here people
fill up your gasoline for you in your
car so you don't have to get out they
just you tell them how much you want and
what you want and then they do it for
you so it's quite nice that way
yeah STS although sometimes they mishar
my pronunciation so I said 250 but one
time they s before I said 350 okay there
we are 350 okay so it's done yeah it's
done yeah
we didn't Vlog for a while for how many
more than like almost two months it's
been like five or six weeks actually
yeah no almost two months because we
were so busy guys the whole month of
July we are so so so busy and to be
honest it was nice just having a we
break from vlogging as well you know it
was nice not to have to get out the
GoPro all the time so it's uh it's okay
I'm sure nobody nobody's really missed
us I know plenty of over Vlogs I'm sure
people for watching yeah we're not so
popular and
we're oh yeah but that's okay and school
is back here in the Philippines during
daytime it's so quiet in the house it
really is yeah so quiet like all of our
students and us we have three students
there so is big big yeah Isaiah and big
big and Nathan Nathan transferred to
either yeah so during daytime it was so
quiet sometimes just me and de because
Papa's working n's away yeah I'm not
sure how to c when it's just me and Tina
guys you know it's uh she makes it not
like difficult for me I'm joking I'm
joking okay so we'll see you again later
see you later
guys so what what have you got there
Tina of course as
usual
rice yeah show them the rice
the rice rice
baby actually where are we in
Jollibee we're in Jollibee
guys been a while it has been a while
always in mcal but we've noticed that
Jollibee here is still popular compared
to McDonald's there's always more people
in jollybee isn't there compared to
McDonald's so yeah but
guys Tina has her food but I don't have
anything because I ordered I ordered the
used a cream chicken sandwich didn't I
and it's not yet uh it's not yet ready
and yeah I also have this chicken s yeah
but mine's a bigger one so it takes
longer to cook apparently so I have to
wait I'm always waiting guys I'm always
waiting tea gets her food first then I
have to wait for like another 15 to 20
minutes but I also got iced tea and you
got c yeah
well guys I got Mr fre chicken sandwich
so let's open it up I think this is
quite a new uh this is a new ingredient
from jollybee a new food from Jollibee
so let's have a look hey it's okay okay
so let's let's see what's this on oh
it's just it's just
chicken they always make it look like
this thing is going to be the best thing
since sliced bread but it's quite small
so but I hope it tastes nice that's the
main thing so let's see well the chicken
is Big the chicken is Big look at
that so jolly be test T Test and this is
my first time trying it so let's
see yeah very
hot
very a tip for you guys when you get
your Supreme chicken is to blow it first
of all before you bite into it that's a
good tip something like I would like to
share with you there let's let's
see with bread with bread yeah with
bread that's quite nice actually guys
it's very good very well cooked uh
chicken just the way I like it so have a
look at that there you go and it's so
it's still hot as well which is good but
obviously you don't want to too hot cuz
it'll burn your
mou B bread oh
yeah the bread is the bread is sweet
just like all bread in the
Philippines Tina why is this spicy
chicken it's nice it is scrunchy and it
is spicy of
course very
good so as you can see from the receipt
our jollybee mail came to 436 pesos
which is equivalent to just over 7
us well guys that is the uh that is me
finished the uh the chicken sandwich
this is the cream chicken sandwich and I
really recommend it I give it 10 out of
10 so it's very very tasty and very
filling as well so if you come to
jollybee I suggest I make a
recommendation that you order the the
new supreme chicken sandwich and I'm
going to drink some iced
tea very nice how was your
food it's so yummy have you been left
feeling Satisfied by it yeah yes as long
as I'm I am
satisfied yes I think we''ve been hope
that feel satisfied after this lovely
jollybee meal so it was good it was nice
so down to is so busy today right right
right it is very busy as always yeah you
can can't just park on the road a lot of
vehicles parking so after we finished in
jollybee we did we bought some groceries
in the prince Supermarket but we didn't
actually Vlog that because we've already
vlogged that before and just wanted to
hurry up but it was quite a slow process
there cuz there was only one on counter
so that was a bit slow and then I had to
go to an ATM machine because obviously
when you're going to the traditional
Philippine Market you cannot withdraw
you cannot pay by c h you cannot pay by
card so uh you have to pay my cash pay
my cash and the ATM machine was busy
obviously so but here we are we're
arriving now been down this narrow road
and over there the market is under
reconstruction so under renovation so
there's a nice new building but this
Market here that we're going to the
market day here is Sunday isn't it so
today is not the proper Market day but
they have they have so busy yeah it's
not it won't be so busy today and you
just have to but there are some there
are a lot of products still on sale yeah
and you just have to be careful driving
over into here because the road is not
concrete it's very
bumpy and you just don't think the GoPro
is not so I know it's not so
shaky yeah so as you can see like
there's all sorts of stalls outside that
are empty today but if you come so we
are at the back part we always Park our
car yeah which is yeah this is ler house
and it's we are we can easily get into
the
market way we come here when it's not so
busy and so it's easy enough to get
parked isn't it but yeah so here we
are Tina startled Tina startled the dog
and uh start yeah uh what what what
startled you because
I uh so here we are it might be might be
a bit dark guys but uh this is
it so there's lots of uh meat and
vegetables and all sorts of food
products that you can buy here it's a
typical uh Filipino Marketplace so this
cover the new
you just have to be careful cuz the path
here it's so sppy there's water
everywhere but over there you've got all
the
fish oh
yeah so we're going to have a look for
some vegetables aren't we always buy
shrimp always buy shrimp yeah to yeah so
we just have a look
guys we cannot forget
no we have been here a few times and we
do find that here it's actually the
market is slightly cheaper compared to
up in in
saario because obviously cost of
transporting foods and different things
and there's a wide variety of food here
isn't there you get more more more
options here compared to where we live
which is obvious cuz it's one of the
biggest
markets but
tatina what are you looking
for eggplant sounds
good oh
here oh there
no so just looking for some eggplants
some uh Talon you want some corn corn
yeah
yeah
here we're just buying some
[Music]
corn we just sorting through the egg PL
yes how many are we you B uh one
[Music]
where's Tina taking this
no onions yeah
yeah let's see get some
money get some money out
guys it's nice here cuz there's a lot of
things in the Philippines where you know
it's mainly cash hasn't gone full
cashless unlike other places in
particularly in the west where they're
trying to force people to pay with uh
card rather than cash here you can just
pay with cash anywhere which is
good yes will buy
okay it's nice to have a stock
of yeah it's nice to have a
stock she's a more organized person she
knows what we need and when we need it
so let her manage outside of
things she will buy a lot of garlic a
lot of garlic we'll make chili garlic
are you trying to scare away the
vampires actually they work on geckos
don't they they scare geckos oh yeah
this is what we used last time
yeah yeah we had a gecko in our house
over a year ago and we used garlic to
scare it away they don't like garlic
are we going to buy some fish as well
or little check little check
yeah and then what else don't
know what else do we need
guys leave a comment below what do you
think we should buy look so we're just
getting our uh our food organized what
is
that you put it in the oil and the uh
boiling oil the it's like chichon
okay what do you call it it's like chips
chips very
good I'll try that
sometime so there's our big bag of food
[Applause]
there I only have
[Music]
1,000 650 peses that's pretty
good so will just buy small stocks today
because we'll just go to the local
market yeah or then Village Market yeah
well guys I've got my baby
here I have to hold the have to carry
the
groceries and hold the GoPro with one
hand so
I think we're going to have a look at
the uh the fish now and see what kind of
fish
fun
mag Ka k
[Laughter]
H what's
this
Pasay shrimp
pan yeah it's
nice are you buying bang as
well
yeah
yeahia yeah sure
yeah and there's lots of different Meats
over there as well so you've got the uh
the meat and the fish in one section and
then you've got the the vegetables in
the the other section of the market
that's all right and also when we were
here before they they they debone the
fish for us so we didn't have to worry
about the B when we took the fish
home isn't that right they they can de
the fish here yeah not 300 300 300 oh
500 500 that's not bad that's okay
that's okay
L is beautiful beautiful
what's up
all right so where we
going okay so we finished with our uh
fine fish and vegetables and oh and now
we're going to buy some eggs or
itlog and uh the vendors or the sellers
were enjoying me uh speaking uh their
language with them it's always it always
something to break the
ice put in the car first yeah uh hold
this
I'll you put this
huh put this in the car guys and then
back
inside it just stinks because of the
pigs poop oh yeah there's a bad smell
because of the the poop from the
pigs uh just here
L okay there we
are yeah yeah yeah sure don't forget
theoo Aro they enjoyed being in man's
ano H my H going on yeah that's what
they always enjoy yeah people like it
when you speak with language yeah they
laugh they enjoy the company
yeah fit
oh it's going to
leak it's just all right are you just
tying it
first okay okay so so we just buy eggs
eggs EG excellent
exciting you'll just buy 30 30 eggs
what's the number for
30 so on a Sunday I'm assuming all this
would be uh busy as well all these
stores yeah because vendors from
different
yeah that's when it's most
busy you just to watch where you're
walking oh there's a dog a
do
oh so this is some more quiet area here
but uh we will B it
log you can get there's the eggs
there which one are we buying the extra
large
yeah extra large it log bu F and that
will keep us going for maybe a few weeks
so so that us finished at the market
then huh yeah yeah we're now going to
the we're going to
Watson's our favorite place they know us
there like last time we were there I
parked outside and Tina went in and
because we're there so often they
recognize us
and they asked her where's your husband
and they she said oh he's
outside so they know us there cuz we're
familiar fa is that's where we buy our
our
soap soap and
other beauty products beauty products I
have to make myself beautiful guys you
know that's I'm joking I'm oh yeah it's
drunk have to
S you're struggling with the smell of
the pigs I they just
this behind there or maybe in the back
there
[Music]
yeah our eggs here
yeah the eggs have a
cushion are they going to be safe there
yeah you
sure I hope you're right because we
don't want that scrambled day ended up
in over our car so we're in wat now guys
and we're going to buy some soap cuz
they always have offers on here don't
they
so always get our offers from here buy
one take one 334
pesos so that's our favorite uh
[Music]

out as well so that was good
it's it's just nice that if you are nice
to people you also I know sa kindness
yeah I mean that's the Philippines for
you if I was back home in the UK and I
was trying to reverse into parking space
and there be nobody who would help me to
signal that you're okay to reverse in
there's no there's nobody blocking you
so you to me back home you have to be
very careful but here people are you do
have to be careful but people are there
to help people like to help
yeah even if you don't even when you
don't ask them
yeah it it's just funny and what s where

already so we always buy um the fal wash
that we use yeah there and it's nice it
doesn't dry
skin yeah I don't know if you can see it
I find that I'm not quite disciplined
when using the facial wash so I'm trying
to be more disciplined with it because
my skin does get dry yeah and his skin
is dry especially his eyebrows here so
dry because he's ibr so bushy yeah so
yeah he always buying M and if you say
uh you have dry skin what's what can you
use for dry skin or oily skin or
whatever you have sensitive skin they
will recommend you something that's um
