Q & A
What are the key differences between the Z Cloud, Aqua Cloud, and Genesis sandals?
-The key differences include the type of laces (elasticity and thickness), sizing recommendations, sole design (flatness and lug depth), footbed (presence of anti-slip foam), and heel protection. The Aqua Cloud has elastic laces, a grippy sole with deeper lugs, and an anti-slip footbed, while the Genesis is more minimal with no footbed and shallower lugs.
Why are the Z Cloud sandals considered discontinued?
-The Z Cloud sandals are considered discontinued because they have been replaced by the Aqua Cloud, which is an improved version in every way according to the speaker.
What is the recommended sizing for Z Cloud, Aqua Cloud, and Genesis sandals?
-The recommended sizing is to go a size down from your regular shoe size when wearing sandals, as a snug fit is essential to prevent tripping and slipping, especially with thin soled sandals.
How do the soles of the Genesis and Z Cloud compare?
-Both the Genesis and Z Cloud have flat soles that are suitable for pavement but have shallow lugs, making them less ideal for off-road use. They are described as a hybrid sole, not specifically designed for off-roading.
What is the main feature of the Aqua Cloud's footbed?
-The Aqua Cloud's footbed features an anti-slip foam that provides additional traction, especially in wet conditions, and is designed to not absorb sweat or become uncomfortable when wet.
How do the laces on the Aqua Cloud and Genesis sandals differ?
-The laces on the Aqua Cloud are elastic and thicker, providing more stability and a snug fit. In contrast, the Genesis sandals have a more minimal and less elastic lace system.
What is the purpose of the heel protection in the Z Cloud and Aqua Cloud sandals?
-The heel protection is designed to prevent the foot from slipping out of the sandal, especially in wet conditions. However, the speaker mentions it can sometimes trap stones and may not be very useful for all users.
Why might the Aqua Cloud be a better option for wet conditions compared to the Genesis?
-The Aqua Cloud is a better option for wet conditions because it has a more grippy sole with deeper lugs, an anti-slip footbed, and a design that includes sipes and ends on the sole for better traction on wet surfaces.
What is the main advantage of the Genesis sandal according to the speaker?
-The main advantage of the Genesis sandal is its minimal design, which includes a thin sole, no footbed, and no heel cap, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a barefoot-like experience and durability on hot pavement.
How does the Aqua Cloud's sole perform on different terrains?
-The Aqua Cloud's sole performs well on both wet and dry pavement due to its grippy and hard lugs. It also provides better traction off-road and in wet conditions compared to the Genesis and Z Cloud because of its deeper lugs and sipes.

👡 Sandal Comparison: Zerus Thong vs. Cloud vs. Aqua Cloud
The speaker begins by expressing their intent to compare three types of sandals: Zerus Thong, Cloud, and Aqua Cloud. They note that while the sandals are similar, there are key differences that are important for potential buyers to consider. The speaker plans to do a full comparison in a future video, including the Z-Tril EV and ZRE, but for now, they focus on these three models. They discuss the discontinued status of the Cloud model due to the superior Aqua Cloud, which has better features in every aspect. The comparison includes the laces, with the Cloud having hard, non-elastic laces, while the Aqua Cloud and Genesis have thicker, elastic laces. The speaker also addresses sizing, recommending going a size down for a snug fit to prevent tripping and damaging the sandals. The summary ends with a brief mention of the differences in soles and footbeds, with the Aqua Cloud having a better footbed and the Genesis and Cloud having the same flat soles, which are not ideal for off-road use.
🌊 Aqua Cloud's Superior Traction and Design
The speaker delves into the Aqua Cloud's design, highlighting its improved traction due to the deeper lugs and sipes on the sole. They express surprise at the hardness of the lugs, which they initially thought would be soft, but appreciate the durability and grip they provide. The Aqua Cloud's sole is described as having double the height and depth compared to the regular Cloud and Genesis, making it more suitable for off-road and wet conditions. The speaker also discusses the sandal's aesthetics, noting that the Aqua Cloud looks more like a traditional sandal due to its thicker and brighter lacing. They mention the anti-slip footbed and the lack of a heel cap, which can trap stones but might provide some traction in wet conditions. The summary concludes with the speaker's recommendation for the Aqua Cloud for those seeking a sandal with good wet traction and a more conventional look.
🏞️ Choosing the Right Sandal for Your Needs
In the final paragraph, the speaker wraps up the comparison by emphasizing the versatility and quality of all three sandals. They suggest that the Aqua Cloud is the best overall model due to its superior sole design, anti-slip footbed, and good laces. However, they also acknowledge the appeal of the Genesis for those seeking a minimalist sandal with no footbed or heel cap, making it ideal for hot conditions and avoiding trapped stones. The speaker reiterates that all sandals are excellent choices and recommends selecting the one that best fits the buyer's needs and preferences, whether it's for wet conditions, minimalism, or a balance between the two. They end by encouraging viewers to choose based on price, personal style, and intended use, assuring that any of the three models will serve the user well.

Transcripts
so I just wanted to do a quick
comparison of zerus thong sandals those
are very very similar but they do have
some key difference that you should know
about I will make a full comparison
including the Z tril EV and the zre but
for now let's just talk about these
Sanders here because I'm running out of
time and I will make a new video
comparing all of them so what is the
difference you have the Genesis you have
the cloud and you have Aqua Cloud so I'm
sure you first of all you're want to
know cloud or Aqua Cloud what's the
difference the cloud is basically kind
of discontinued from what I GA they have
a few colors but they're basically done
and the reason is that the aquac cloud
is basically better in every way problem
is I cannot exactly compare only those
two because there are similarities
between those and the Genesis okay so
let's talk about what's shared among
those guys first of all the
laces you cannot really tell but the
cloud laces are hard there's no
elasticity whatsoever they're not the
best but I mean they're stable but I
don't know I don't think I prefer them
on the aqua Cloud the laces are elastic
they still feel kind of hard but when
you wear them they're elastic and
they're basically the same as on the
Genesis so those are thicker laces that
when you wear them give you a lot of
elasticity now let me talk about sizing
real quick those are all those are 44s
those are 43s I wear 44.5 in regular
zero s but I wear 43 in sandals why
because a downsize to 44 and this is too
long when you have a sandal like in
general with sandals us should Sid down
but when you have a sandal that is that
thin trust me you want this to be snug
on your foot otherwise you're going to
trip and fall and suffer and hurt your
feet and embarrass yourself and damage
the sandals it's horrible do not go for
the longer size this I haven't worn in
years why because the sizing is wrong I
have to sell it eventually but
whatever so we go with the snugger size
when I put on my jesis and same with my
e clouds now even though I haven't
really used those yet when I put them on
when my foot is in the air the LA are
tight enough that they actually contort
this thin Sole and it looks like it's
small for my foood but when it step down
it size perfectly you can see this in my
other videos featuring The
Genesis so the laces Genesis and aqu
Cloud they have the same exact laces but
what about the souls well in that case
Genesis and the regular Cloud have the
exact same Souls they're pretty flat so
they're good for pavement but they're
very shallow so do not expect those to
do well offro they can do okay but as
you've seen in my videos I did in
mikonos I would sleep around like you
know on the like off-road trails and
there dir roads and stuff they get suy
in the summer heat you just slip around
with this if it's uphill you're going to
slip around it's terrible experience so
not exactly the best thread for
off-roading it's more of a hybrid Soul
even though it looks like an off-road
Soul this is a hybrid Soul those LS are
way too shallow they're nice and flat so
they feel fine on the road but they're
way too
solow yeah cloud and Genesis have the
same lugs now let's talk about the
footbed the cloud introduced this anti
sleep football this is basically a foam
I think maybe I prefer the the no the no
foam on the Genesis this is just plastic
like kuk I'm not sure what it is I think
this feels amazing and it's good for
summer because it doesn't absorb sweat
or whatever just good old plastic with
some thread here for some traction but
you get those wet you're done seriously
you're done I try to leave a bits with
wet feet I've done just just go up a wet
Road like a wet dirt road with up heill
you're going to be sleeping around and
especially if you have to climb some
rocks and stuff you will be sleeping
around it is fine after I've done it
fine with it you know like a waterfall
but that was only because it was so
tight and there was nowhere to go but I
wasn't comfortable with all the stress I
was putting on the laces and with the
generalist ability I would not want to
wear those on a wet slippery heel with
wet fit because I'm pretty sure I would
die so this helps and when it comes to
the aquac Cloud this goes all the way
down of course to give you more traction
now doesn't make a difference I'm not
sure I haven't tried the clouds yet in
the wet or at all but especially in the
wet but I think it will make some
difference they have the cup here in the
back both the cloud and the aqu cloud
then doesn't have that this is a more
simplistic sandal this is basically
their did yourself kit but ready to go
that's the way I like it I don't want to
freaking do it myself sorry but when it
comes to those guys you have the
protection in the back I think this is
basically absolutely useless because
your your heel will probably extend
beyond that in many
cases but and it also traps Stones
inside you get a stone here you going to
try to take it off while you're walking
or running it's not going to get stuck
here
so I don't think that's a good idea
maybe act some traction if you're like
going up here and your feet are wet and
sleeping a bit maybe this will hold you
but whatever I think it's a problem
other than that let's talk about the
trade on the aqua clouds when you see
the pictures you're like okay this has
Sipes makes sense because it's for the
wet the cpes will help it grip to like
wet surfaces suck in the water and help
it grip but what's
actually this is different than what you
think I was very surprised when I it
first of all I thought those would be
very soft those are not soft at all
trust me those are hard LS they're not
soft but good news they're very grippy
so you're fine and further on when it
comes to the good
news okay those are hard so they will
last a while that's a good thing you can
use it on pavement all around you can
use it for anything you like you don't
have to go in the water and like what I
thought I thought they would be too soft
and I would only use them when go in the
water but no they're
hard but other than that they are
probably they probably have double the
height and the the depth
of the regular clouds and of the Genesis
this is not the same Soul at all has a
similar thread Buton obviously it has a
severon but they're much deeper which
means you will get better traction
Offroad now granted it is not what is
that it is not a freaking Z TR V so
which is absolutely barass and can take
anything on but it is deeper and I think
this will be fine because this probably
the perfect depth this is flat enough to
do well on the road but it's deep enough
to do well off road well these guys
those are basically Road Sue maybe
they're hybrid but whatever those are
deeper so they're deeper and they have
the seon so they they will be nice
Offroad and they will be nice in the wet
they're very sticky I try them on
pavement only the zra LV is similar
stickiness these are extremely sticky
from what I've seen and also they
have these ends here front and back just
like like the zv also has those guys you
see those in Hing boots and stuff they
will they will help with traction when
you like basically when you're slipping
this will catch you so you don't slip
completely off and the front will dig in
like on an uphill and
stuff it is a great design it is
basically a hybrid so similar to the
philosophy of the Z TR V is not just as
s like on the Genesis and the CL the
regular cloud but you have the sance and
then some of that just like you do here
but of course those are far deeper LS I
will be talking about those in different
video so yeah you have big LS with cypes
with those endings
here and food bed anti sleep nice and
easy good laces from the Genesis the
will do the job if you have them tight
enough so they're fine the laces are
fine
and looks good that was discounted
color36 oh my God this is
steel they also have some more regular
colors but those look very good trust me
maybe they look even better than the
Genesis because you know the Genesis is
understated but that kind of makes it
look like not even there it kind of Le
makes it leg makes it look like your
Barefoot but while this ones because
they're nice and thick and nice and
bright they pop out more so it looks
more like you know this guy is wearing a
sandal he's not wearing around
with a weird thong between his toes I
don't know it just seems to look more
normal now I look at it there is a
chance those are a bit thicker but it's
mer marginal it's basically the same
kind of lacing so yeah which one should
you get well if you do anything in the
water you go to the beach whatever you
want some Traction in the W this is an
amazing option if you never ever touch
water maybe you liveing up a mountain
whatever maybe there are no legs and
whatever when you're
from the Genesis is also amazing is the
most minimal sandal they make there is
no food bed to get sweaty and
gross there is no cap in the back to
restrict any of your food movement or I
know your trap Stones
inside it is Bare Bones it is thinner
than the aquac cloud because the ls are
Soler and there is no Al sleep foot
bed this is an amazing I absolutely love
the sandal honestly and if you don't
want to th you can just get the
regular zre so yeah this is an amazing
option this is an amazing option for the
wet and this is a hybrid of the two up
to you which one you're going to get I
couldn't tell you they're all great get
the one you find in the best price get
the one you like the most
physically and you will be fine I don't
see how you would struggle with any of
them
overall like objectively the aqua cloud
is the better S it has the better LS
deeper lag withes and some variation
here on the sole it has the anti-sleep
foot bed good laces looks good of course
extremely flexible and stuff extremely
thin just like the
Genesis will do better Offroad because
Genesis does not do good offro if you
want to go Offroad like in suy very very
dry environments you might struggle a
bit you might sleep around this will be
a tiny bit better because the ls are a
bit bigger so it is a great option I
think objectively this is a newest model
of them and I think it's the best model
objectively but if you just want an
absolute bitter of a shoe just get this
guy as minimal as possible Soul
durability is insane it's nice and hard
nice and flat doesn't care about hot
pavement whatever you can just score any
with
it and the cloud is a cloud just a
hybrid between those two basically so
yeah that's it for now guys I will be
making a total comparison between
including
the zra and zre those are the
sandals looking good I'm going to see
you the next one guys see you
