investigation revolved around EDP who

responded to his catfishes in

excruciating detail over the course of

the conversation EDP was explicit in his

disturbing intentions despite the

catfish account saying they were only 13

years old he even sent the decoy a

picture of his own waste as well as

showing off his guns you might think

Alex Rosen and his channel were doing

the world a favor by bringing it all to

life but as Mo critical pointed out in

his video on the situation that wasn't

really the case today this was done by

one person or one group in particular

and that person the big face behind it

is not a good person at all often these

amateur investigators end up doing more

harm than good in the long run whilst

they Expos a potential Predator to the

world they was make it far harder for

law enforcement to land a conviction and

immediately confirmed later on when

other dets came to light before finding

success with his vigilante

investigations Rosen had made prank

videos as well including a prank cool

where he dropped the hard end bomb

multiple times his other videos also

revealed a darker side to his character

often he'd make strange borderline

comments by young girls yeah Predators

asked for a lot of pictures man they're

they're sick go ahead take off your

shirt even in the EDP video he talks

about how hot teenagers exist but he

knows he isn't allowed to see them that

way 18 I think there's hot 18-year-olds

I wouldn't do anything with a

17-year-old but there's hot 17year olds

but I don't go when I see a 17-year-old

I'm just like I can't do it like it's

just not right Gr stuff when you kind of

think about it more than half a second

and once critical got involved he made a

30 minute long expose on the situation

and it attracted over 17 million views

both EDP and rosen's channels were

deleted and edp's attempts to find a

place on the internet again rarely

lasted more than a day in a perfect

world EDP would have been arrested and

the story would have massively ended

there but because of how poorly it was

all handled EDP only lost his career

Discord server since none of this has

been through the coure system or being

amount of details it should be clear

there's definitely something weird going

on even before the truly daming evidence

away that wither Wonder wasn't the

average streamer archive videos paint a

sad picture of a bridden man who lost

all of the self-respect he might have

once had either he played video games or

simply sit around on a stream in one

embarrassing clip we see him fail to

cover up a suspicious looking stain on

his chair in another he ask his chat did

delete all the videos of of a hard drive

and it deletes every single video off my

hard drive he never says why exactly but

what happened next might give you a clue

early in the morning of June 23rd 2021 a

now deleted account posted a thread to

our Liv stream fail detailing some

chilling allegations against wither

Wonder in the post they included

screenshots of their unsolicited

conversations with him through both

twitch and Discord with the Wonder asks

the user whether they are a girl and

asks their age while the Reddit user

easily baits them in with a few short

responses the tone is immedately

disturbing and when the user says

they're only 17 makes wither Wonder get

even more explicit he offers to fly out

out to him and start sending explicit

videos within minutes of the

conversation starting when the user

finally says they're going to post it

all online weather wonderer drops the

hard R multiple times the thread blew up

and weather Wonder was suddenly in

danger of losing what little he had as

other reder users dug into his past and

found more incriminating tweets and

statements the whole situation only got

worse in one deleted tweet he fly ad

missed to his Twisted views on children

after everything else came out it got

hard to see this as just a poor attempt

at humor from the chats we know that

he'd been cultivating his own twisted

Community for years so he panicked and

did everything he could to try and save

his own skin it was just a few

screenshots and unsubstantiated

allegations at the end of the day but in

one clip he told his viewers that quotes

hopefully Charlie can do a video on me

and prove my innocence and for some

reason the guy that was accused of all

these things mentioned me in this video

on his channel it says hopefully Charlie

will make a video on this and help prove

my innocence he's a homie I don't I

don't know if this is about me but a lot

of people seem to think that it was I

want to make it clear I don't know this

guy whether he was even speaking about

critical is another question but

eventually Charlie did hear about what

happened and decided to weigh in

obviously Charlie had never heard of

this guy before so to make sure there

wasn't any question that he would help

this guy he made a video briefly

explaining the situation there is real

evidence against this streamer for the

things that they're being accused of and

it's about this user talking about their

experience with a streamer they were

following this channel in 2018 and

randomly decided to check in on them

that evening and he believes that his

name must have sounded similar to a

girl's name on the platform because the

streamer reached out asking if they were

a girl and asking the chat and then the

following ensued if with Wonder had kept

his mouth shut and just kept low profile

for a while he might have gotten away

with even less consequences than he did

but after Charlie gained 2 million views

on the video with Wonder's Twitch

account was banned the exact same day

it's worth saying at this point that

Charlie doesn't seek out these kinds of

things but when he was brought into it

he didn't hesitate to expose him to the

world but why would with the one to even

see him as a potential ally Charlie

spent years building a solid reputation

as the voice of common sense if

something is going down you can watch

online attempted to pray on innocent

victims that this ever happened now no

victims have spoken out against this

little comparison to the shortest liveed

to Minecraft Fame took roughly the same

path that all the other Minecraft

youtubers take for years he slowly built

a small audience for his streams while

he would play Minecraft and talk to his

community but even as a small streamer

ch was already exploiting his community

all the way back in 2016 a few years

after he got into streaming he was

already messaging underage girls one

victim got into contact with him when

she was only 13 years old whereas he was

nearly 18 at first he haded like a

friend and a shoulder to cry on keeping

things strictly platonic but it didn't

last for long over time he started

turning the conversations in a different

direction there were small things at

first like jokes or suggestions of

course it was always still grossly

inappropriate But as time went on it

escalated to unsolicited nudes and

outward comments despite multip refusals

and a bunch of push back and eventually

his manipulative pressure got him what

he wanted even one of these stories

would have been enough to bury his

career forever but it wasn't just one

victim there were over 40 and that's

just the ones who have bravely come out

in public to share their experiences one

13-year-old was lowed in when they were

going through a tough time in their life

support but it didn't take long for him

would have been everything he was

striving for at the time lots of

creators have gone from complete

anonymity to having millions of

followers off of the back of an invite

other evidence and just like that the

flood gates were now open and more and

more people came out against shishi

sharing their own stories of his

manipulations shishi was unceremoniously

kicked from the Dre s SMP and has since

gone radio silent but unfortunately

nothing else came from it even with the

whole Fiasco still being online for all

to see Chichi's Twisted story serves as

a warning of how toxic parasal

relationships can truly become

especially for young children even with

a relatively small community he could

change the lives of dozens of people in

such an awful way Minecraft YouTube and

other communities populated by children

are especially dangerous for this for

millions of kids around the world these

videos serve as a form of escapism from

whatever they're dealing with in their

own lives the dream s SMP especially

with its long detailed story lines and

role playing worked perfectly for this

Studies have actually shown the Mal

treated children and children that have

hard home lives with 50% more television

than children who live in a safe happy

environment while kids have drifted

towards online content and away from TV

these principles still apply especially

in the pandemic when kids were locked in

their homes for weeks at a time and so

Minecraft videos might have seem like

their only form of escape and as these

kids watch more and more content they

inevitably get attached to their

favorite characters and streamers if

they were all good Role Models then this

wouldn't be a problem but as they build

up a picture in the mind of these online

figures it makes it far easier for those

streamers to take advantage of it all

these positive emotions towards these

content creators means when they

actually come in contact with them

there's already a massive imbalance of

power Predators then exploit this

because they can use to offset their

manipulative requests for pictures or

information creating this terrible

conflict in kids Minds between the

online Persona of the predator and how

uncomfortable they are with what they're

saying they have this image of this

great person with all their positive

feelings towards them and it makes it

far easier for groomers to get their

foot in the door a common thing you'll

notice is that the victims know they're

uncomfortable and that it's wrong for

the Predator to ask them these things

but all too often it gets outweighed by

the parasocial relationship the victim

has already formed with The Predator

they don't want to lose the friend

they've made so what can we do about

this and where's this going to go in the

future with the rise of iPad kids well

only time will tell but it's a sad State

of Affairs that Charlie or pretty much

any other commentary channel has to

cover this sort of thing in the first

place it shows how widespread and

pervasive it truly is but if we teach

the Next Generation what to look out for

hopefully we can make it far harder for

predators to actually ruin people's

lives
