🏀 From Struggling to Success: The Power of Long-Term Thinking
The speaker recounts their journey from a financially unstable and directionless phase to becoming a successful entrepreneur. They emphasize the importance of long-term thinking, inspired by Jeff Bezos' approach to business and life. The speaker shares their initial goal of earning $2500 a month and how they now run multiple businesses with a team of 40 members, achieving $400,000 to $500,000 in monthly revenue. They stress the significance of thoughts leading to actions, habits, character, and ultimately, destiny, as stated by Laozi. The speaker introduces a mindset training aimed at changing one's destiny through the right thinking patterns and the application of long-term strategies.
🌱 The Dichotomy of Long-Term Vision and Short-Term Execution
This paragraph delves into the concept of balancing long-term vision with short-term actions. The speaker uses Jeff Bezos' strategy of planting seeds and watching them grow over a long-term horizon as a metaphor for success. They discuss the importance of setting a three-year vision and breaking it down into smaller, achievable goals over time. The speaker also addresses the common mistake of entrepreneurs who prefer to plant new seeds rather than nurture the ones they've already planted, highlighting the need for patience and consistent effort in business growth. The paragraph concludes with a call to action for viewers to adopt a balanced approach to achieve success in both their personal and professional lives.
🚀 The Jeff Bezos Effect: Scaling Success Through Consistent Action
The speaker introduces the 'Jeff Bezos effect' or 'popcorn effect,' which illustrates the power of consistent, simple actions over an extended period leading to significant results. Using the example of making 100 cold calls per day for 1,000 days, the speaker emphasizes the importance of execution and patience. They argue that most entrepreneurs fail because they quit due to unrealistic expectations and a lack of persistence. The speaker encourages viewers to think in longer time frames and to focus on nurturing their business seeds to guarantee success, much like Bezos' approach to building Amazon.
🔄 The Power of Change and Sacrifice in Entrepreneurship
In this paragraph, the speaker discusses the pivotal moment when they decided against going to college and instead chose to pursue an online business. The speaker poses a hypothetical scenario where they have 12 months to live and must scale their business to save their life. They argue that when survival is at stake, people find a way to achieve their goals. The speaker challenges viewers to consider what they would start and stop doing if their life depended on it. They encourage a deep introspection and a commitment to change, suggesting that extraordinary outcomes are possible when one's 'why' is strong enough, as echoed by the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
💪 Sacrifice and Discipline: Keys to Unlocking Success
The speaker shares their personal philosophy on success, which revolves around sacrifice and discipline. They also emphasize the importance of eliminating distractions and focusing solely on activities that contribute to their goal.
🛑 Embracing Minimalism and Focusing on Growth
In the final paragraph, the speaker continues to detail the drastic changes they would implement in their life, emphasizing the cessation of activities that do not contribute to their goal. boys boys I've done it I've cracked the
code I just found out that my new
neighbor is NBA
legend who used to be one of my favorite
basketball players growing
up and it's crazy dude because just a
few years
ago I had basically no money to my name
I had no idea what I wanted to do with
my life and I was about as lost as a
person can be when I started an online
business a few years ago I remember
saying out loud I like I prayed and I
didn't even believe in God at the
time but I said out loud to the universe
to God to
whatever if I can just make $2500 a
month I'll be the happiest person in the
world just $30,000 a year $2,500 a
month and it's crazy because now our
companies do $400 to $500,000 every
single month we have about 40 team
members across our
companies we run four different
businesses none of them by the way sell
courses to
10-year-olds and I work like 5 hours a
week but the question is always
how how did you actually make that
transformation what actually did it like
what was the thing that actually made
the
change and so in this video that you're
watching right now I decided to just
spend like 20 hours pulling back what I
actually did to transform my life and I
have to warn you it's a bit
intense so if you're looking for the
get-rich quick easy
path this isn't that but I want you to
imagine that this is a video you paid to
watch because this is one of those
things you would find in like a guru's
multi thousand program but I'm giving it
to you for free but treat it like you
actually paid for it because if you just
give yourself 10 minutes here and you
take this seriously you cut off all the
distractions you will be able to figure
out what it
takes watch your thoughts they become
words watch your words they become
actions watch your actions they become
habits watch your habits they become
character and watch your character
it becomes your
destiny Lau the TOs philosopher said
that and I want to welcome you to the
last mindset
training you will ever need because if
we reverse engineer the wisdom in that
quote from
laozu our thoughts determine our destiny
so if we want to change our destiny if
we want to change our life we have to
change our thoughts this has led me to
realize that behind every
great success is a great
thinker all the tactics in the world
will be absolutely useless if you don't
think in a way that is congruent to
capitalizing on those tactics the way
you think will become the way you live
across a long enough time Horizon so how
can you optimize your thoughts to create
a successful business and a successful
life well we're going to steal a quick
Insight from our boy Bezos who in 2011
donated $42 million to the development
of a giant clock that was set to last
for 10,000 years our first shareholder
letter in 1997 was entitled it's all
about the long term if everything you do
needs to work on a three-year time
Horizon then you're competing against a
lot of people but if you're willing to
invest on a 7-year time Horizon you're
now competing against a fraction of
those people because very few companies
are willing to do that so just by
lengthening the time Horizon you can
engage in Endeavors that you could never
otherwise pursue at Amazon we like
things to work in 5 to 7 years we're
willing to plant seeds let them grow and
we're very stubborn we say we're
stubborn on vision and flexible on
details the first time I read that I'm
not going to lie to you guys I got
chills he wrote that in
1997 Amazon hadn't even been profitable
yet see in 1994 Jeffrey Preston Bezos
started Amazon in bellie Washington in
1997 he wrote his first shareholders
letter which was called it's all about
the longterm in 2001 the bubble
consumated and Amazon stock had dropped
over
92.3% down from $107 per share to $8 per
share and amazon.com was at that point a
modern-day meme some writers and analyst
infamously coined it amazon. bomb now in
2003 9 years after Amazon's Genesis it
finally turned a profit in
2017 Jeff Bezos became the richest man
in the world and in
20123 Amazon became the largest online
retailer in the entire world and Jeff
Bezos is so damn successful he's trying
to find another planet to live on
literally but it all started 25 plus
years years ago when he wrote down it's
all about the long
term he was right now you see most
entrepreneurs are willing to plant seeds
few are willing to watch them grow few
are still are willing to be stubborn
about it the way that Jeff Bezos was so
thinking in time frames is a dichotomy
to be managed throughout your life it is
a balancing act between thinking in a
way way that maximizes your output in
the decade while acting in a way that
maximizes your output in the day so to
exaggerate this for the sake of
emphasizing the point if you only
thought in long-term time frames you
wouldn't eat any snacks or anything
today but if you only thought in
short-term time frames you would eat as
many snacks as you want today so it's a
dichotomy to be managed you see in that
same shareholder letter Jeff Bezos when
addressing the strategy of Amazon at the
time he said our goal is to move quickly
to solidify and extend our current
position while we begin to pursue the
online Commerce opportunities in other
areas Bezos acted quickly in the short
term and he thought extendedly in the
long term that's the dichotomy so back
to planting seeds the unfortunate
reality that I've discovered after being
in the online business world since I was
17 is this most entrepreneurs would
rather plant new seeds than watch the
the seeds they've already planted grow
planting new seeds looks like this if
you're an agency owner for example
changing niches after 2 months changing
your offer after four sales calls in a
row don't close changing your price
because someone said no changing your
service delivery because the first
client you ever got said that the leads
weren't good or even worse you change
business models alt together and become
a damn drop shipper or something it's
likely you've heard the cliche statement
business is a marathon not a Sprint and
the thing about a marathon that
fascinates me is everyone could complete
a marathon if they just focused on
distance instead of time in fact you've
already completed a marathon in your
life I'm sure you've traveled at least
26.2 miles so if you can change your
mindset from how fast can I get there to
how far can I go you will be drastically
more successful than everyone else who's
watching the same video but not actually
grasping the concept and if you haven't
grasped this yet because you're rushing
to get to some tactics or the next video
or whatever it is from the bottom of my
heart I encourage you to go back and
watch this again ruthless execution in
the day uncanny patience in the decade
that's how we need to think if we want
to be successful entrepreneurs because
the execution without the patience will
lead to the only way that you truly fail
at anything ever and that's by quitting
but at the same time the patience
without the execution will result in
near insanity and inevitable depression
and so this is why I say it is a d aomy
to be managed the idea is to balance
your mind between long-term goals and
short-term actions and so here's some
tactical advice to actually do this
create a three-year vision for your
company and for your life where do you
want to be 36 months from now a great
resource to check out here is the book
called Vivid Vision by Cameron Herold
break that Vision down from 36 months
into a 12-month goal create quarterly or
12we objectives to support that goal and
then weekly review your progress towards
Ward that quarterly objective and then
daily write down the actions that you
need to do to have a successful week and
so once you've done this you've just
reverse engineered a three-year goal
into a daily action what do I need to do
today to achieve this massive Vision in
three years and that's something most
entrepreneurs never do if you accomplish
the daily action you have a successful
week if you have a successful week you
complete the quarterly objective you
complete the quarterly objective you
achieve the 12-month goal if you achieve
the 12-month goal you realize the
three-year Vision this is the idea of
chunking which is the simple process of
breaking huge goals into small actions
which I believe is a process that
Ordinary People can use to accomplish
extraordinary things and the reason this
is so important is because the only
reason that an entrepreneur an agency
owner a drop shipper whoever the only
reason they fail is because they quit
and the number one reason I see them
quit and I've seen literally thousands
of them quit it's because they have
unrealistic expectations their
expectations are unrealistic because
although the goal is realistic the time
frame in which they want to achieve the
goal is not and so it's not that they
can't achieve their goal it's that
they're sprinting to achieve it when
they have a whole Marathon ahead of them
and that leads to what getting burnt out
and not being able to finish the race
now quick note for you guys I'm going to
completely contradict this perspective
in a few pages to show you again how to
balance this as a dichotomy but this
this is the idea of a realistic time
frame and it's essential for beginners
but I also believe at a certain level
you become capable of pushing yourself
to achieve things in unrealistic time
frames and I fully acknowledge that it
seemed unrealistic for me to scale my
agency from 10K a month to 150k a month
in 90 days and to scale from basically
nothing to 300K a month in just one year
and then to take another agency from 20K
a month to 150k a month in another just
3month period but in the beginning it's
the time frame and the expectation
around how long it's going to take you
to achieve the goal it's the time frame
that holds people back because the
reality is if you're brand new in the
online business game in the agency game
let's say you will not get rich in the
next 6 months despite what the core
slinging gurus tell you you will not get
rich in the next 6 months the amount of
failure that you have to experience to
get rich can almost not even be fathomed
in a 6-month time period let alone
experienced if this idea of not getting
rich quick hurts your feelings then
please watch it again because anger is
one of the first steps to transformation
and so I encourage you to get as mad at
me as you want as long as you continue
to turn that anger into action and
hopefully you have been able to enhance
your perspective on the time frames
required for Success after listening to
this so far think in 3 years not in 3
months and although you may not get rich
in the next 30 days if you continue to
challenge your thoughts to the likes of
La zo and Jeff Bezos in just 3 years you
will be able to make more money than you
even know what to do with after building
10 businesses in a row I have
experienced a phenomenon called The Jeff
Bezos effect which one of my friends
Joel Kaplan calls the popcorn effect
this will make everything we're talking
about here more practical for you as a
online business owner especially an
agency owner if you're an agency owner
then we're going to take the whole thing
and put it on steroids so you can almost
guarantee whatever level of success you
want seriously this is going to get
crazy so strap in but warning it's not
going to be easy the Bezos effect the
seemingly astronomical results a person
can achieve from doing a simple thing
for a seemingly complex period of time
AKA The Power of planting seeds here's a
real world example if you're an agency
owner make a cold call Simple it's hard
for some like me but it's simple make a
100 cold calls in one day also harder
but still simple pick up the phone and
dial 100 numbers within a 24hour time
period including researching business
owners calls that go a little bit long
no answers Hang-Ups people cussing you
out Etc let's assume a generously long
estimate of 3 minutes per call 100 calls
would take 300 minutes or 5 hours so
again although it may be hard because it
doesn't feel good it's pretty simple to
make 100 Cod calls in one day now make
100 Cod calls per day for 1,000 days
straight that's the Bezos effect take a
simple activity that helps you achieve
your goal multiply the timeline you'd
like to do that activity for by 10 and
then ruthlessly execute that activity as
much as you possibly can for that new
period of time and boom you're on your
way to the way Jeff Bezos would build an
online business continuing to use the
agency owner example I've seen a ton of
them go all in on some form of Outreach
whether it's Instagram DMS cold emails
AI looms paid ads before they decide
that after just a couple weeks they've
either discovered gold or they've
completely wasted their time and need to
try that new Outreach method that that
one guy in that one Facebook group who's
definitely not selling a program on how
to get 100 appointments per month
guaranteed swears is the new best
Outreach strategy usually neither
extreme is actually true it's not gold
but it's also not garbage and so if you
can change your mindset from 100 points
of Outreach in a day to 10,000 points of
Outreach in a quarter or even better
40,000 points of Outreach in a year and
literally just start thinking speaking
and acting in longer time frames you
will become massively more successful in
life not just in your agency or your
online business but in every single
thing that you do this is the mindset
that I believe Jeff Bezos would hold if
he were building a marketing agency for
example and just a side note can you
imagine what Niche would Jeff Bezos go
into if he was building an smma bro
would go after planets anyway here's the
best way that I've heard bezos's mindset
explained in practical terms when you
put popcorn in the microwave hear me on
this what happens at first absolutely
nothing in fact the first couple of
minutes of popcorn being in the
microwave it's extremely underwhelming
but by minute 3 those popcorn kernels
scattered throughout that red and white
paper bag they start to pop slowly but
surely momentum kicks in and soon enough
the bag of popcorn turns into Southside
Chicago endless popping that never seems
to stop I'm sorry for my Chicago friends
I I'm sorry quitting an agency after 6
months is like taking popcorn out of the
microwave after 30 seconds because your
red and white bag wasn't filled with
delicious buttery tasting kernels of
popcorn yet you decided to just take it
out but you would never do that because
you know it doesn't take just 30 seconds
to cook a bag of popcorn so why would
you quit your online business after 6
months I'm here letting you know it
doesn't take just 6 months to achieve
your goal and now that you know that you
can keep your bag in the microwave for
longer you were so close to a delicious
treat but you gave up you got shiny
object syndrome and you went and ate
those shitty processed Pop-Tarts
AKA Amazon
FBA most entrepreneurers would rather
plant new seeds than watch the seeds
they have already planted grow into
something beautiful every cold email
that you send every cold call that hangs
up on you every free trial you run every
client that cancels after or two months
every Loom that gets opened every paid
ad you run every time you take that
action believe it or not a seed is
planted in science for every action
there is an equal and opposite reaction
in business for every action there is an
equal and opposite and Delayed Reaction
the key difference between science and
business is the reaction a lot of times
is more delayed in business than it is
in science so your actions will come
back to you but you must give them
enough time to do so your seeds will
grow into a flower so to speak but only
if you give them enough time and you
water them consistently in the game of
online business the person who plants
the most seeds wins this goes for agency
owners specifically 10K a month 100K a
month a million a month it doesn't
matter if you plant more seeds than your
competitors you learn how to nurture
those seeds effectively you won't be
competing with those guys for long but
don't listen to me if you don't want to
listen to Bezos remember what he said at
Amazon we like to plant seeds watch them
grow and we're very stubborn about it
all right I've made my point and
potentially just beat the heck out of a
dead horse but hopefully I've ingrained
something in your mind that is a concept
that's usually only grasped by the top
1% in this world so let's take this
mental model and let's put it on
steroids Newton's first law an object at
rest stays at rest and an object in
motion stays in motion unless acted upon
by an unbalanced force Isaac Newton most
entrepreneurs are objects at rest I know
it sounds harsh and maybe it is but the
first step to achieving our desired
realities is confronting our current
ones and everything I say by the way in
this video I say as an extremely flawed
human being who has plenty of struggles
has just been able to change his life
through what he's teaching here so I
feel it's necessary for me to give it to
you like it is so to speak so why are
most online entrepreneurs objects at
rest well as Isaac Newton's first law
states they haven't been acted upon by
an unbalanced force
yet as as the quote goes until the pain
of staying the same becomes greater than
the pain of change you will always
remain where you are I remember I felt a
sharp pinch in my abdomen and this was
it it just got real I was terrified but
a fraction of me was excited beyond
measure almost as if I knew that this
pain was needed for me to push to the
level that I was capable of truly
reaching see it was 24 hours after I
just saw the most horrific look on a
face that I've ever seen it was my mom's
pale tear ridden look of fear upon
hearing that I did not want to go to
college but rather I wanted to buy some
course on the internet and start an smma
we had finished our conversation with
the classically exhilarating I'll have
to talk to your dad first the next day
my mom told me that Dad was on his way
over and considering my parents were
divorced this was not usually a good
thing in fact it was usually very very
bad luckily I prepared I created a full
Microsoft PowerPoint explaining how I
was going to succeed with my newfound
marketing agency and this
$597 course that I was hoping and
praying they would help me purchase was
going to change my life I finished the
presentation with uh well that's it
that's my plan what do you guys think I
asked
cheerfully as if I had just aced a
Hollywood audition Upon finishing this
PowerPoint presentation to my mom and
dad initially I was met with an endless
void of silence and two pairs of
bewildered eyes staring at me almost as
if they couldn't believe that I was
still serious about this whole make
money online thing after tossing each
other a is this kid serious look they
asked me if I could give them a minute
of course I said not knowing whether I
should feel optimistic or terrified I
walked out of the room and went to shoot
hoops in my driveway I remember swishing
a jump shot and saying man if only life
could be as easy as an off-the screen
floater with no
defense I remember laying the ball in
the driveway and taking a squat position
and sitting on it this is really it I
started to think to myself this is
everything there's no backup plan
there's no Plan B there's no last second
time out it's out of my hands now all I
could do was sit there and wait now I'm
not exactly sure what happened in that
minute that I gave my parents but when I
walked back in the room and sat down
again both their faces and bodies seemed
to be poised very stoically almost as if
they were channeling their firmness to
prepare themselves to give me the answer
they knew I so desperately did not want
to hear I saw my mom's back filled with
tension as she quickly scrambled to fix
her posture here we go I thought
dreadfully to myself but before I could
give them my ninth inning and last
minute pitch my dad spoke up that will
help you by the course my eyes widened
with excitement I couldn't believe it on
one condition he interjected my positive
thoughts huh I I quickly snap back to
reality uh thank you guys what's what's
the condition I asked him on the edge of
my seat you have 10 months my mom buted
in sharply 10 months for what I asked
them what 10 months for for what my mom
continued you have 10 months before we
start charging you rent and you start Co
and you start covering all of your own
living expenses in the next 10 months
you have to make enough from this whole
smma marketing thing to be able to live
completely on your own you're probably
going to need to be making at least a
,000 a month or what I asked them or you
have to get a real job or go to go to
college or you're not living here my dad
interjected very very firmly and I said
guys I'm
17 you know I'm not going to school you
know I will never work for someone else
you know that I can't do that their
reply was firm but necessary they said
then you better make this
work they had clearly thought deeply
about this and I could sense there there
was no point in arguing so I simply sat
back in my chair and and fixed my Gaze
on a crack in our wooden kitchen table I
was half defeated but I was half ignited
and ready to go I'm going to have to
make a teacher's salary in the next 10
months as a depressed acne and anxiety
filled 17-year-old Punk who's never done
anything even close to this my dad
interrupted my silence as I was thinking
this and he said well that's our offer
do you want to think about it he asked
me pretty
politely I took a deep breath swallowed
harshly I quickly glanced them a
forceful look of gratitude and I said I
accept thank you guys given me 10 months
to either succeed or fail was probably
the second best thing my parents ever
did for me second to splitting that
course with me in the first place 50/50
that $597 course by the way it has
turned into over $8 million in Revenue
all online while traveling the world
before taxes recuit taxes if my career
had been a stock and my parents 50%
investment had earned them an equal
Equity stake of 50% in my career that
would equate to a
192,193
24x Roi 1,4
24x thus making them the most successful
Venture capitalists of all time if you
based it on a return on Capital
percentage
and for any of the young out there in a
similar situation and your parents
helped you buy a course or they invested
in you in some way go and make them the
most successful Venture capitalists of
all time it will fill your soul more
than any Lamborghini ever will so why
did this timeline work so well why did
this 10 months change my life well I was
an object at rest and given me a cap of
10 months to succeed was an unbalancing
force and me running a 20K a month
agency just 6 months later was me
getting into motion as a result of that
unbalancing Force I felt as if I had 10
months to succeed or my life was
literally over since I knew that college
and employment were out of the picture I
viewed entrepreneurship and building a
marketing agency as my only path of
survival because of the darkness I was
in and the mental health problems that I
was facing at this time if I did not
make this work the path that my life was
heading I don't even want to think about
building an agency building an online
business for me was the epitome of a Do
or Die situation and that's why I got my
ass out of rest and so it leaves me with
one simple question for whoever is
watching this right now what if you only
had 12 months to achieve your goals or
your life was over what if your doctor
called your phone right now and told you
they had discovered a rare terminal
disease in your blood cells and you only
have 12 months left to live 12 months
left in this life before you inhale your
last breath ever but there is a cure the
doctor tells you there's a quest you
could set out on that if accomplished
would magically eradicate this tragic
disease from your body and allow you to
keep your life the quest is to scale
your business to 100K a month before the
next 12 months is over if you scaled
100K a month in the next year without
breaking the law or being completely
immoral you keep your life do you think
you could do
it I believe you could and it's not
because I'm a naive Optimist although I
am but because practically speaking I
believe something extraordinary happens
to human beings when their life's on the
line when they have a big enough reason
to accomplish something they figure out
a way to do it you've probably heard
about the moms who are able to lift
their cars to save their kids who are
trapped under them or these crazy
stories of
incredible amounts of strength when
there's a big enough reason to do
something as Frederick n the German
philosopher said the man who has a
strong enough why can bear almost any
how and so if your why was your life on
the line you would figure out the how
the question is what would you start
doing differently that you aren't
currently doing today and I want to
challenge you at this point in the video
to pull out a piece of paper pull out
your notes app on on your phone pull out
a Google doc something that you can
write something down with and I want you
to write two sections the first section
says start and the other section says
stop you might want to do this on two
separate pieces of paper make sure
there's adequate spacing the start
section is to represent all the things
that you would start doing if your life
was on the line and you only had 12
months to get to 10K a month or 100K a
month or whatever your goal is if you're
brand new in business I would be
shooting for 10K a month although you
can achieve more it goes back to the
timelines we talked about if your past
10K a month or you already got some
momentum I would shoot for 100k a month
I've scaled three businesses to 100K a
month in under 90 days under 90 days and
there's nothing special about me so I
know it's possible so I want you to
write down that goal whatever number is
exciting enough to make you smile while
also creating a slight pinch in your
chest because it's a little bit scary to
think about if you feel that smile and
you feel that pinch you're on the right
path for me in my next company the goal
would be let's say to go from0 to a
million doar a month in 12 months while
providing a raving Fan Experience for
our customers and this mindset Works no
matter what level of Revenue you are
shooting for that's the beautiful thing
if you're going from 0 to 10 or 10 to
100 or 100 to a million the funny thing
about the mind is it doesn't change it
just grows and so the stop section is to
represent all the things you would stop
stop doing if your life were on the line
if you're multitasking while watching
this by the way if you're worried about
the next video if you're worried about
texting somebody back I encourage you to
actually focus on this because this may
be the most important exercise and
promise you make to yourself in your
entire life it changed mine I know it
can change yours Take 5 to 10 minutes
put away any distractions and just write
out what comes to mind for you what your
start and stops are if your life was on
the line and you had to achieve this
goal what would you start doing that you
aren't currently doing and then what
would you stop doing that you are
currently doing once you're done with
your list come back to this video and
I'll share with you what I've written in
mind fair warning M's a little bit
intense and for anyone who thinks that
this is woo woo and doesn't matter I
want to share with you a quote that I
once heard from Dan Henry he said it's
not about learning all the tactics it's
about becoming the person capable of
using the tactics and that's what this
is and so if I could double down on any
success rate that I have in my life it
would hands down be my ability to
sacrifice I am not the most charismatic
Guru you'll ever meet I'm actually quite
strange if it's not related to something
I'm passionate about I'm not the most
intelligent I have a ninth grade
education I'm not the most well spoken
and I definitely ain't the best looking
although I
know I know she's
beautiful what I am though is I'm
willing to sacrifice more than any other
human being in the game I'm willing to
give up whatever I need to give up in
order to achieve my goals and so if I do
nothing else in business but stay true
to that sentence I just said I will
accomplish more than I ever can imagine
and you can do the same if you're
skeptical of just how powerful this is
check out the definition of the actual
word sacrifice it's my favorite word in
the English language sacrifice
an act of giving up something valued for
the sake of something else regarded as
more important or worthy giving up
something valued in order to attain
something more valued that is sacrifice
giving up late night binge watching to
build a business that allows you to
travel the world and have freedom and
binge watch the rest of your life if you
want to giving up delicious tasting
treats to build a body that you can
actually be proud of and provides the
energy you need to thrive in life your
level of sacrifice giving up toxic
friends and bad relationships in order
to become a person that is capable of
attracting whatever human beings you
want to surround yourself with I did
that I had to cut off my friends I had
to cut off family members but now I'm
able to provide so much value I've been
able to network with the highest level
people in the game heroi Iman Charlie
Thomas and Joel all these guys I had to
give something up in order to attain
something greater because your level of
success remember this your level of
success and your level of sacrifice are
equatable so if you want to succeed more
you probably have to sacrifice more
resist your pleasures discover your
Treasures give up your pleasures gain
your purpose that's what we're
sacrificing here short-term pleasure for
long-term purpose because if you show me
a person who's willing to sacrifice I
will show you a person who will succeed
by aggressively eliminating and
aggressively sacrificing you are
essentially rigging the game so the only
thing you can do are things that help
you wi that's why this is so powerful
you're making it unreasonable for you
not to succeed and so with that being
said here's exactly what I would
sacrifice here's my list what would I
start doing if I had 12 months to hit 1
million a month or I die number one I
would start waking up earlier 6:00 a.m.
at the latest I'd start treating my body
like a temple not processed foods no tap
water no added sugars no cheat meals I
wouldn't have brain fogging Foods or
drinks or anything like that I'd start
treating my mind like a Temple garbage
in garbage out that means I'm going to
start consuming better information
listening to more relevant content
quality podcasts quality books Etc
reading the Bible every single day I'd
start getting outside my comfort zone a
lot more if my life was on the line
because I have nothing to lose isn't
that a fascinating thing you got nothing
to lose you got 12 months and then
you're dead but by getting outside your
comfort zone you might be able to keep
your life you think that would force you
to get outside of your comfort zone you
see a woman that you're attracted to you
want to go talk to her you know your
life's on the line you think you're
going to do it it was cica who said we
have one chain that holds us back it's
our love for life he also said rehearse
your death this is to rehearse your
freedom one of the most powerful things
a human being can do is contemplate
their impermanence and how quickly their
life will fly by this is one of the most
important things you can do so another
thing I would start is I would start
being ruthlessly disciplined with my
schedule that means say say no to
everything that did not push me closer
directly to getting to a million a month
I'd start turning off all the
distractions during the day social media
texts tv YouTube videos all that stuff
I'd start writing down my goals and my
Northstar metrics every day and I'd
start making a minimum of 300 cold calls
per day until I find a more effective
form of Outreach I'm hitting the phones
I'm going to do whatever it takes I'd
start listening to a sales or marketing
podcast only when I'm not directly
working so when I'm at the gym I'm still
going to exercise when I go on walks I'm
still going to give myself rest in
cognitive breaks throughout the week
when I'm driving somewhere I'm going to
be listening to content I'm not going to
be listening to music and then I'd start
reinvesting as much into my personal
brand and my business development as
humanly possible so I can hit that
million dollar a month goal and I'd also
start an alarm on my phone that says
you're going to die in fact I actually
did this for a long time I need to set
it up again I had two alarms that would
remind me daily you're going to die
there's something powerful about
reminding yourself of your impermanence
now what would I stop doing if I had 12
months to hit a million a month or I die
I would stop staying up past 10 p.m. I'd
stop drinking alcohol and smoking weed
which I don't do now anyway but if
you're doing that definitely stop I'd
stop ingesting food or drinks that
negatively affect my cognitive
performance I'd stop all social media
usage Facebook Instagram Tik Tok YouTube
If it wasn't related to the business I'm
not doing it I'd stop spending time with
people who do not push me towards my
goal and that includes family no more
parties no more going out just to go out
no more going out to eat just to waste
time and have unproductive conversations
that keep me mediocre and average no
more chasing women that I don't even
care about I'd stop reading books that
don't directly apply to my growth and
achieving this goal I'd stop consuming
content that does not directly
contribute to my achievement and that
means I'm not watching a Mr Beast
freaking video bro I don't care how cool
the thumb thil is I'm not watching a
vlog of some Guru myself included I'm
not if it does not provide me value to
achieve the goal I'm not consuming it
because by doing productive
procrastination activities that feel
good but don't actually push the needle
forward you give yourself this false hit
of dopamine to feel like you're
progressing when actually you're just
staying in the same spot and if you're
not progressing you're dying the other
thing I would do that's very important
is I would stop buying things that don't
actually matter this is a big one it's
simple but it's so important every
dollar I make is going back into my mind
and into my business into my network
into somehow growing my goal I'm not
buying watches and super nice clothes
I'm I'm I'm saving as much money as I
can so I can invest as much as I
possibly can to hit a million a month
because the biggest expense that you and
I have is the information that we do not
yet know I'd also stop over exercising I
would stay in good shape uh but you know
I used to do like 2our lifts per day I'd
be running three times a week I was just
exhausting myself and I always got hurt
and I couldn't make effective decisions
so I would work out but I wouldn't wear
out and then last but not least I'd stop
all Sean release porn masturbation
chasing girls at the bar going on Tinder
I am going full monk mode because
remember your life's on the line your
life is on the line are you willing to
sacrifice that I personally would be
because in his famous book thinking Grow
Rich Napoleon Hill talked about this he
said after meeting and studying a ton of
successful men the one common thing he
found was that they learned how to
transmute their sexual energy into
something that was financially
productive turn your sexual energy into
your business transmute that energy into
building it it is a GameChanger think
longterm ruthlessly execute in the short
term create a three-year vision for your
life reverse engineer it into a one-year
goal quarterly objective weekly tracking
with a daily activity list then imagine
if you only had a year left to live or
your life was over how would that change
who you are what would you start doing
what would you stop doing if you follow
this you will make it unreasonable to
not achieve your goal because it's not
about the tactics it's about becoming
the person who's worthy and capable of
using the tactics
