hello everyone welcome to today's video
I don't know about you but when I find
out that one of the top makeup wizards
of all time has shared a makeup tip or a
hack to make you look his quote 20 years
younger my ears immediately perk up my
eyes open wide and I cannot wait to hear
what it is and a part of me is thinking
well maybe it's something I've already
seen before but no this was something
that I had never seen before and I think
I've already forgotten to say who the
makeup artist is Scott Barnes the Scott
Barnes if you are not familiar with
Scott he has been a celebrity makeup
artist for 25 plus years back in the
late '90s early 2000s the JLo glow was
all the rage people could not get enough
of JLo's glowy look on her body
her face her makeup was just always
Perfection and The Man Behind that look
was Scott Barnes he actually used to
tell magazines that in order to get that
JLo glow he would combine different
moisturizers and Shimmer products to
create the most perfect body glow
product and then because the demand was
so high a couple of years later he came
out with body bling which you can still
purchase today on his website so that's
a little background on Scott for those
of you who might not know who he is
anyone who is a makeup artist who was a
makeup artist or who simply loves loves
loves makeup knows who Scott Barnes is
and will try anything any tip or
technique he recommends so now we're
going to watch the video together and
then we'll move into my demo and results
of his latest under eye concealer hack
using aquafor
all right Scott Barnes Pro tip here with
aquafor hat I'm going to take 20 years
off your face with aquafor check this
out yeah it's magic anyway I use a
little bit on the neck and I use the lip
balm underneath the eyes and this makes
your concealer stay 10 times longer it
doesn't get all creased up and crazy
believe it or not and it doesn't break
down the makeup I know I figured this
out after doing hours and hours of photo
shoots and movies and music videos how
do I keep the concealer from not caking
up underneath the eyes after such long
wear and this was it Aqua 4 I've got to
say I am just as excited if not more
excited than you might be to see if this
hack really works I think you'd agree
that it is quite rare to see a new hack
on social media I think I can speak for
a lot of Beauty YouTube content creators
when I say that sometimes we think we've
discovered a brand new hack that is
going to be mindblowing or gamechanging
for people and then we are often quickly
brought back down to Earth because
inevitably people will start telling us
oh I've seen that done before so that's
definitely kind of a bummer but I truly
don't think that anyone that I've seen
anyone else attempt this hack using
aquafor lip balm so I obviously do have
eye makeup on I have mascara on I have
my brows on but I have no lower mascara
on no eyeliner no concealer no
Foundation I just have my moisturizer
and sunscreen on I'm actually going to
take a little bit of eye makeup remover
to prove to you that I have gotten that
I have got absolutely nothing
on under my
eyes I'm going to let that sit and dry
for a couple of seconds while I zoom in
hopefully you can see my eye area well
hopefully the lighting is okay and I
honestly
think we're good to go I think this is
dried all right so he says he uses the
lip balm so that is what I purchased and
once again I'm just going to check to
make sure that my eye area is free of
any residue from the eye makeup remover
and from what I could see he just kind
of went like
this right underneath the eye area a
couple
swipes and then he
also put
it in this area as well
because I'm sure if you are over 50 like
me you find yourself sometimes having
creasing in other areas besides
underneath your eyes then it appeared
that he went in with his concealer now
Scott Barnes is the originator
of underpainting a lot of people think
it's Mary Phillips because she is the
one who went viral on Tik Tok using the
underpainting technique but truly Scott
Barnes is in my mind the originator of
it of course there could have been
someone earlier than him to do it but I
remember first watching Scott Barnes in
2005 2006 doing underpainting so I am
taking a cfy concealer it's one of my
favorites especially for mature skin I
am picking it up on my
brush and this is from this brush is
from BK Beauty it is the
a 506 I should know this by now I use it
all the time and I was correct it's the
a506 and it's going over the aqua for
very very
nicely okay that looks good and now
obviously I'm doing the other
side trying to get as close close as
possible so that you can see and then he
took his finger I guess it's a good
thing that the nail has fallen off this
one it's much easier to
Pat without the nail so I'm just patting
patting patting getting all the way up
underneath the lashes you may or may not
know this already but most makeup
artists most professional makeup artists
will take their fingers and Pat out
concealer and Foundation because the
warm worm from your
fingertips will help to mesh the product
in with your skin and then he did go in
and apply foundation so I'm going to go
ahead and do that speed that part up and
then he appeared to have set the
concealer with a little powder I think
in the comments he said that he used the
Maybelline superstay powder which I
don't have in hindsight I probably
should have picked that up as well when
I ordered the aquafor my mistake so I'm
just going to use this um Pat McGrath
under eye blurring powder in baby pink
and for my Foundation I'm using the
katrice HD liquid coverage 24-hour wear
foundation in 034 medium beige I did get
a professional spray tan before my
birthday weekend so my body and face are
a little darker than
usual all right okay so the foundation
is on and now I'm taking a little powder
just as he did to set the under
eyes not going to use too
much I'm definitely not baking which for
those of you that don't know is when you
take a bunch of loose powder and apply
it to the under eyes Let It Bake for a
couple of minutes and then Dust it
away okay so I think the best thing to
do now is show you what it looks like in
natural light I'm going to grab my
iPhone go in front of a window let you
see how my under eyes look how this area
looks I have not powdered the rest of my
face at all yet then I'm going to do the
rest of my makeup go about my day for a
couple of hours and then come back and
show
you how it looks is this going to be my
new goto concealer application method I
guess we'll find out together okay so
here I am as promised in front of a
window natural light no filters using my
iPhone under eyes look pretty good
foundation looks pretty good I do have
oily and textured skin for those of you
who may never have seen one who might
not have seen one of my videos before
and you have no idea what skin type I
have I think that's important to mention
I'm lucky because of my oily skin I
don't have a ton of deep lines around my
eyes but I do have Fine Lines around my
eyes I do have crows feet I don't get
botex I don't get
fillers and I will check in with you all
a little later so this is what my under
eyes look like 5 hours later in my
studio
lights and here's what they look like in
natural
light I definitely want to test out this
technique a couple more times I also
really want to try it on my 76-year-old
mother and see what her results are see
what she thinks so definitely stay tuned
for an update on this aquafor hack and
if you end up testing out this hack
please let us all know your results in
the comments I cannot wait to hear what
other people's results are using this
hack if you can find this in stores this
aquafor lip balm now I did see another
influencer on Tik Tok do her demo using
um The Wider stick she found a larger
ointment stick and her results were
really really good except she's young
enough to be my daughter I think she's
like 22 or 23 so if you cannot find
these because I originally ordered mine
from Target for a pickup and it was the
one item that was missing they said it
was sold out so I ended up getting mine
in a two pack for around $10 at
Walgreens now in order to hear my
followup and update on this video you
will most likely want to be subscribed
to my channel if you are not already all
you have to do is hit that subscribe
button and you will become a part of the
Rea do makeup family I do upload new
