Transcripts
this is how you deal with loneliness in
high school now I just moved from the
United States to Germany I left all my
friends at home I left the entire
community that was part of I left all
the clubs all the teams all the schools
and I basically starting brand new here
in Germany I don't know the language I
don't know the culture I don't have any
friends I'm lonely and when I first
started to be here I started to become a
little sad because I had nobody to talk
to and nobody to be around and I know
that a lot of people also feel this way
they feel like they don't have a sense
of belonging in the place that they live
right now so I'm going to walk you
through a couple of things that I did to
help me get out of this kind of rut of
like shallow depression that you are
lonely now the first thing that I did
was I took a break from social media
specifically Instagram because on
Instagram basically what you do is you
post pictures of yourself with other
people and you do it for clout and you
do it for popularity basically like
you're just showing off your life saying
that my life is better than yours you
have no friends right now in your life
and you're seeing all these people post
about being with their friends online
you're starting to subconsciously
compare yourself to those people and you
start to be less happy because you start
to think well my life isn't exciting at
all compared to these guys now deleting
Instagram for me it helped me focus on
my life more than others which brings me
into my second point which is to do
things that make you love yourself if
you are playing video games all day
beating your me eating dumb food not
sleeping well all these bad habits if
you're doing all these all day and
wasting your life how do you expect to
be happy now you have to hold yourself
accountable and you want to actually be
doing the things that do make you feel
good so if you do things like exercising
meditating for 10 minutes a day
gratitude Journey sleeping well and
you're hanging out with your family
every day then yeah you're gonna be
pretty happy you're doing things that
make you love yourself and give you
natural sources of dopamine so that you
can be content with what is around you
and once you do these habits you start
to learn to be content with yourself and
be happy with being with yourself and
you realize that you don't need the
validation of others or you don't need
the constant present of others in your
life now I'm not saying that you don't
need other people in your life you
definitely do the Lone Wolf path is not
good but this helps you be a little less
dependent on other people for your
happiness now the third thing is to be
patient God has put this period of
loneliness in your life to remind you
that you can suffice stress by yourself
you don't need other people you just
need yourself to be happy and to seek
fulfillment in this life however God who
has friends and people coming into your
life in the near future he just wants
you to learn your lesson that you are
lonely right now and you need to learn
how to be content with yourself and once
you pass this test once you get over
this obstacle then the friends will
start to come so for me school started
and even then I didn't really feel like
I was attracting many friends I was
making many friends and then I finally
nailed and doubted and being content
with just myself and right after that
friends started pouring it I started to
meet new people I started to find new
places to hang out at lunch found all
these different things and more people
to talk to and I made more friends and I
became more happy because of it now the
fourth thing is to join a club or a
sport especially because the bond and
the connectivity that you get between
those people in those Sports in those
clubs it's special and it's different
from the bond and the connection that
you make with other people in your
classes at school and the reason why you
have a higher level of togetherness with
the people in your sport team or your
Club is because you are united under a
common interest so you all have some
sort of culture unity and you also are
working together to overcome challenges
and when you do overcome those
challenges you see the people around you
like your brothers and your sisters and
it creates a much deeper bond together
and also I found that it gives you a
sense of belonging and a sense of
community where you are in life and I
hope this video helped out these are the
things that I use to help me get out of
being in a depressed state being lonely
and it just starts with you you have to
take action and if you want to learn
more about improving your life in high
school and self-improvement and being
sure to subscribe because that's what
this channel is all about peace
