Q & A
What are the four primary causes of wrinkles mentioned in the script?
-The four primary causes of wrinkles are intrinsic aging factors (like loss of collagen and elastin, slower cell turnover, decrease in fat, and genetic factors), extrinsic aging factors (such as sun exposure, pollution, and drugs), lifestyle factors (including lack of sleep, stress, and dehydration), and hormonal factors (like changes in insulin, growth hormone, cortisol, and sex hormones).
How does a loss of collagen and elastin contribute to wrinkles?
-A loss of collagen and elastin leads to a decrease in the skin's structure and elasticity, causing it to sag and form wrinkles.
What role does sun exposure play in the formation of wrinkles?
-Sun exposure, particularly ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun, breaks down collagen fibers and causes the formation of free radicals, which damage skin cells and are one of the biggest causes of wrinkles.
How can poor nutrition contribute to skin aging and wrinkles?
-A diet lacking in essential nutrients can weaken the skin's ability to repair and regenerate, leading to premature aging and the formation of wrinkles.
What is the significance of facial expressions in the development of wrinkles?
-Repeated facial expressions, such as smiling, frowning, or squinting, can create grooves beneath the skin surface, which can eventually become permanent wrinkles.
How does lack of sleep affect the skin's aging process?
-Poor sleep quality can prevent the skin from repairing itself effectively, leading to early aging and the formation of wrinkles.
What is the role of stress in accelerating skin aging?
-Chronic stress increases cortisol levels, which can break down collagen and elastin, and also increases blood sugar levels, leading to inflammation and more wrinkles.
What are some topical solutions recommended for reducing wrinkles?
-Some effective topical solutions include retinoid creams, vitamin C and hydrochloric acid serums, and daily application of sunblock and moisturizers.
Why are collagen peptides recommended as a supplement for skin health?
-Collagen peptides are recommended because they help support the skin's structure by promoting collagen production, which is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles.
How can lifestyle improvements help in reducing wrinkles?
-Improving one's lifestyle by adopting a healthier diet, regular exercise, stress management, and better sleep habits can significantly reduce inflammation, improve collagen production, and overall contribute to healthier skin and reduced wrinkles.
What are some supplements that can help with skin aging and wrinkling?

Transcripts
everybody it's Dr Sam Robbins today I'm
going to quickly list the four primary
causes of wrinkles as well as the best
easiest and fastest solutions for
reducing wrinkles and possibly
preventing them at any age now I know
reducing wrinkles well obviously make
you look younger and feel more confident
however wrinkles and accelerated aging
also means that internally you're not as
healthy so improving your wrinkles will
mean better on the outside as well as
the inside and make you both look
younger and probably live longer too so
let's get started with the four primary
causes of wrinkles and skin aging now I
know you may want to jump uh later into
the video to the anti- wrinkle Solutions
part but remember the solutions won't
work as well if you don't fix some of
the causes of the wrinkles so let's get
started first with the intrinsic aging
factors these are natural aging uh for
example a loss of collagen elastin is a
big problem mainly because as we age the
production of collagen and elastin which
provides structure and ticity to the
skin that decreases another problem is
slower cell turnover now this is the
rate at which new skin cells are
generated and the old ones shed slowing
down making the skin appear dull and
thin thus revealing those Fine Lines
which eventually turn into deeper
wrinkles another part of aging is the
decrease in fat that reduction in the
fat layer beneath the the skin leads to
sagging and more pronounced wrinkles and
there's basically less fullness think of
it for example a grape that slowly turns
into a raisin gets wrinkly and and
depleted this is what part of aging now
and finally there are genetic factors
remember such as dark thicker skin such
as African-Americans will wrinkle less
than a pale person for example a red
head who has less melanin and thinner
skin to begin with now we have extrinsic
aging factors these are environmental
factors uh one major one is sun exposure
basically ultraviolet UV ray from the
Sun break down collagen fibers and cause
the formation of free radicals which
damage skin cells now this you know UV
damage probably one of the biggest
causes of wrinkles another problem is
pollution exposure to pollutants can
cause oxidative stress which accelerates
skin aging these are outside pollutants
uh then we have drugs popular over-the
count of drugs such as cigarettes yes
cigarettes are a drug and alcohol and
yes alcohol is a drug can cause damage
to the collagen and elastin which also
depletes important nutrients such as
Vitamin C which also speed up healing
now we have poror nutrition you know
listen a diet lacking in essential
nutrients can weaken the Skin's ability
to repair and regenerate this means
highly processed foods need to be
avoided sugars need to be avoided and
Seed oils now these foods are all in
inflammatory which is a major cause of
wrinkles which I'll talk more about in a
minute and finally repeated facial
expressions listen over time those
repeated movements like such as smiling
or frowning or squinting creates grooves
beneath the skin surface which
eventually becomes permanent now let's
finally go over to uh lifestyle factors
uh one major problem is lack of sleep
poor Sleep Quality can prevent the skin
from repairing it self effectively
leading to early aging and this you know
poor sleep affects everything negatively
because listen when you sleep your body
is healing and repairing it creates all
those youth hormones so sleep is very
important then we another problem is
stress chronic stress increases cortisol
levels which can break down collagen and
elastin stress also increases blood
sugar levels which also increases
inflammation all of which is linked to
more wrinkles and then finally we have
dehydration inadequate hydration can
make your skin look dry and more prone
to wrinkling most people just don't
drink enough water they're walking
around dehydrated and I'm talking about
water not just any liquid you need water
additionally your skin can also uh be
more dehydrated from the outside for
example if you live in hot dry climate
it's going to be a lot more uh you know
dehydrating versus if you live in a
topical humid climate which keeps your
skin moist all the time which adds up
over the years and finally we have
probably one of the most important
factors which is hormonal factors listen
one of the reasons we have all these
problems as we get older is the drop in
important hormones or increase in bad
hormones for example one of them is
insulin high blood sugar levels and high
insulin levels oxidizes the entire body
it's acidic and is inflammatory not good
for wrinkles uh growth hormone as you
get older there's lower growth hormone
production due to again aging or poor
sleep and which causes decrease in
collagen production protein synthesis
and accelerates aging another problem is
cortisol as stated earlier chronic
stress and elevated cortisol levels and
adrenal and hormones accelerates aging
causing higher blood sugar and also
causes inflammation and finally sex
hormone a decrease in your sex hormon
such as testosterone and estrogen which
affect both men and women also exter
aging can cause faster wrinkling and it
also causes a decrease in fluid
retention which causes dehydration again
similar to that grape to raisin analogy
that I gave earlier remember one reason
kids are full In Their Skin you know in
their face and all that is because of
just better hormones better uh growth
hormones and and so forth so keep that
in mind hormones and lifestyle can all
me major factors so in summary as far as
the causes when it comes to the causing
of wrinkles genetics aside anything
that's going to decrease heling and
collagen while increasing inflammation
is going to increase wrinkles so now we
can move on to the solutions to help
reduce those fine lines and wrinkles and
hopefully even prevent them as we get
older remember the falling Solutions
can't undo the causes that I've just
mentioned hence don't expect to prevent
wrinkles if you're going to be in the
Sun for hours every single day getting a
dark deep tan so let's reduce some of
the causes that I just mentioned and
then add in some of the simple easy to
implement Solutions now let's start with
the topicals I know there's millions of
Brands out there talking about topicals
and and this reduces that and this fixes
this unfortunately most topicals don't
work however the best and most effective
are uh retinoid creams basically they
stimulate skin cell turnover and boost
collagen production now there's dozens
of Brands out there that have retinol in
them I suggest you select one that you
like make sure you take a look at the
ingredients a brand that you trust
however if you can get a prescription
for retin A that would be better that
would be ideal why because it works
faster and it ends up being cheaper than
getting the retinoid cream that you get
over the counter another great solution
is taking vitamin C and hydrochloric
acid now this would be in a topical
serum so it's just something you put on
on your skin both the vitamin C and
hydrochloric acid both reduce
inflammation and increase collagen
production again topical solution I put
the link to one of the ones that I use
uh another problem that most people do
is they don't put enough sunblock when
they go out there this is a habit of
mine personally so you need to get a
habit of applying sunblock every day all
right especially on your face every
morning when you go outside
I suggest that also in addition to your
face you put it on the top of your hands
your neck and your upper chest also if
you're bald or you have a shaved head
make sure you put some on your scalp or
just wear a hat and finally we need to
moisturize all right it's important to
moisturize daily I know most guys don't
do but trying to get in a habit of just
putting on some kind of lotion every
morning at least every evening and you
can use lotions or creams or maybe a
light oil that if you don't break out
and pimples and if it contains ceramides
that's even better because they keep the
Skin Barrier intact and keep you more
hydrated now we need to improve things
on the outside which I just mentioned
with the topicals now we need to more
importantly improve things on the inside
so I'm going to tell you about some of
the best supplements that you should
take however as with the topicals as
with most supplements they don't work
most of them however the good news there
are specific supplements that are proven
to help your skin and the wrinkling and
just all around your body the first are
collagen peptides um they're not going
to do anything for building muscle or
anything like that even though they're
proteins but for the skin they do work
make sure you get the hydrolized Bine
peptide collagens okay so when you get
the collagen peptides make sure it's
collagen bovine peptide those are the
best ones that have been clinically to
work I'll put a link to the one that I
get on Amazon now keep one thing in mind
you need at least 10 to 15 G daily grams
I personally take 30 G daily so this is
why I suggest just taking that powder
form it's so much cheaper and it it'll
just save you a lot more money however
some of you are going to take it in pill
form just remember read the ingredients
you're going to have to take a hand A
Fistful of pills to get the benefits
because remember you need at least 15
grams that's
15,000 milligrams next one as I
mentioned earlier is hydrocolonic acid
now this helps the skin retain moisture
and plumpness I take I suggest you take
200 milligrams daily now I personally
take 400 milligrams daily I've listed
the One supplement I take Below in the
comment section and then finally vitamin
C vitamin C is needed to form collagen
in fact when you smoke the wrinkling
comes from a depletion in vitamin C in
fact taking collagen powder without the
vitamin C is almost a big waste of time
you need Vitamin C I suggest taking at
least 500 milligram to 1,000 milligrams
of vitamin C daily I personally take
over 3,000 milligrams daily now these uh
three supplements are specific for
collagen and skin however there are
three bigger and more powerful causes of
wrinkling and skin aging that need to be
fixed and addressed now the first one is
inflammation you've heard me talk about
inflammation a lot today
you got to lower inflammation
inflammation happens when we get older
inflammation is horrible for your body
especially your skin and hair they're
both connected now there are a few herbs
that support healthy inflammation such
as turmeric and ginger and pine bark
extract and a few others now I use a
product called inflame and Pain Relief
because it contains all of these proven
uh clinically researched uh herbs that
help support healthy inflammation I put
a link uh to inflam and pain relief
Below in the comment section uh in
addition with a coupon next you want to
lower blood sugar as I mentioned again
earlier high blood sugar is horrible for
the body and one reason is that just
sugar eats away at everything it's like
acid and it's not good for the skin not
good for the hair not good for the
organs and high blood sugar again also
causes inflammation which I just said is
bad for wrinkles and hair loss and even
pimples now there's a handful of
specific ingredients that can help lower
your blood sugar now I use a product
called blood sugar Optimizer s since it
can contains all these clinically
research ingredients I've listed blood
sugar Optimizer Below in the comment
section improve your blood sugar levels
and finally you want to lower stress in
cortisol as I stated earlier high stress
in cortisol Etc it's aging it increases
blood sugar levels and inflammation
again everything's all related to each
other so controlling stress can be hard
for most of us I get it we can't always
control outside lifestyle issues money
and family and kids and all these things
so I take specific herbs to help lower
cortisol the primary ones that I have
found that are clinically researched are
found in a product that I take stress
and cortisol relief which I've listed
below in the comment section and
including a coupon for that as well now
none of this is going to make that big
of a difference if you don't live a
little bit of an improved healthy
lifestyle right now we all know this we
always talk about healthy lifestyle my
suggestion is to make improvements in
your lifestyle just some simple stuff
for example diet just try to eat as
natural as possible all right that means
less processed foods try to eat more
vegetables and fruits and legumes and
yams and just healthy proteins and fats
such as fish oils and extra virgin olive
oil exercise exercise is important for a
million other reasons but listen keep it
simple just trying to walk 30 minutes a
day that's it you can walk 30 minutes at
once or you can walk 10 to 15 minutes at
a time two to three times daily such as
for example I walk first thing in the
morning and I take like a 10-minute walk
after two or three my meals that's it
that alone will make make huge
improvements and again it's minimal
effort and finally Stress Management
again I know this can be hard that's why
I take a product called stress and
cortisol relief however the most
important thing to improve your stress
is get better sleep all right made a
lots of videos about how to improve your
sleep I linked them Below in the
description area so in summary if you
want basically healthy skin and skin
aging that makes you look younger it
also means your body is also healthier
on the inside remember your skin is a
biggest organ in your body so don't
forget to scroll down take a look at all
the important resources that I mentioned
in today's video Below in the
description area improve your skin
improve your health as always thanks for
watching thanks for listening and I wish
you a very happy and healthy day
