The script also discusses the limitation of earning only 1,000 Max particles per day and the option to purchase more in the game's shop.
🎮 Mechanics and Strategy of Dynamax Raids
This section delves into the specifics of participating in Dynamax raids, such as the cost of joining a raid, the ability to participate solo or with a group, and the ease of defeating tier one bosses. It mentions the potential for Max raids to become a 'Pay to Win' feature due to the limited free Max particles and the possibility of higher tier raids costing more. The script also introduces a new system where Max particles are only deducted if the raid is successful, which is a positive change from the traditional raid system. Additionally, it discusses the battle mechanics, including the use of the Dynamax meter, max moves, and the ability to cheer on teammates if all your Pokémon faint.
🏆 Rewards and Additional Features of Dynamax Raids
The script explains the rewards system for Dynamax raids, including the option to upgrade rewards for a cost. It also discusses the feature of leaving a Pokémon behind at a raid to earn candies and provide a damage boost to future raiders. The potential for a free Pokémon encounter at power spots is mentioned, adding an extra incentive for players to participate. Other notes include the countdown timer for the raid lobby, the lack of a time limit in battles, and the inability to use a Master Ball in Max raids. The permanence of the raid boss at a power spot until it closes is highlighted as a beneficial feature for players.

Transcripts
wait to do Dynamax raids before you
watch today's video because we've got
all the information of how they work
what to expect and how to maximize this
brand new really cool feature and it's
getting great reviews so I'm very
excited about this today Tuesday
September 10th at 10:00 a.m. Begins the
go big event which is happening from the
10th to the 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time
and it is stacked for starters very
obviously Max raids are here in Pokémon
go and it's not just the starters we've
got Charmander Squirtle Bulbasaur squo
it and wulu Max raids and yes they can
all be shiny you can find a shiny out of
the max raid we don't quite know the
rates yet for the shinies but when we do
we'll share it and that's definitely
being hunted and tested right now you
also get two times XP for spinning Poké
stops two times XP for completing Max
battles and the field research tasks
include collect 100 Max particles gives
you items collect Max particles from a
power spot gives you either a sovit or a
wulu win a Max battle gives you a
Charmander Bulbasaur or Squirtle collect
400 Max particles gives you a wulu or a
sovit and then collect Max particles
from three power spots gives you a
Charmander squir Squirtle or Bulbasaur
it's really important to know that these
are not Dynamax Pokemon that you're
getting from this field research so know
that you cannot damax the Pokemon that
you get from the field research you can
only Dynamax Pokemon that you catch from
Dynamax rates now let's get into the
nitty-gritty all the information that we
know right now upon the official release
of Dynamax raids first starters if you
want to even just do one of these Max
battles it's I've called the max battle
not a Dynamax raid if you want to even
do a Max battle you don't use Raid
passes you use max particles it costs
250 Max particles to enter into a Max
raid if you've been playing the event
the last week you know that if you visit
a Max or a power spot if you visit a
power spot it will give you 120 Max
particles by visiting and then by
walking two kilm you can earn 300 Max
particles it's also important to note
that the power spots do not stay there
that little timer that you see in the
power spot that is the time until the
power spot moves they move every single
day or technically if you look at that
little uh that timer that tells you when
the power spots going to move but they
are constantly shifting and changing
around so if you do not have one close
to you today you might have one close to
you tomorrow if you've been playing you
also know this the max amount that you
could get is a th000 per day which is
really really low and kind of doesn't
make sense cuz if you go to max out one
of your max moves on your Pokemon it
shows like I think it's 1,400 Max
articles in order to get like the fully
maxed move so they're going to have to
expand this storage uh and this
definitely is a point of contention and
a big piece of feedback that a lot of
players are given it sucks that you
could only earn a th000 per day and you
can't stack it or save it you have to
just earn spend earn spend super quickly
there's no saving this is the literal
beginning of this feature the start of
all of it so I'm sure this will change
an update with the future but this is
kind of how it is now now you can
purchase Max particles in the store as
you can see in the shop One Max particle
pack gives 850 Max particles for 150 Pok
coins and three max particle packs gives
2400 for 425 so by buying three max
partical packs instead of uh one you're
saving 25 poke coins which is that's
great oh also can we claim more no we
got our 800 well here's let's test
something here I have 760 Max particles
I've claimed the most that I can for the
day but if I went in here can I
technically buy some exchange oh we can
wow wait a minute oh is it an item hold
on let's go in the item bag I haven't
used this yet
uh wow a small pack of Max particles
each one holds 800 if I use this what
does it do oh wow it it literally gave
it to me oh and check at that W that
actually worked we have, 1560 out of
1,000 Max particles from buying that wow
oh my God that worked okay wait now I
want to go into here check it out we can
max out this move right here sweet got
8,000 XP for that by the way which is
crazy and then I don't have enough for
this we'll do this later wow that was
cool now you saw the move that I had I
we maxed it out each Dynamax Pokémon
will have three different Max moves
which will be Max Spirit Max guard and
then one attack and the attack will
depend on the Pokemon more specifically
that Max attack will depend on the
typing of the fast move on that Pokemon
by using Max Spirit it will heal the HP
of yourself and your allies in the max
raids which will be a lot more useful
when like tier three tier five Max raids
come out right now for the the tier ones
they're so easy and we'll talk about
that and then by using Max guard you
just take less damage from the boss now
let's talk about Max raids specifically
anybody can participate you can join and
go out and do Max raids right now when
you're watching this you do not need a
full party of people all you need is one
single Dynamax Pokemon you have to have
at least one Dynamax Pokemon in your
party in order to participate in a Max
rate and you can get that for free by
doing the special research to the max
which will give you a Dynamax wulu and
eventually a Dynamax sovit encounter so
you can catch them for free from the
research and then use those Dynamax
Pokémon to go in and battle yourself up
some more and again you can go and solo
these but up to four people total can
join a Max raid so if you have some
friends go out with them get some raids
in but if you're solo don't worry
because you can join a Max raid by
yourself the timer will go down to where
you can press the ready up button solo
so you can start the raid and these tier
one Max raid bosses are more than easy
enough to defeat on your own so don't
worry if you're solo or you're just
walking around by yourself you'll be
fine also important to note that Dynamax
Pokémon can only be used in Max battles
they can't be used in normal raids or
PVP quite yet again reiterating onestar
Max raid battles cost 250 Max particles
to join we do not know if that will get
more expensive with more higher tier Max
raids uh that definitely would be a way
for Niantic to monetize the game if they
only allow you to collect 1,000 free per
day because then if you want to do more
than one Max battle if they're more
expensive theoretically you just buy
more mac this might become a Pay to Win
feature we're going to have to see it
feels pretty pay to win right now then
again raids are the same way you only
get one free raid per day whereas with
Max raids you can get four so I guess
that's already a lot nicer speaking of a
lot nicer there's a really cool feature
and system that was implemented that we
all hope goes into the raids basically
when you join a Max raid and you battle
up against it your max particles are
only used if you defeat the raid boss if
you lose the raid boss or the raid ends
for some reason and you do not defeat it
your max particles are not used which
should be the same exact system with
raids so this is really great it's
really cool that they implemented this I
hope this extends to raid bosses and
raid passes because those are also very
expensive and they definitely stack up
but this is a really really cool feature
so that is an awesome part of Max raids
and when battling Max raids here's like
kind of how it works basically you're
going to join the raid you're going to
tap tap tap it's the same tapping system
and what you're going to do is you're
going to level up your max meter and
once your Dynamax meter fills up you can
Dynamax your Pokemon and then use your
max moves you get three turns with your
max moves and again these are these tier
ones the Charmander Bulbasaur Squirtle
they're so easy to defeat so if you get
up to your max move even if you have a
wulu like you're going to be fine and
I'm I'm I'm stacked I powered my guy up
and everything he's ready to go but even
if you didn't you didn't invest any
Stardust or anything you just have the
like the base level moves you should be
able to solo these just fine now when we
get get to more difficult raids like the
tier three and higher uh Max battles
here's kind of a cool feature apparently
if you faint if all three of your oh by
the way you can only bring three Pokemon
into the max raid you can only bring
three and one of the three has to be a
Dynamax Pokemon now in three star Max
battles or higher if your Dynamax
Pokemon faints I'm sorry if all three of
your Pokemon in your party faints you
can cheer on your teammates which will
help them fill their Max meters faster
so it's kind of cool they like this I
think this works the same way in the
main Series games um but yeah if you
pass out you could sit there and root
your team members on and actually help
them in the battle which is cool there
was a new feature implemented that we
talked about last week basically when
you defeat a Max raid you get like you
get rewards obviously but you get a
little option to upgrade your rewards um
there's a screenshot right now which is
an example 1,000 XP a rare candy a
revive and then 10 extra premier balls
for 200 poke coins which is diabolical
also if I'm not mistaken these were
100 poke coins and now they've doubled
it to 200 I might be wrong there but if
that actually did happen and that's
probably Niantic testing how much money
they can get away with charging people
before they stop buying because dude
paying 200 coins for those rewards on a
tier one boss that you're going to catch
in the first ball is insane and I know
there's people that are buying that and
that's even crazier don't buy this this
is horrible value there's a really cool
feature that basically when you defeat a
Max raid you can leave your Pokémon
behind in that rate we were debating and
speculating on what that might do and
what that might mean well we figured it
out basically if you leave one of your
Pokemon behind at a Max raid it's going
to earn you candy which is great and
then also it's going to help trainers
future players defeat the max raid and
here's how that works the more Pokemon
that are left at a specific Max raid the
more of a damage multiplier that other
trainers get it's not a Pokemon that is
like an AI and it joins in helps your
friends fight it's not like it's nothing
like that and also this information like
is just super duper Fresh So this might
either be maybe potentially slightly
wrong or it might change in the future
but this is what we speculate it's like
right now again the more Pokemon left at
the power spot the more damage boost
that players will get one Pokemon is
left at the power spot there will be the
first level of damage boost two to three
Pokemon will be the second level 4 to 14
Pokemon will be the third level and 15
to 20 Pokemon will be the fourth level
damage boost we do not know exactly how
much of a boost get but the more Pokemon
that are left at a power spot the bigger
boost people get on their damage on
their attack when they're going in and
doing the raid so again it's not like
you're leaving a team of Pokemon there
for other people to use you're basically
just giving your friends or whoever
comes across the gym in the battle uh
just a boost on their attack which makes
it easier for them to defeat and then
the rewards that you get from leaving
your Pokemon there like the candies kind
of like with gyms you get those rewards
after your Pokemon is knocked out and
like returned back to you and it is
important to note too that that you can
recall your Pokemon at any time if
they're inside of a Max raid unlike gyms
where you have to wait for your Pokemon
to get knocked out I'm assuming this is
because you can only battle Max raids
with Dynamax Pokemon so if you leave
your only Dynamax Pokemon in a Max raid
you're like stuck from being able to do
raids so they're preventing against that
which is also a great feature and a very
cool part of this also apparently
there's a cool like free spawn encounter
feature I don't exactly know like fully
how this works but apparently the more
Pokémon that are left at a power spot
the higher chance that you can get at a
cool little bonus free Pokemon encounter
and you can find that somewhere on the
bottom left side of the screen when
you're like in uh and interacting with
the power spot and you click that and it
gives you a free encounter it's not a
Max Pokemon encounter I'm assuming it's
going to be maybe like a starter or a
wulu or a sovit so just like an extra
encounter a free Pokemon maybe it's a
shiny but that's happening as well so
that's kind of a cool feature and then
some other random like kind of notes
about how these all work the raid Lobby
is 120 seconds uh on a countdown timer
but it could be changed to 15 seconds
once everybody readies up so there is
the ready up feature in Max battles
there is no time limit which is really
exciting when we start getting more
difficult Max battles uh and legendary
ones to where we just have to worry
about making sure everyone's Pokemon
stay alive so later on down the line
when more difficult bosses are released
we'll start seeing a lot more strategy
when it comes to using those other moves
moves that those Dynamax Pokémon have
including the healing move so that's
cool good strategy in the future then
what does end the max battle is either
when you defeat the raid boss or when
all three of your Pokemon faint and
that's when the battle will end you get
5,000 XP from defeating a tier one Max
battle you cannot use a Master Ball in a
Max raid so even if you find very very
cool Dynamax shiny you can't use your
master ball on it which kind of sucks
but maybe that'll change in the future
this seems a little bit obvious but you
can only battle the max rate
once at a power spot and then it's done
kind of like with a gym you know what
I'm saying you can only battle the gym
boss or the the the the raid boss once
and then it's gone so same thing with
Max battles but unlike gyms and raids
the boss the max the Dynamax raid boss
basically will stay at that power spot
until the power spot closes so raids
kind of you know you have the raid egg
which is there for what like 30 minutes
you have the raid which is there for
like what like an hour uh and then it's
gone right and it's continually shifting
all over different gyms throughout the
day like different raids and stuff but
with Max raids which is very very cool
the same boss is at that same power spot
the entire time until the power spot
leaves which is typically like what like
12 to 24 hours per spot so super cool
there you always kind of can easily go
to one to the other and not worry about
time running out like you know if you
want to wait for a while to go take a
raid out it's still going to be there so
that's really cool I like that feature a
lot oh let's talk about Mega Evolution
fun fact Dynamax Pokemon can Mega Evolve
remember it is squirrel Charmander
Bulbasaur so it's the starters they all
have Mega Evolutions and you can Mega
Evolve them but if you do mega evolve a
Dynamax Pokemon you cannot use it in a
Max raid while it's still Mega that
button that Dynamax button goes away
when it's mega evolved and then also too
there's like apparently some visual bugs
with it as well so just kind of know
that it might look sort of weird kind of
an interesting thing here you cannot use
a Max particle pack if you have 1,000
Max particles or more which we can
actually test here we've got a Max
particle pack I got 760 so we're going
to use one particle pack boom used okay
we got 800 so now at, 1560 and then
we're going to try to use a second nope
we can't do it let's go in here into my
Dynamax and uh we're going to Max Max
this out okay oh we need xl's I didn't
even think about that dude also we
should we should power this up right
level 40 it why not screw it screw it
it's not even good ide as we're shiny
this is just complete waste although
with our sovit we can do this oh check
it out okay so it cost a total of 1,400
to get it to Max which will do it right
now so bam 8,000 XP we have now maxed
out our sovit uh Max overgrowth move
cool and then again you can get shinies
from the max raids there are screenshots
and Screen recordings of it it looks
awesome and these are going to be really
really rare Pokemon and obviously
remember that you cannot Dynamax your
current Pokemon you have to catch a
Pokemon from a Max raid that is then
Dynamax eligible so if you do want to
have very cool Dynamax shinies you have
to go out and hunt them this definitely
I can see is going to create a whole new
class of Rarity in Pokemon go because
you can trade Dynamax Pokemon as well
apparently there's some like the trading
is a little buggy right now too but you
can trade these so really grinding and
getting shiny Dynamax Pokemon is going
to be a whole new trade currency in
Pokémon go everyone's going to want
shiny Dynamax Pokemon cuz they're going
to be so so fun to use especially if you
can start using them in PvP and in raids
it's going to make them so much more
worth going out hunting and grinding so
again the fact that you can get these
shiny is a really really big deal and
it's going to be a super duper rare very
sought after shiny I mean all of them
will be so definitely definitely good
luck hunting your max shinies I will be
doing this tomorrow from a different
state actually which would be very fun
so make sure to subscribe if you haven't
already and check out these other videos
on screen and stay tuned for tomorrow's
video where I go out and I hunt my first
ever Max raids and hopefully get a shiny
thank you for watching good luck
