because we are going to talk about the long haul that typically is porn addiction recovery now it
doesn't mean all of it is challenging but it does mean it's not a sprint now if you've been
watching me for a little while you know that i'm going through my own journey of mold poisoning
which i wish was a sprint but unfortunately is a marathon so of course this is on my mind in my
heart and i want to share it with you because i know the pain of the marathon of recovery
i wanted to be told so badly that here you go take this and you'll be all better immediately
but unfortunately that's not how my situation works and it's not how porn addiction works
just like me you've been impacted by porn for years possibly decades and when you're impacted by
something for so long where i've been impacted by mold for over nine years without even knowing it
so it's not going to be overnight for me and it's not going to be overnight for you likely but
the beginning is the difficult part and hopefully i'm moving through uh past the most difficult part
um and that's what i want for you so let me tell you some things that i've learned
about this marathon lately okay so first of all when you know the journey is going to be longer
you can buckle in for it you can mentally get ready for it and say alright already i know this
is going to be something that i'm working on for a while but i do know it's going to get easier
and i know that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step another thing i've
learned recently is that the journey's not always the same the beginning part is not
the same as the middle which is not the same as you're moving towards the end and of course
i've known this but i'm feeling it in my program it's a three by three porn brain rewire approach
and what that means is you unwire your brain from the pattern that it's been using for
all those years or decades the pattern that drove you back into the screen
and drove you back to porn that has to be unwired and we need to look into the past and we basically
have to clean up all that moldiness from the past and i'm going through my own unwire right now
cleaning up all the junk from the past so that you can have a fresh clear brain moving forward
in the present we have to address rewiring looking at your thoughts your actions your behaviors
how you live your life your environment now for me i don't even know i was getting sick
the air was making me sick because there was mold back in the walls that i didn't even know about
and i was getting more sick not even knowing and you may have been watching porn not even
knowing it's damaging your brain but now you know and you know what happens with knowledge comes
responsibility with responsibility comes power to make new decisions to take new action steps
to think new thoughts to do new things that get you new outcomes that's what i'm doing i'm in
my fresh new town hall town home that i've had to rent for six months while they remediate my home
i had to buy all new stuff because i wasn't able to bring anything with me this is a fresh start
for me and as painful as it is it's also welcomed because it gives me the opportunity to clean up
my junk from the past and especially my error but in the moment i have to stay the course i have to
have the positive thoughts i have to get up and do the things that i need to do for my own recovery
even when i don't want to and i was thinking about you today hence the video plus i don't look like
i'm going to die today always a bonus because my small steps are working so today i woke up and i
did not feel good but part of the solution like i've already told you is sweating so i tied up
laced up my running shoes and went for a run and i have been using a a full spectrum infrared sauna
it's a personal size one it is ridiculous when i first ordered it i'm like hell no
will i be getting in that thing because it's ridiculous but guess what as ridiculous as it is
it works and i've got my booty into it every single day because it's the
thing that is working for me in particular and so what i thought was crazy initially

is what happened for me a week later you'll be like hmm i haven't watched porn in a week
