book we have a lot of journals doing so

well and here is another um prayer

journal for teen girls with 41 r ings

that's amazing and it was published

about some months ago and it's making

about um

$239 so this keyword module gives you an

idea of books that are selling so that

you too can start making money creating

books in The Niche so I will save it to

my favorites for easy access and there

we go um the 5 minutes gratitude and

want to settle for this it does have

about uh 34 ratings which is really

great for a book that is newly published

and it's making about uh

that we have figured out which books are

selling the next step that we need to do

is um check out the competition in order

to start getting sales on books you are

going to come over to Amazon and over

here I am going to first search for um

gratitude and prayer Journal if you look

over that about uh 2,000 results this is

not a bad Niche but we can narrow it

down for better results and I am going

to do a gratitude and prayer journal for

women as you can see this has about a

thousand results it's a good Market to

break into if there are more than a

thousand results this implies it's

overcrowded already and our chances are

lower so as a beginner in Amazon KDP um

you want to aim for a keyword with less

than 1,000 search results and this is

how your book gets visible to potential

buyers and these are the books ranking

uh for these keywords and what I will

typically do is analyze any of these

books I find interesting essentially

looking through their interior pages to

get a view of what it looks like so

there is another step before before we

start creating it that you do not want

to skip we want to check the demand to

make sure that there is a high demand

for this book so now we're going to go

back to book bolt and we're going to

look uh to see how many people are

actually searching for this topic right

now so we're going to click on the

keywords and hit the search button and

we are going to um type in gratitude and

prayer journal for women over here we

have 2024 gratitude journal with about 3

,000 monthly searches 2024 gratitude

journal for women 365 prayer journal for

women with about

6,459 searches all of these are um

related keywords that you can use in the

Amazon section while publishing your

book and I am going to show you exactly

how to do it but you need to ensure the

keyword aren't competitive this is a

good keyword 5 minute gratitude journal

with about 18K monthly search volume so

so we want to check how competitive this

keyword is so head over to Amazon and

type in five meain gratitude Journal as

you can see this is a very good keyword

with a low competition score and these

are the books ranking for this keyword

so this is the kind of keyword you would

use so that your book gets visible to

potential buyers so what you are going

to do now is uh back to book bolt and

use this love icon to add the keyword as

a favorite for easy access access

alternatively you can save all of your

preferred keywords on a notepad so I

will search for another keyword I think

the 2024 gratitude journal for women

isn't bad so I will head over to Amazon

to check it and there you go this is a

good keyword too so I am going to add it

to my favorites so this is how you get

to uh search for the right keyword for

your book so you want to stay with me to

see exactly how to use these keywords on

Amazon so let's start creating this book

and to begin we are going to go up here

um where it says research we're going to

click on it and we're going to select

create and then we are going to click on

book bolt studio so book bolt is

actually software that is integrated

with Amazon KDP and it will help you uh

select the right book templates for your

products so when we come here we are

going to be making a paperback book we

have the paperback cover interior or the

hard cover if you want to keep your cost

low for a higher royalty then paperback

is better and because we want to make

more money we'll go with paperback but

of course you can do the hard cover too

um for the project name you can just

name it whatever you want for the trim

size uh what I usually do is look into

the books I want to model I mean my

competitor's books I take their sizes

and their pages so for us um it's 8.5 by

11 for the interior and paper type uh

we'll keep it at black and white

interior because we don't need color

pages in our interior however it's cost

effective which is more money for us and

then as far as the page counts the

things I've been seeing that's been

doing well is uh anywhere from around

100 pages and above I'm just going to go

with 80 Pages for this tutorial and

click on the create button so the first

thing you'll work on is your cover your

cover page is going to be important for

uh a attracting people and setting

yourself apart from the competition but

you will need to check out your

competitor's book cover to see what is

working it would be a floral or maybe

like a minimalist kind of design and all

of that so I'm just going to move this

out of the way by um hiding the cover

template using this feature now begin

designing our book cover we are going to

go over here to this picture button we

would use pixabay I Want My Cover Book

design to be some something like a

floral design or patterns so we'll type

in flowers floral pattern and all of

these keywords we'll just scroll through

and see what uh different types of stuff

they have in

here these are great designs for our

journal and I'm just going to randomly

uh pick a design so here is our design I

am going to stretch this across to fit

in feel free to use all of these

features to bring your design to life so

I will add it shape using this shape

icons then I will change this color to a

matching color and that's it we don't

really have to do too much else other

than add a title subtitle and pen name

and to do that I'm going to come up here

to this text and then I'll select

heading and I'm going to type in

gratitude and prayer journal for women I

am going to change the font style to um

cookie but feel free to play around with

the fonts until you find something you

like so I will get a little bit cre

creative with my title and I think this

is good I will add my subtitle and pen

name you should always add a pen name so

this is how you get to look like a

professional plus your pen name

distinguishes you I'm going to change

the text color not all but some simply

come over to the color box to choose

your preferred color it's that easy just

to be a little creative uh a little

butterfly icon will be perfect I'm just

going to drag it and make it fit I

always like my cover book to have a very

sharp sharp color so I will use the

effects feature to increase the color in

the image you can always play around

with this feature until you are

satisfied with the result and if you ask

me I think our Cover Book looks good

right and we are good to go now the next

is working on our interior we're going

to come over here and select page one I

will go ahead and add the same pattern

used for our Cover Book then stretch it

over to fit remember we chose the white

and black interior right so I will use

the out line feature and there you go

the next thing is to use the um opacity

feature to reduce the brightness to like

um 2% it's hard to see yet noticeable

right perfect I would want the rest of

the pages to have this image so I am

just going to um right click on this

page then click on clone this page I

will use the select all button to make

it even faster and there you have it

pretty simple because um we are making a

j you have to be creative so I think I

want to have the um this book Belongs to

You page so I want a picture of a woman

praying kind of and there we have it I

will use the outline feature but this

time I will grayscale the image and

there you go I'll just add some text to

it and I'm going to add a line and then

we're done with that page and I usually

skip page two because that's going to be

the back of the this belongs to page I

hope you get the idea and we'll actually

start working um on page three and I

will click on this icon it's the page

template icon and you will be brought up

to this interface where you get to see

um a plethora of templates to work with

since we are creating the Gratitude and

prayer Journal each template will be

required following aligned template for

extra writing space so here is the

concept of my interior um since the odd

page is the font then the even page is

the back of the odd page my odd page and

my even page will be a matching template

however you can arrange your template or

interior in your style so I am just

going to choose the pages to have the

Gratitude template once I am done I will

click on next then submit book bolt has

already simplified the interior book

creation so you don't have to complicate

things the next page I will work on is

um page five but this time we will use a

lined template as stated earlier so

we'll do the wide Journal then um go

through the same process by choosing the

pages we want the template on and that's

it we are almost done with our interior
