The War Thunder Grinding Method that no one’s talking about
Summary
TLDRIn this video, the host introduces a unique method for maximizing rewards in the simulation game, emphasizing a 15-minute cycle to accumulate 600 points efficiently. The guest, Nate, explains that consistent activity is rewarded over performance, suggesting a strategy of bombing and returning to base to AFK until the next cycle. This method allowed Nate to grind through the French air tree in just three days. The video concludes with an invitation to join their Discord for more tips and a promise of a follow-up video to demonstrate the strategy in action.
Takeaways
- 🎮 The video discusses maximizing rewards in a flight simulation game by understanding its 'Useful Action System'.
- ⏱️ The system operates on a 15-minute cycle, but the key is earning 600 points within that time, not the actions' usefulness.
- 💡 Scoring over 600 points in a cycle doesn't yield additional rewards, making it the maximum efficient score.
- 🔄 It's advised to perform actions that sum up to 600 points, then return to base to wait for the next cycle.
- 💻 The method involves starting a timer upon spawning to sync useful actions with the 15-minute cycle's end.
- 🎯 Bombing a base or eliminating an enemy to get 600 points is recommended, then returning to base.
- 🛫 Spending most of the time on the runway is suggested to minimize exposure to enemies and maximize rewards.
- 🚀 The described method is effective for both PvE and PvP, but bombing is more consistent in the latter.
- 🌟 Nate's personal experience shows that using this method, he could grind through the French air tree in just 3 days.
- 🔄 The video concludes with an invitation to join a Discord community for more tips and a promise of a follow-up video.
Q & A
What is the main focus of the video?
-The main focus of the video is to teach viewers how to maximize their sim grind in a game, using a method that is not commonly taught by others.
What is the significance of the 15-minute cycle mentioned in the script?
-The 15-minute cycle is significant because it is the time frame within which players can accumulate useful actions to earn rewards, with a maximum of 600 points being the optimal target.
Why is accumulating 600 points within the 15-minute cycle considered optimal?
-Accumulating 600 points within the 15-minute cycle is optimal because it is the maximum amount of points one can earn before the rewards cap, making it the most efficient way to earn rewards without wasting time.
What is the recommended strategy for maximizing rewards in the game?
-The recommended strategy is to start a 15-minute timer upon spawning, perform actions to accumulate 600 points, then return to the base to AFK until just before the next useful actions are rewarded, and repeat the process.
Why is it advised to avoid bombing multiple bases in one story?
-Bombing multiple bases in one story is advised against because it would waste the opportunity to earn points, as the rewards cap at 600 points within the 15-minute cycle.
How does the game reward consistent activity over performance?
-The game rewards consistent activity over performance by capping the points at 600 within a 15-minute cycle, encouraging players to perform actions consistently rather than in a single, high-intensity session.
What is the benefit of spending most of the time on the runway?
-Spending most of the time on the runway allows players to multitask, doing other things while grinding, and also minimizes exposure to enemy players, reducing the risk of losing a premium vehicle.
How did Nate's experience with the grinding method affect his gameplay?
-Nate's experience with the grinding method allowed him to complete the French air tree, including acquiring the Mirage 4000, Mirage 2005f, and Mirage 2000d, in just 3 days of consistent grinding.
What is the advantage of using this method for grinding new tech trees?
-Using this method for grinding new tech trees is advantageous because it speeds up the process, allowing players to progress through aircraft trees more quickly and efficiently.
Is this method effective for both Player versus Player (PVP) and Player versus Environment (PVE)?
-While the method is effective for both PVP and PVE, it is noted that more consistent results are expected in bombing for PVE, and it is suggested to be better suited for the blue team in most matches.
Outlines
🎮 Maximizing Sim Grind in Warplanes
The video introduces a method to maximize the Sim grind in warplanes, emphasizing the importance of understanding the game's reward system. The host invites Nate, who explains that contrary to popular belief, the system is not based on the usefulness of actions but rather on accumulating 600 points within a 15-minute cycle. Nate advises against performing multiple high-value actions in one session, as it is inefficient. Instead, he suggests a strategy of starting a timer upon spawning, performing actions to earn 600 points, and then returning to the base to wait for the next cycle. This method is said to maximize rewards while minimizing exposure to enemy players, and Nate shares his personal experience of quickly grinding through the French air tree using this technique.

Highlights
Maximizing sim grind is the focus of the video, offering exclusive knowledge.
Introduction to how the Sim rewards system works, starting with a 15-minute cycle for useful actions.
Contrary to common belief, the system doesn't measure usefulness but awards points for actions within the cycle.
The key to maximizing rewards is to earn 600 points within the 15-minute cycle, as it's the maximum for earning RP.
Explaining that exceeding 600 points is ineffective as it doesn't yield additional rewards.
Gajin's reward system is designed to encourage consistent activity rather than sporadic high-performance actions.
Advising against bombing multiple bases in one story as it wastes potential points.
Efficiency comes from starting a 15-minute timer post-spawn to align with useful actions.
Flying out to bomb something or kill an enemy to get 600 points, then returning to base.
Spending most time on the runway to multitask while grinding, minimizing exposure to enemies.
The method is effective even without a premium vehicle, maximizing rewards while minimizing risk.
Nate's personal experience using this method to grind through the French air tree in just 3 days.
The method is not only efficient but also speeds up the process of unlocking new aircraft.
The method is recommended for both PvE and PvP, with better consistency on the blue team.

if you've ever dropped your bombs on the
ground and blew up an enemy plane go
ahead and hit that subscribe button
ladies gentlemen and my most often
forgotten but certainly not by me Su 17s
welcome to the video today I'm going to
be going over how to maximize your sim
grind in a way that nobody else is
teaching so stay tuned for this
exclusive
knowledge but before we get into it we
got to talk a little bit about how Sim
works so we have a special guest here to
explain it to you as he explained it to
me so Nate take it
away what's up it's Nate so basically as
most if not all of us know Sim rewards
work using a useful Action System now
this system starts a 15minute cycle
every time you spawn in which counts
your useful actions however that's not
actually how it works at all the system
does not care how useful you are or how
many actions you do but rather that you
get 600 points within the 15-minute
cycle now why 600 points you might
wonder this is because anything over 600
points is wasting your time you max out
at 600 it is and it is impossible to
earn moreell and RP after you have done
something that grants you 600 points now
this doesn't have to be one thing but
rather multiple things as long as it
adds up to
600 yes and I think it's quite
interesting how gajin has decided to
reward consistent activity over
performance so what you don't want to do
is go bomb multiple bases in one story
or you'll just be wasting them so
because of the way that points are
rewarded in Sim the most efficient
tactic is to start a 15minute timer the
second you spawn so that it goes off
exactly when you get your useful actions
you'll then fly out bomb something or
kill someone get your 600 points and go
right back home and AFK on the runway
until a few minutes before your useful
actions are rewarded fly out bomb
another base right after the useful
actions hit so you've got another uh 600
points on your next useful action so you
spend most of your time actually on the
runway so you can do other things while
you grind and it also kind of maximize
your rewards while minimizing your
exposure to enemy players so that's a
nice bonus even if you don't have a
premium vehicle cuz we all know how
valuable those spawns are and I think
we'd all like to avoid dying so Nate how
is your experience been grinding with
this method how fast is
it so let's put it like this um using
this method I grinded the entirety of
French air and more specifically it was
from never having played French air to
having the Mirage 4000 Mirage 2005f and
the marage 2000d in 3 days now that's 3
days of just consistent grinding and all
it took me to finish the entirety of a
near full tree with a premium Jet and
premium time of course now not not only
is this method the best way to speedrun
and that's right speedrun any air tree
but also the best way to Spade any
aircraft in a guarantee of two hours max
well thank you for sharing that with us
I'm definitely going to be using this
for grinding new tech trees now I will
say this will work for PVP but obviously
you'll get more more consistent results
of bombing and for that reason it seems
like it'll be much better on the blue
team for most matches unless you play
with other people but that concludes
today's video if you guys want to join
our Discord the Link's in the
description we're looking for new
aerison pilots to grind with so go check
it out I will be doing a follow-up video
to put this plan into practice so make
sure to like And subscribe for more and
I'll see you guys in the next video
peace
