amalgamate what I'm about to say
I didn't realize for the longest time
there was an actual good way to learn
[ __ ] now to set the scene the reason I
came across this entire principle in the
first place was because a few years ago
some of you may already
know Jesus
Christ I was trying to be a professional
golfer now I've been playing golf for 20
years okay which is a long [ __ ] time
now when I was trying to be a
professional golfer the way it works is
I went to an academy there was like 50
other guys we were all trying to be
professional golfers we practice all day
blah blah blah blah blah we practice in
the UK and in the winter we go to Spain
to practice cuz the weather was [ __ ] so
we were in Spain and we were practicing
and I called it upon myself one day to
think you know what something doesn't
add up I've been playing longer than
literally everyone here and I wasn't
anywhere near the best out this group of
guys okay so we were in an academy we
wanted to be professional golfers I
wasn't the best which doesn't really add
up because I've been playing the longest
right I've done the most practice okay
to give you a scale if 10 was
professional zero was like [ __ ] I was
probably like a five and the guys I was
playing with were like a 5.5 or a six
and they were better than me and they
don't been playing like seven or eight
years which didn't make any sense to me
and so I took it upon myself to think
hang on a minute how the [ __ ] are they
better than me oh wait it's because
they've been practicing more than me or
hang on a minute it's because they've
been practicing harder than me and so I
took it upon myself to for the span of
about 3 to 4 months when I went to Spain
I think it was like 3 or 4 months
indulge absolutely and entirely in just
rigorous NeverEnding gut-wrenching
practice as you can see on the picture
there I was waking up at [ __ ] 6:00
a.m. I was practicing from 6:00 till
9:00 genuine practice with the rest of
the guys would start at 9:00 that would
be from 9: till 6:00 they'd go home get
ready to go out or go for dinner I
practice from 6:00 to 9:00 until it was
dark I do that for [ __ ] every day for
like 3 months straight so I was
practicing 12 hours a day basically
doing an extra 6 hours than they were
because I thought hang on a minute why
why are they better than me they're
shooting better scores than me they're
hitting the ball better they're just
better on the course they're improving
better they even improving better I was
like how the [ __ ] is this even possible
this is bollocks right and so I thought
the best thing to do was to just put
more hours in and the hours will add up
and then just by proxy I'll become
better than them right so I spent loads
and loads and loads and loads of hours
putting in more [ __ ] practice
thinking that that was going to be the
key like that was going to make me
better at golf and makebe this amazing
golfer and just [ __ ] explode past all
my friends skill level wise and leave
them in the [ __ ] dust to make all
this money etc etc etc okay now what I
realized ized after 4 months of doing
this 4 months of [ __ ] 12 hour days
waking up at 6:00 a.m. getting in at
9:00 p.m. Lally absolute [ __ ] crazy I
was [ __ ] wilded literally they were
like what are you doing you're getting
worse and you're putting in more hours
what are you doing this is crazy I was
like yeah this is [ __ ] crazy but you
know what I've got to figure out
something but what I realized was
this putting in more hours simply wasn't
good enough okay so you're probably
trying to do something right now maybe
it's even copyrighting you're trying to
you're trying to get better at copy
you're trying to do something and you're
not getting better at it and the reason
you're not getting better at it is
because someone [ __ ] lied to you like
they lied to me by saying that if you
just put more hours in you'll get better
at said task bollocks okay I'm here to
tell you first [ __ ] hand someone lied
to you okay I don't know who it was or
what age you were or the situation or
the scenario you were in someone told
you a lot of [ __ ] bollocks that is
not how you get better at things believe
me I spent four months trying to figure
that out and found out a hard [ __ ]
way it isn't putting in more hours okay
which annoyed me and after my annoyance
I was like okay if putting in more hours
which was the traditional sense of how
to get better at things wasn't the way
to get better at things how the [ __ ] do
you actually get better at
things because practice is basically a

included myself included learn a
specific way you try something you put
more hours in you don't really know how
but eventually you just get better at
the thing and then you get you get
better at other people and some people

try and flip it on its side or on its
top cuz I can't do that and I would do
that again and again and again and again
again and again and again for as many

until it elicited such an amount of
stress in my brain that something called
an adaptative response happens and you
begin to figure out how to do the thing

this if you try and do something which I
want you to try so you can see for your

this is legit if you try and do
something which you can't already do and
you say to yourself I am not going to
[ __ ] leave this room until I can do
this thing no matter how long it takes

it what will happen is you are going to
force your brain into an adaptative
response to give you an example I don't
play basketball obviously I'm white but
if I wanted to get better at basketball
here's how I do it I go to the hoop of
the basketball and say I wanted to get
10 Hoops in a row okay I would go to the
basketball bang hoop one hoop two hoop
three and i' say to myself I'm not going
to leave until I get 10 in a [ __ ] row
hoop three and I miss back to start back
to zero hoop three again back to zero
hoop to four back to zero hoop to six
back to zero hoop to eight back to zero
hoop to nine back to zero hoop to nine

Miss what that's going to do is elicit
such an insane amount of stress in your
body that it causes more like forces
your brain to think to itself hang on a
minute this [ __ ] has decided he
isn't going to leave this room until he
completes this task and what it does is
it begins to work in a very mysterious
way and it starts thinking if he never
leaves this room we're not going to eat
if we don't eat we're going to die he's
not going to [ __ ] any girls we're not
going to reproduce he's not going to
drink any water we're going to die of
thirst and it starts to go into panic
mode and that elicits a lot of stress
inside your body okay stay with me and
what that stress does over a long enough
period of time is it forces your brain
to do some absolute [ __ ] magic and I
don't know how else to say this but if
you try and do something anything that
you can't already do repetitively time
and time and time again for hours and
hours and hours and hours and elicit
such an amount of stress in your brain
that it forces an adaptation response
you going to get What's called the
click okay now you have seen this in
your life before you know when you try
and do something and it's hard and you
try again and again and again and then
you get it that's that's the click okay
and that's how you get better at things
so this stress forces the brain into an
adaptative response
okay it's it's like forcing the [ __ ]
brain it's saying listen okay if we
don't figure this out we're going to
[ __ ] die we need to figure out how to
[ __ ] do this now on the ninth try
after like five attempts I've hit the
[ __ ] ninth hoop in a row and missed
I'm pissed I'm so Furious I want to
[ __ ] go home I've been there for 4
hours I'm sweating my [ __ ] calluses
are rubbing the ball this is [ __ ]
after like the ninth or 10th try on the
ninth attempt to try and get my 10th
hoop in a row you know what's going to
happen I'm going to get the click and
I'm going to hoop that [ __ ] shot and
by proxy I will be much better at
hooping and from that point on I'll be
able to hoop 10 in a row like no one's
[ __ ] business okay I'll be a piece of
piss okay but it is forcing your brain
to have an adaptative response you're
literally forcing yourself to adapt okay
as if as if you're in the [ __ ] Sahara
Desert and you need to [ __ ] grow a
different limb to [ __ ] hide yourself
from the shade okay you're forcing your
brain to adapt to the scenario so that
you can become better and more equipped
to deal with the situation okay that's

after enough stress your brain will
connect the dots and you'll have like I

only come after enough stress how do you

your brain to think we need to step the

you'll get better at the thing okay now
and that will lead you to have the skill

Life okay let me give you the perfect
example I'm sure some of you have like
young children oh that's weird I'm sure
some of you have cousins or nephews or
whatever whatever in your life like kids
right that are like learning life isn't
it fascinating how that when they begin
life when they're starting to like get
the get the ropes on life they're
learning to speak they're learning to
walk cracking jokes eating food it's at
such a commensal rate it's almost
[ __ ] magic it's like within not to
six months they can't do anything and
then six to one year they're learning to
walk and then in 1 to two years they're
learning to speak okay and then what
will happen is if they're learning to
speak their whole lives eventually
because you'll be like this which is why
everyone's [ __ ] at speaking besides me
you'll get to a point say 16 17 years
old where you'll reach a level of
oration a level of communication and
articulation where you no longer need to
get any better at it and you'll stay the
same your whole
life isn't that crazy like you learn you
learn to speak from
scratch from [ __ ] nothing and you'll
get better for 15 years straight and
then you'll [ __ ] just Plateau for
your whole life why does that happen
some of you [ __ ] are older than
me and I'm better at speaking than you
how is that you've been speaking longer
than I have how the [ __ ] can I speak
better than you it's because I didn't
stop I didn't Plateau when I when I
figured out a way to speak enough to fit
in with Society I thought how can I get
better at speaking okay I'll speak on
camera for two and a half hours straight
with no Cuts or no takes that ain't

might take you a couple of tries it's
stressful as [ __ ] I can't mess up every
word needs to be placed correctly every
sentence in my brain needs to be
conducted properly I can't [ __ ] up once
and that's difficult but because it's
difficult it will force me to adapt and
now my brain works in ways which yours
doesn't which is why I'm able to speak
so compendiously and concisely stop
without any [ __ ] Cuts or takes
okay that's the perfect example okay so
the reason people don't get better at
[ __ ] isn't because they're not
practicing it's because they're not
practicing hard enough it's because
they're not doing [ __ ] they can't
already do they're just repeating [ __ ]
they already can do that's not practice
repeating something you can already do
isn't how you get [ __ ] better at [ __ ]
that's [ __ ] lazy that's how you
[ __ ] Plateau okay if you want to get
better at something you need to do
something you can't already do until you
can [ __ ] do it which causes an
immense amount of stress in your brain
that's the only way to [ __ ] do it
okay now to relate this to golf because
this is how we started I realized this
and you know what I [ __ ] did I
changed the entire way I went about my
practice okay I'm going to relate this
to copy and to life but this is how I
related it to golf
okay
firstly I practice less okay so I used
to practice for about 12 hours a day I
cut that [ __ ] down six okay by this
point [ __ ] women in my life had [ __ ]
to do right I wasn't practicing as much
but my I was getting better okay and the
reason I was getting better was because
my practice was better I'll give you an
example I used to practice I would go to
the range I go to the driving range
that's what we call in golf and I would
just hit balls hit balls hit balls hit
balls I would hit balls for [ __ ] 12
hours okay non-stop bang bang bang hit a
thousand balls a day right practice
right practice makes perfect hit the
same ball again and again and again
bollocks okay so you know I did instead
I thought to myself what shots can't I
hit okay cuz golf is a very unique sport
there's loads of different shots you can
hit so I thought to myself which shots
am I incapable of hitting I thought you
know what I can hit shots straight and I
can hit shots left to right but I can't
hit shots right to left all right what
I'm going to do is I'm going to sit here
and I'm not going to leave until I hit
five perfect T right to left shots in a
row and that's what I [ __ ] did I sat
there and I went on a couple YouTube
tutorials and I asked my coach and he
gave me a bit of advice and I didn't
[ __ ] leave that range until I hit
five right to left shots in a row do you
want to know how it went I hit one
failed hit two failed hit three 20 40
fail fail fail eventually I hit one shot
number 50 bang pipe perfect draw three
yards right to left smooth okay did that
again and then again and then the next
one [ __ ] up damn it got three start
again hit three start again hit four
start again stress been there for two
hours now my hands are bleeding no
plasters [ __ ] this is painful it's
getting dark my friends are going to
dinner can I [ __ ] hurry up and hit
five in a row stress sweat my back is
[ __ ] covered in sweat I need to get
new clothes my hands are falling apart
it's dark I'm running out of grass cuz
I'm hitting so many [ __ ] divots
stress hit one four no Miss bang and
then eventually I hit five in a row okay
after hitting that fifth shot in a row I
swear to God I was [ __ ] cursing like
a [ __ ] I was like Samuel L
Jackson on the [ __ ] range I was
everyone was getting cursed I was
[ __ ] swearing at the clouds the sky
the golf balls [ __ ] people went
around me I was so stressed but
eventually I managed to pull it off and
now I can hit right to left shots in my
[ __ ] sleep okay now when I get on the
golf course and there's a right to left
shot I can hit it no problem okay which
means I've become better as a
golfer okay now to relate this to
copy I did this all the time people say
to me how do you get better of a copy
Tom I don't know what to do this is how
you get [ __ ] better listen up when I
was learning I would listen to podcasts
and when I would listen to a podcast I'd
write something down in that podcast
which I didn't know how to do so for
example [ __ ] storytelling right okay
right an email call right listen to a
podcast all about storytelling write
down how to write storytelling how to
write storytelling how to write
storytelling pull bang go home sit down
on my laptop bang write the email right
in this email cuz I was writing for a
client at the time some of you may know
the worst client I've ever had how do I
sell the same product using a story
right I don't know how to write stories
but I'm going to write [ __ ] five and
see if any of them look good so write a
story [ __ ] no conversions no sales [ __ ]
try again write a story no cons no sales
no conversions [ __ ] write story no sales
no conversions [ __ ] try again right
story no sales no conversions [ __ ] try
again write a story one sale what was
different about that story okay that was
better okay brilliant write that down
next time write another story two sales
okay brilliant now if I try this and I
try this and I put this in in the same
story will that lead to more sales okay
write that again Bang three sales okay
and what I'm doing there is I'm trying
to do something I can't [ __ ] do and
so when I was learning copy which I
suggest you [ __ ] do I'm giving this
is free [ __ ] game okay listen to
something on a podcast listen to
something I say whatever it [ __ ] is
and in your next email try and implement
the thing that you've just heard don't
just write the same [ __ ] emails again
and again and again hey Tom I wrote 30
emails all DIC all about the same
[ __ ] Coke can no one gives a [ __ ]
it's 30 the same [ __ ] email you
haven't got any better you've just
repeated something you can already do
that doesn't make you better you need to
try and do something you can't already
do until you can do it write a [ __ ]
story [ __ ] don't going to it's not
going to kill you okay yeah it's going
to be a bit difficult but after five
iterations you'll be better and because
you're better you'll be a better writer
and because you're a better writer you
will get paid more okay so that's why I
did it in
copy real life example right let me
think Friday night this isn't going to
go out on Friday tonight's Friday right
Friday night you go to the city go to a
bar go to a club chat to a girl fraize
in the air flirt a bit boom drinks she's
happy you're happy go home [ __ ] her but
this time when you [ __ ] her don't [ __ ]
her like you usually [ __ ] her for 30
seconds on a [ __ ] missionary playing
with her tits a bit and then you finish
and she's like [ __ ] underwhelmed
don't do that instead this time try
something
new don't be weird okay but just try
something you've never done before okay
maybe you want to try something you
never tried do something you never done
whatever okay worst case scenario you
never see her again who gives a [ __ ]
okay oh yeah that Tom guy I [ __ ] him
and he wasn't even that good [ __ ]
you're an experiment okay trial number
three okay trial number 1 2 3 and four
failed but I used that [ __ ] on girl
number five and had the best night of
her [ __ ] life okay just try [ __ ] okay
so you got if you're on the weekend
you're going to see a girl just try some
[ __ ] okay it's not the end of the
[ __ ] world okay but if you're going
to get better at [ __ ] chicks you need
to try and do [ __ ] you can't already do
okay if you just [ __ ] earn missionary
every single day [ __ ] 365 every
obviously you're not [ __ ] girls 365
days like obviously impossible but like
stop trying to [ __ ] them the same way
every time try new [ __ ] maybe that
worked how did you respond to that maybe
that worked try this try that try that
try that try that try that boom before
you know you're going to be a [ __ ]
porn star okay but in order to get
better at it you need to try and do
something you can't already do all
right now that's the difference between
practice and deliberate practice okay
practice is doing something you can
already do repetitively and just putting
in the hours and practice makes perfect

okay deliberate practice is doing
something you can't already do and I
know what you're thinking but Tom if I
want to get better at a certain movement
or better at a certain piece of the
[ __ ] craft i'm doing shouldn't I do
it more than once yeah of course you
should do it more than once but you
should make it harder for example like I
literally made a video about this two
[ __ ] weeks ago if you're writing
emails don't just write 30 emails write
one email and then split it in half and
then split it in half again you're still
writing the same email you just making
it [ __ ] harder you can't write the
same email at half the length I can cuz
I've done it times you [ __ ] can't so
until you do it you're not going to be
able to and until you do it I'm going to
be a better writer than you but do it
[ __ ] 30 times and before you know
you're going to be an absolute whiz of
writing emails same for stories okay now
I can write stories can you write the
same story at half the words write the
same story with one minute boom you have
a minute to write that story your brain
is going to work overtime write the
story in a minute see the sales you get
and if there [ __ ] is not good enough
okay and you need to write it again you
have a minute and you can't stop writing
it in a minute until you get one [ __ ]
sale I'm telling you the speed of which
you will progress at anything you
[ __ ] do is going to be like nothing I
can even put into words you just have to
believe me when I say if you are going
to try and get better at something if
you were going to try and Excel at
something if you going to try and master
something this is how you have to do it
don't be a [ __ ] don't be a [ __ ]
Normie and just practice for the hell of
it okay whatever you're doing whatever
you want to accomplish whatever you
other what most people don't know this
whatever you see other people doing [ __ ]
them ignore what they're doing [ __ ] your
teachers okay obviously they're already
[ __ ] [ __ ] cuz they teach you what
they teach you in school but even the
way they teach you is wrong okay don't
listen to them if you want to get better
at things take it from me okay I ain't

do the speed at which you're going to
get better at doing that thing is going

but if you do it for long enough and you

now bro in the spine of a year I've gone
from making $250 to 50 Grand a
month is that not enough proof like I've
literally literally changed my entire
life in a [ __ ] year okay some you
takes [ __ ] 10 years to make that much
money took me a year took me 14 months
okay because I followed this principle I
thought how can I get better at copy
right I'll do that I can't do that so
I'll try that that I can't do that so
I'll try that every single day I was
trying something new for [ __ ] 3
months straight no wonder I'm so [ __ ]
good at writing and then it came to
outreach how many Outreach can I send
today 20 okay I'll send 30 tomorrow 40
the day after 50 the day after 60 the
day after I'll try this in the sales
cool never tried that I'll triy this
I'll try that I'll try that I can't do
that I'll try
that that's how you get better at [ __ ]
that's how I've been able to [ __ ]
transform my entire life in a year and
basically be good at everything I've
ever tried in my entire [ __ ] life

do it this way use deliberate practice
